Brought my iPad in for repair. I was told that the iPad was fried and the tech attempted to show me visible evidence that the iPad would never work again. I didn't see any burn marks but was assured the iPad was dead. I was then was asked a series of questions about the kind of cord or surge protector I used. Then it was suggested that I trade it in for another iPad Pro since it could not be repaired. When told that your only going to be charged a certain amount ($50.oo) to be exact and that being for deposit hold until New phone got delivered to store, which 1-2 business days is what he informed me usually takes , then once my new phone arrived , receive text alert ,be notified, & come back to store to pick up , & then pay the remaining amount, which also another issue being this guy said would approximately be around only $100.oo. In the last year I have come here 3 times to repair various MacBooks for my family. Twice Dylan has replaced my screen (cracked due to a camera cover, and after it was bitten by a cat!!), both times we received the MacBook back as good as new and with a quick turn around (time is driven by how long it takes for parts to arrive and apple to give their ok). there was no communication, I had to keep calling and check, when I dropped my watch I was told someone will call in evening and inform what is plan, I called after 3 days to know that they are replacing, then replacement reached after 7 days, replacement delay can be on apple side but there was no communications from kangaroo. Very pleased with the service at this location. The Technician, Dylan, is very knowledgeable, competent, and communicates findings and recommendations via text message quickly. He successfully restored a MacBook Pro 2017 with a black screen issue within about 8 working hours, taking the time to answer questions and explain options on the phone. The gentlemen was nice, but charged 35.00 for "diagnostic" then would call me with a repair quote. I took my IPhone 14 pro max in for repair because I dropped it and cracked the lens. He calls and tells me I need a whole new back cover replacement according to his diagnosis and apple. The cost would be $625.00. I elect to pick my phone up and just replace the phone. I go to AT&T to buy a new phone. They look at my phone and said there is nothing wrong with your phone, the Zagg glass shield is broken. The remove the glass shield from lens and my phone doesn't have a scratch on it. If I could give one star I would. Went on Sunday to pick up AirPods and part of the AirPod is missing. So now one is intact while the one is missing a part. Dillion, who manages the establishment, wasn't working but was told he would respond accordingly. So $85 to fix my AirPods that now I can't even use and need to get replacements parts from Apple, I guess that's value and customer service. I brought my Macbook Pro in today because the keyboard was exhibiting these three behaviors in addition to the fading letters: letters or characters repeat unexpectedly or do not appear + key(s) feel "sticky" or do not respond in a consistent manner. As backed by Apple's Keyboard Service Program, I didn't have to pay a dime (including the diagnostic fees). I was only expecting a keyboard replacement, but luckily it included the battery and touch bar replacement. The diagnostic process took an hour, the parts shipped overnight, and the replacements took about 3 hours the following day. My laptop feels brand new! I first when to the McKinney location he told me they didn't have loaner phones and that he would set me up 6 days later at the plano store and that they would have a loner phone to help me or the parts for my phone so it would be fixed that day. I get to my appointment and the man is super rude. Doesn't seem to even want to help me. Just points to the screen for me to check in doesn't even speak to me. I brought my laptop to Mobile Kangaroo (the Plano location). It's a little haul from Dallas but worth the drive. Was referred by Apple but I would bring all my Apple products here in the future. My laptop needed a new part and it was on backorder but Tyler and Christian kept me posted via emails and texts. Everything went smoothly and though it was a little delayed due to Apple's stock, I was kept in the loop. When I picked up my laptop, they told me that they noticed that my keyboard was recalled and they went ahead and replaced all the recalled parts which save me an extra trip. They also have all the proper process in place during this pandemic to protect the customers so I am very satisfied. Highly recommend these guys. read more

Be aware that the total cost of repair for MacBook may vary greatly compared to what Apple Store provides. Mobile Kangaroo was more than double of what Apple Store quoted ($199 at Apple Store .vs. $454 @ Mobile Kangaroo) to replace the battery in my MacBook. I paid $65 diagnostic fee up front ... Apple charges $0 for diagnostic. Mobile Kangaroo Customer Service responded "Our prices are independent of Apple store prices and we have to charge for parts and labor while Apple may not." Apple referred me to them otherwise I would not have thought of coming to this place. I replaced my MacBook Pro battery here. Honest group of guys and will go above and beyond to help you. They charge $65 as a diagnostic fee, which is not something you would see at the Apple Genius Bar. However, they apply that amount towards your final bill. Their prices do not generally follow Apple's (Mobile Kangaroo are more expensive), but they worked with me to come close to Apple's price point. I left the store with my laptop battery replaced and when I reached home I found out that one of my USB ports was not working (power but no data). I called them back and they urged me to bring the laptop back, which I did. Carl helped me out with this and less than 5 minutes later I was out of there with a fully functional laptop and a brand new battery (turns out an NVRAM reset was all what was needed).
