Went in expecting a simple fix. Left with new problems, vague explanations, and the sense that no one really knew what they were doing but they were very confident about it. Communication was minimal, updates were unclear, and I had to follow up multiple times just to get half-answers. Oh, and a heads-up: if you value your settings, data, or even just being told what's happening to your device, you won't get that here. I had returned from a trip from Mexico in around June and decided to go to this shop because my screen turned black and no longer worked. When I came to get it repaired he repaired it then sent me on my way, I had no issues until about 3 weeks later when my phone screen had gone black again the same way it did in mexico. I went to his shop on his posted hours only for the store to be locked and no one be there so I decided to go get it checked out by another phone repair shop since it was nearby. Turns out that shop owner told me the reason my phone had broken again is because Mike ( the person who had originally fixed my phone) failed to put two screws back in my phone and that's why it broke again and he forgot to put something else back in my phone as well . I first call Mike and then he text me, he told me where to sent my I-watch. I sent my I-watch on August 14th and it got there August 19th, 2024. I asked Mike if he received the watch. He let me know a week later he got the watch. Another week goes by and I asked him if they have fixed my watch. He then respond 3 days later that my watched can't be fixed. I was disappointed but as long as they send me back my watch it was fine, this was on August 30th. He respond on Monday September 2nd it will be shipped out the next day. I responded a few times and no respond for over a week. It's September 11th, 2024 and Mike has not responded or sent back my watch. Over 4 weeks with my watch and did absolutely nothing. That did not happen , the next day i called and asked for an update and was told i would get one later that day. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN EITHER. I know times are different and things are handled different however I have tried for 3/4 days to get my screen replaced again. I finally caved and went and paid another $180 dollars to be told my screen wasn't installed correctly. It was missing an adhesive to make sure it was sealed all the way and properly and a blue sticker/film was left on the inside of the screen causing it to over heat. I see the response from the owner trying to sabotage the legitimacy of my review but don't be swayed. Most consumers only go and make raving reviews or bad reviews. It's the nature of online reviews. I'm not motivated to go make a mediocre review of every business I visit because they don't stand out and it's time consuming. Secondly, it was this business, I am not rating a business down the street. And as a consumer, you can go on and dig further on other websites (Facebook, google, etc) and find reviews that back mine up. I'd suggest the owner google "how to respond to a customer's bad review" and follow that advice and they might get more repeat customers.... I also had him put a screen protector on for me for $10 since it would cost nearly the same for me to order on Amazon and put it in myself (and I seem to always still get bubbles on it).
