These guys are a total scam. I brought my laptop to them, because it wouldn't power on. The little light on the keyboard wouldn't even illuminate, which means that the power from the AC outlet isn't being transmitted to the motherboard. I've worked in IT for 30-years and knew the exact problem with my laptop, before bringing to this company. I just don't have the tools to directly soldier onto the motherboard, which is what this computer needed to be fixed. They kept my laptop for 2 days, before telling me that I needed to pay them $225 for a new battery, but the battery on this laptop works fine and even if the battery was bad, I should still be able to power this laptop on and use it, which I can't. If I followed their diagnosis and allowed them to charge me too much for a battery, then the laptop would have worked long enough for me to pay their $225 bill, but a few hours after the repair, when the charge runs out of the new battery, the laptop would stop working and I'd have to carry it back to this company to ostensibly do another root-cause analysis and charge me too much money again, because they never addressed the root cause of the problem which is that no power is getting to the motherboard to either start the computer or charge the battery. I don't want these people touching my computer, since they know less about the issue than I do. They still required me to pay $53 for a diagnostic fee to get my laptop back, which is ridiculous, because their diagnosis is wrong. They tried to scam me and when I got the computer back, the case is not even fully put back together and there are screws missing from the laptop. I initially refused to pay for a bad diagnosis, but they refused to return my laptop, unless I paid, so I recanted to be able to reclaim my laptop. It doesn't cost me anything to file a civil suit against this company, so they haven't heard the last from me. read more

ZERO - that's what we got for $190+ Needed them to recover our previously-working, in-house Microsoft PC network. The "nerd" dithered around for an hour and left (with our money) saying WE needed to get the Admin password for our router and then he would come back. WE found the password on the back of the router and logged into the Admin account with no problem. Called the "nerd" and ... crickets. Contacted their office. Got excuses and promises to call back and a week later ... Save YOUR money and time, find someone who really knows networking. read more

I was very pleased with NerdsToGo in Plano helping me to get much better routers in my home and my back patio. I spoke with someone in their office about updating my Deco brand routers that were always dropping offline to the eero brand of routers I had seen on Amazon and read some incredible reviews on. I am a baby boomer; and not very hands-on when it comes to network components other than printers. The gentleman I talked to assured me they had techs that could do the install, initialization of eero routers and make sure they were working properly. Ian was the tech I had the pleasure of working with. He was right on time; got everything hooked up and running with 2 eero units in my home and one on my covered patio. I felt that my old desktop was on its last legs when I contacted NerdsToGo in Plano TX regarding cleaning up the computer and possibly upgrading the OS to give a couple more years before replacement. I am thrilled with the results. Not only did they improve the computer's functionality 1000%, but they also moved all the old files to the cloud and removed numerous unnecessary apps.
