An excellent company. Great pricing for work performed. Reflective barrier works like a charm and the new rockwool insulation improved sound proofing and heat transfer from the attic to our second floor. There was an issue where I purchased more than what was needed, so there was quite a bit of insulation left. When I questioned management about it, team came out and looked into areas over one room not being done. Because of the strange design of our attic, they could not physically get to that rooms ceiling. A generous refund for that square footage was issued and I could not be happier! House repairs can be such a nightmare. But I can honestly say it was such a pleasure to have Attic Insulation Labs work on our house! Even from Day 1 when we requested a quote they were very responsive and timely with sending someone out to assess the work to be done. The quote we received via email also had copies of licensure and proof of insurance. Our house was built in the 60s and had HVAC ducts with asbestos wrapping. We not only needed new HVAC ducts, but asbestos abatement. Although this company doesn't do the asbestos abatement, they referred us to a company they work with that does. We didn't need to lift a finger. They coordinated everything. The abatement was scheduled on a Tuesday and HVAC duct installation on a Wednesday so we wouldn't be without heat for too long. Very considerate. We were well-informed about what to expect, received updates on arrival times and experienced excellent customer service. The team who came out to do the installation included Erwin, Pastor and Mynor. They are very professional, punctual and polite. They took the time to place plastic around the area to be worked on and left ZERO MESS. At the end of the day they ran our system to make sure it was working well, showed us the work they performed, and sent us pictures via email. It is obvious they take pride in their work. They even did a sweep of our driveway to ensure stray nails or screws were not left behind. They go above and beyond and are an extremely hard-working crew. Initial Review: From start to finish this company did a fantastic job for us. We first found this company through Yelp and from one of the reviews it sounded exactly like the situation we were in. We have a modest house built in the 1950's that ran hot AF in the summers and cold AF in the winters. Abraham, the operations manager, came to promptly to the house and surveyed our attic. He was kind and patience as he explained the insulation process to us. After that within the day he generated an electronic contract with photos of our attic and a break down of the cost of the services. He responded to my emails immediately. Once we agreed to the terms, we were able to setup the Install the next week. No time was wasted. Insulation Labs were able to accommodate us with a 3rd company team for Asbestos abatement and set up their insulation the day after. We were so relieved because the days were getting hotter. The Attic Insulation Labs crew came in on time and started work immediately. Erwin and his team (Pastor, Daniel G, Mynor and Ruben) neatly laid out floor coverings and setup at little plastic containment area and sorted us out. Very professional. After soliciting 7 different proposals to clean out and redo the attic insulation, we selected the team at Insulation Labs and are really glad we did. From the beginning, the process was easy and fair. Dianna answered the original call and promptly scheduled someone to do a free consult and Adam showed up the following week. After spending some time looking in the attic, he was not high pressure at all and asked if we had any preference on the material. Since I prefer blown cellulose (resists pests and insulates better than fiberglass per inch), he was more than happy to write up a proposal which he sent over less than an hour after he left. The pricing for R-38 cellulose was extremely competitive and fair. Insulation Labs was one of the few companies I contacted that even offered cellulose; others wanted almost 2x for blown fiberglass. On the day of install, a team of 4 showed up in the middle of the arrival window and got right to work. They set up a plastic barrier/tunnel from the front door, down the hallway, and right up to the attic access/hatch. For almost 6 hours, the team was cleaning out all of the old blown insulation in our ~1,400 sq ft attic, rodent proofing gaps, air sealing throughout and sanitizing the space. It took them less than 2 hours to blow in all the new cellulose, minding the platform that held our HVAC air handler by making sure it did not get buried. They maintained clearance at the eave vents using R-30 fiberglass batts so they would not get clogged as well as creating a barrier using the batts around the attic access so cellulose would not fall into the house if opened. Everything was packed up, cleaned, and back to normal by 530PM. Our house temperature is much more consistent already. Call them now if you're considering an insulation upgrade! read more

These guys were contracted through Homeshield Pest Control to replace all of my old and soiled insulation in my attic. I first received a phone call from Eric stating that he would be at my home shortly to perform the daunting task. He was very polite and informative on everything they were going to do and how much time it was going to take. The immediately started setting up by laying down some thick towel-like stuff on the floor and then taking some tension rods to make a tunnel of painters plastic from my attic entrance to the front door. Then they taped everything down to make sure it was all sealed and nothing would leave the work space. They got up in the attic and removed all the old insulation, cleaned up all of the attic space and then placed all brand new insulation with no issues. This job was, in total, about 8 hours to do. Eric and his crew were amazing. They even found a live rat in the attic as they were cleaning, so they had to exterminate him. After they were all done, they tore everything down fast and left the area of my house super clean. He even let me get up on the ladder and see the work they performed before they left. I'm writing this review from my much cooler beach home thanks to Attic Insulation Labs. There is a DRAMATIC temperature difference inside! So impressed with this business from start to finish. Older beach homes were built without any attic insulation. Hey, it's the beach and the weather is perfect all the time, right? I didn't want to install A/C because that's just not necessary when the weather maxes out at 80 degrees outside! The problem is, without insulation, the inside can heat up quickly on a sunny day. We have been thinking about insulating in the "attic" for a long time, but never found a company that was dedicated to the task. We didn't want cheap "blown in" insulation because we have a house fan that takes cool air in through the windows blows it out the attic. A recent Yelp search revealed Attic Insulation Labs does exactly the job we were looking for. Oliver came all the way from the San Fernando valley to give us a quote right away. He's the epitome of a young professional businessman. Five stars for this guy. He runs an honest and efficient operation. He examined our home and recommended the best solution without any upsell. Insulation labs came and re-did the entire air ducts for the house. I was lucky to get such a quick appointment time. They did everything in four hours. For transparency purposes, I did not use this company to do my attic insulation.  Adam came out to my house to look at my attic and gave me a quote.  He was kind and did follow up two weeks later asking if I received an email with the breakdown that he sent me.  I never received an email.  He did give me a quote while he was at my house.  The quote to blow insulation and to "clean" my attic was $3,900.  I was stunned at the price!  I already had another company give me a quote to blow in the insulation and that price was $1,900.  I explained to Adam that I already had this quote and what would the price be to do the same thing and not "clean" the attic.  The quote for that was $2,800.  I thanked him for his time and went with Broken Drum who did a great job today! read more

I was very pleased with the service and quality of work from Attic Insulation Labs. Dor came to give me the estimate and I thought his presentation was the most organized of any of the contractors. He also was pretty patient when I called with follow up questions. They were not the lowest bid but I felt confident that their price was upfront about the cost and materials to be installed. The crews (the asbestos abatement company and Insulation Labs) were neat and thorough and clearly knew what they were doing, and the photos showed that they got rid of multiple layers of nasty, broken-down stuff, and replaced it with clean, properly secured materials. There was no problem claiming the SoCal Gas rebate with the before and after pictures. This older house has had a weird smell for years and years. I thought it was in the nasty old carpet, but a few weeks after the new ducts and insulation was installed, the smell was gone! I am so glad we did the attic clean-up as the first step in restoring the house.
