Attic Construction provides absolutely stellar service. Attic work wasn't the top priority project on my mind until I heard an animal scratching in the ceiling. I called a couple of companies for rodent proofing and insulation quotes. I knew our house has some old asbestos ducts that needed to be removed and that the attic space was a mess since the previous owners did little to keep the house in good shape. Jason came by and his thorough inspection and explanation of what needed to happen was very helpful, and he refuted another company's fear mongering tactics about our asbestos ducts which calmed some of my worries. This was no small project and Jason was always willing to answer questions and come by to check how things were going. Ok, no one ever wants to have to call some attic guys. But when you do have to call, you have to read through like 100 reviews of 10 different companies. We'll, I'm here to save you the trouble. Attic Construction is the real deal. They basically had to do a whole truckload worth of cleaning just to get to the point where they could repair, rodent-proof, seal the attic and replace the insulation. But that's not what makes them outstanding. It's guys like Eusebio. We were having some issues with ducts/vents that we could not figure out. Eusebio came in and found some things that no one in his position would be required to fix - but he did it anyway. Because that's the kind of guy he is. He goes above and beyond. In fact, the whole company is like that. They addressed everything with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. They provided a free inspection with images of my attic and were transparent and thorough of my situation. I initially called for dust problem accumulating in one of my rental property. The company sent out a sales consultant by the name of Adam whom was also my point of contact mobile # (714)787-6521. Adam insisted that we had a bad rodent problem. He also claimed that the ducts had leaks/ holes that could cause dust to get into the air ducts which was causing bad debris to get into the home. It was later confirmed by the workers that there were NO RODENTS, the ducts are fairly new, and had nothing wrong with them (no leaks/cracks/ holes). Adam's consulting was completely INACCURATE and DISHONEST. Adam promised before I hired him that he would come back to check on the job to make sure everything was done correctly. Adam has flaked/cancelled 3 appointments and has not followed up with my tenants. Instead he called me to tell me it was probably an air duct problem all along. It costed us 4k for Attic Construction to remove batts from attic and a blown-in insulation installation when all we needed was to get the air ducts cleaned. The company sent out a team of 3 young men Kevin, Leon, and a 3rd the following day. They came at 9:30am and finished by 5:30pm. These men were very respectful, resourceful, and got the job done in a timely manner. Kevin, did go over the completed job thoroughly and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. The air duct company confirmed that there is no way that dust can get into the house from the attic. It's not connected to vents what so ever. They also mentioned that the batts we had were more effective than what was installed and will probably see an increase in the electricity bill once summer comes around. Tip: It is best to pay with by check because the company charges a credit card fee of 3%. read more
