I used their automated booking website to set up two appointments one for attic clean out and reinstall new insulation and the other for new duct work. I think I'm all set then I get a random phone call from an Alfredo who leaves a voice mail and said he is too busy that day and leaves no alternative. I quickly call him back several time and I get a recording stating his voicemail is full. great customer service. Why have a system that allows you to make an appointment but it's no good. We had to have our Attics cleaned out due to the ash & soot from the fire. Fortunately a friend in Sierra Madre used The Attic Guys recently & highly recommended their work. They just finished our homes today & they all were great. They texted before & after photos, created a protective sealed walkway from the front door into the attic, sealed up around ducts, rat proofed, vacuumed out, hung a duct that needed it, cleaned out old blown-in insulation, & put in new insulation in one home & installed denim we needed in the attic walkway areas in the other home. I woke up one morning to find maggots dropping out of my can lights in my kitchen. So that was fun. I immediately realized something had died in my attic and there's no way I'm going up there so I started to call around, I spoke to 4 or 5 other companies before I finally found Michael at attic guys, Can you believe the other companies were happy to make me an appointment 5 to 7 days later, even after explaining to them there's maggots dropping from my ceiling. I was recommended to use this company from a former HVAC teacher. He said there prices are really good and they are very thorough. He was right. They were about $2,000 less than one of their competitors. I had them come today to vacuum out my old insulation, sanitize and rodent proof my attic. When I told Lenell that I recently had a new roof put on and that I was sure there was a lot of debris in the attic form the removal process he made it sound like no big deal. When I'm fact I'm sure it made the job for all 3 of them harder and longer. That was much appreciated. I called the Attic Guys because I wanted our attic to be cleaned so that I can store seasonal stuff up there. They said they don't just clean attics. They can clean it to get rid of pest or change the insulation. We just bought our house so getting it check wont hurt. Alfredo came and did the estimate. He was very honest. He said we don't really need new insulation. However, we can probably save money if we change the insulation to the new standard hight. His honesty was the one that made us change our insulation. He didn't force us or up-sell anything. When I go up in the attic, I least I want clean and new insulation. Odie, OG, and Kyle were very respectfull of our house, very professional, and very polite. They came back late for lunch and explained that they were stuck in traffic. Very apologetic. They taped up our bedroom really good! See pix. I just completed what was supposed to be a two-day, back to back attic cleaning and new insulation with the Attic Guys. It took two weeks to complete. The crews are very nice but I had to watch the day-two crew as the day one crew broke the attic ladder and the smaller access door without telling me and left wood debris and many nails. The first one-week delay was caused by illness of one of their two carpenters. You can't avoid illness but advance notice as soon as you know you are short staff is good customer service. They were supposed to arrive between 8-10 am and told me at 9:30. I had cleared my entire day. My bedroom had plastic film on the walls and taped floor covering. That was ok for a day or two, but two weeks was too long! i finally took it down myself after the second delay. They did give me a credit for the inconvenience of the delay that I had to insist on. The second one-week delay was caused by rain but again they did not call me early enough for me to adjust my schedule. Another day was lost. I was not told when I signed the contract that rain might hold up the project. The second-day clean up was finally done yesterday. They arrived at. 1:00 p.m. and did not call until noon to say they were delayed. I waited between 8-10 and called the office several times and emailed Mr. Lew for an update and heard nothing! They again wasted my entire morning waiting. Again the crew was very nice but I had to ask them if they disinfected, sealed all of the holes, picked up the nails with a magnet as their manager Mr. Lew promised they would. I went up to look during the process and had to ask them to vacuum after they installed the plywood. They broke a door pull that I had to point out to them and asked them more than twice to fix the attic ladder with a metal strap to reinforce the wood. The carpenter said he would do it, but didn't until I insisted. The metal strap he had was too big and he used the zip ties I supplied. Overall the customer service is terrible. Mr. Lew should have responded to emails if only to say they received them and are looking into the issue. I sent him an email with photos of the broken attic access door and the broke attic ladder and never received a reply. I again sent him an email when the second-day crew did not arrive between 8-10 as promised. I felt invisible and ignored. The Office woman was equally non-responsive and snippy. I do not recommend Attic Guys and will tell all my friends in the housing area I live in not to use them. read more

I've had issues with my ac for the longest time. Even with the new ac system, airflow to the second floor was weak. The attic guys removed the old insulation, replaced the ducts, put a attic fan, and installed new insulation in two days. The airflow was definitely better but one of the rooms was still not getting enough cold air. Bruce came back to assess the issue and suggested creating a more direct pathway to the room that wasn't getting enough cold air. He came back few days after and executed it beautifully. No joke, I have to wear a robe because it's too cold on the second floor. Definitely recommend attic guys for their great service and work! read more

I couldn't be happier with the quality of their work and wonderful job that Ezell and his incredible team (Ezell Jr., Keshon, Kyle) did today in my home. They did a fabulous job and were so clean and conscientious, they were amazing, plus they were the nicest guys to have in your home. I should have done this years ago, and I was only thinking about insulation being needed when I called the company, not knowing about the rodents that had nested there over the years and the holes in the wood getting in from the outside they had made, the attic was a mess. Ezell made sure that all the holes from the outside were closed off with thick metal mesh, which he drilled on and checked the surrounding outside of my home too. I will probably have this same team come back and install new air ducts next, and I've recommended them to my neighbors across the street, who will be calling for an attic cleaning too. When I called their number, They said one of their guys would call me back in a couple hours. Turns out, they meant I had to call them back a couple days later. When I finally made an appointment for an inspection, they were a no show no call. I rearranged my schedule for these guys and they simply didn't show up. I called their office only to get a message. I called the number back of the guy who made the appointment with me only to get a voice mail. Did work for me over a month ago. Damaged my ceiling in my primary bedroom. Understandable, it is an older house. And accidents happen. I get it. Repair guy was scheduled for a month later. We had a recent issue with roof rats using our attic as a night club at night. We called Attic Guys at 9am, Ezell was there by 11am for inspection and quote was done by Noon. We had arranged for several other quotes to come out, but Ezell demonstrated such confidence and integrity that we were sold almost immediately. We were able to schedule the service, a complete removal and reinstallation of insulation, sterilization and clean out, sealing and duct replacement to happen the next day, even with the holiday upon us. The office staff (didn't catch name) was helpful, responsive, and very friendly. Everything we were told, had follow through and execution as promised. Pricing quote was very competitive and product quality was better than expected. The crew showed up on time and prepared. Attic Guys took care to barrier off areas and kept to the promise of working "clean", especially while the kids and pets were still at home during the job. Ezell, Ezell and Enrique were great (the rest of the crew went right to work and didn't catch their names) they explained what they were going to do and the work was very well done, in less time than promised. It was a great experience to end a s#!&&y situation, from first call to completion. Soooo happy this company honored their commitment of date and time with me after previous scheduling problems. Thank you thank you! Brian came and did a complete inspection to see if and where rodents were getting in. He was very professional and left me his personal business card to contact him in the event we have any other signs of rats getting in or trying to get in. He was also very kind and apologetic about our previous scheduling experiences (he didn't know). I guess the reason this company's schedule is so impacted is because they are so busy - which is a good thing I think. So all in all I'm still glad we chose them and would recommend using them still. The only thing I might recommend to the company is perhaps some telephone training and etiquette to help them as much as their customers minimize miscommunications. I had an estimate done by AG's back in May. The sales seemed personable and knowledgeable. I decided to wait till next winter to have my attic cleaned. So recently I discovered the sales guy forgot to turn off the light switch up in my attic so its been on for over 3 months 24/7. I called AG's a few days ago and no one answered the phone so I left a voicemail explaining what happened and asking them to send someone out to climb up in my attic to shut off the light. No one ever returned my call which to me says" we dont care" Because I am old and disabled I now have to pay someone to come over and shut the light, not to mention the electricity cost. We are extremely satisfied with the service we received from Attic Guys at our residence when we had a rat infestation in 2014. They took great care to cover everything and carefully carry out contaminated insulation. We have not had any problems since and our new insulation has been great. They obviously also sealed the holes well because we have not had any rats since. This is why, when we had another house that needed decontamination and new insulation, we thought to call Attic Guys! Again, they conscientiously plastic sheeted everything and were super careful to safely contain the mess. They worked with our budget and gave us a good price too. And they were able to do it sooner than anyone else. If you have had rats and need to get rid of your contaminated insulation and reinsulate, these are the guys you want to do it! read more

UPDATE: On December 14, the following day the office sent someone to fix everything. Thank you. ON On 12/2-12/3, they came to clean, sanitize and replace insulation and cover all the open areas that rodents were getting in. Here is a list of things they did not finish 1. My surveillance camera shows that mice can still come in because they did not seal all the holes they said they would cover. 2. Two of my recessed lights in the kitchen got loose while working in the attic and were unable to connect them back. 3. While working in the attic, they disconnected my furnace/home heater. And since December 3, 2021, I have had no heat in the house. I'm in my 70's and without heat at night is very painful for my arthritis. I have been calling every day, and no response until this past Friday, 12/11. A man called me and said, "I have a miscall from this number,"  I told him all that needed to be fixed, and he said he would get someone out to me on Saturday 12/11/2021. No one came or called. Today 12/13/2021, I have left three messages and no return call. I guess my next step is to stop payment with my credit card company. read more

I called Attic Guys & got an estimate to remove my old fiberglass attic insulation . They gave me a good price so I scheduled with them to do the removal 12/20/2022. When they showed up, I had the attic access in the garage & the hallway of the house open & ready for them. I explained what I wanted done & after an hour into it, the senior guy came down & asked me if I wanted the knee wall insulation removed ( I told them before they even started that "I wanted ALL the insulation removed" ) so, again I stated that like I had originally said, I want all the insulation removed. well after 3 hours they came down & said they were finished. Then they tried to charge me more than we had agreed on ! The main guy called his supervisor & they talked for about 10 minutes & he had me talk to his supervisor, his supervisor stated that my house was larger than I supposedly stated. So, I helped his senior guy measure it & he recalled his supervisor back ( his supervisor stated that they were going to let it slide but, if I had them do the reinsulate I would have to pay extra. I got up in the attic about 2 months later & those crooks didn't remove any of the knee wall & left about 25 batts in hard to get to areas. These guys are crooks !!! I am not one to write reviews but feel that consumers should be aware of this. First, the good: The insulation cleanup and installation was great. The team was nice and took their time to clean everything up. Now the bad: Don't go here if you want to rid your house of rodents. I don't think it is their specialty. 1 week out and we still have rodents and entry points. I had two pest control companies assess the job and they showed me several entries still in use plus areas where foam was used when they should have used metal or concrete. I now have to pay to have a pest control company come back and block everything off. There were other issues as well that were indicative of poor work and the follow up was poor. I appreciate Attic Guys attempt to send someone out to fix the issue, but if it was done so poorly the first round, I cannot see them fixing it in the future. If you are looking to fix a rat problem, I recommend you get quotes from pest companies and other attic companies. Also make sure they do external proofing for the walls and garage if needed too. If you are just looking to refresh the attic- this company could be great. I would have rated them a 4 or 5 on the attic job, but because they advertise that they will address rat issues, I have to rank it much lower. read more

I made a appointment to get an estimate for our attic, They got all of my info and they said they would be there the next day between 11 AM and 1 PM and Would call 1/2 hour before they would arrive. Today they guy called left a message saying he was in route 25 minutes away. Well we waited and waited and 1 hour and a half later still no one showed. I finally called to see what was going on, he answered saying there was some kind of mistake and confusion with the scheduling dept but I told him how is there confusion when you literally called me saying you were on your way?? He had nothing to say, just uh yeah sorry. I was so annoyed and frustrated that I wasted my time and energy. I can't believe this company would not have the courtesy to call and explain that something came up and they needed to reschedule or anything, but to just leave someone hanging is so unprofessional and ridiculous!! The worst company to deal with. Horrible customer service and no regard for the needs of the customer. First attempt at installation of insulation one of the installers didn't show up so they could do the install. Second attempt the installers arrived but with the wrong material. Dealing with Ashley and Madisen was horrible. Ashley was rude and could have cared less about the inconvenience caused. When I asked to speak to someone in management she told me I was not allowed to. Now I'm being told I can't have the installation completed for six months. Again when I asked to speak to management I was told they were not available. This company has no regard for the customer whatsoever. read more

And let me tell you that I obtained six quotes for the job and every company price range were from $2,600 to $3,500. The day of install, the crew foreman was led by David. David and his staff of four employee did an outstanding job in the attic last week. I knew that the old insulation had accumulated lots of dust and maybe some dropping over the years. Here are a few remarkable advantages that I really like about this company: 1) They arrived on time, even called a day before to remind me, 2) They inspected the attic thoroughly for almost an hour. (unlike many other contractors), 3) Put the estimate in writing and explained it really well to me and answered all my question, 4) The scheduling was hassle free and II was contacted by scheduler and she was most courteous and accommodating. 5) All the employees at AtticGuy, Ezell, David, Jon and the scheduler are most professional and courteous. 6) The entire project was all done in one day. &) The crew did not leave any mess behind. After the completion of the job, David walk me through what they have done, and asked me if I have any questions or concerns regarding the job. He invited me to call him with any questions or concerns. Noteworthy incidence that my A/C line leaked and damaged some of the insulation the same day due to faulty HVAC line as I had the HVAC replaced three days ago. The leak had nothing to do with the work that AtticGuy has done in attic. So I called Jon from AtticGuy at 8:45PM and Jon called me at 9:30PM on Friday evening to inform me that he will have his crew to send to inspect that if the damage is caused by his workers. And it turned out that the A/C leak was a separate incident and had nothing to do with the work that AtticGuy performed in the attic. Jon was OUTSTANDING; He replaced the damaged insulation area at no charge and offer solutions and suggestions for the A/C HVAC. Overall, this company deserve a SIX YELP STAR and I had a fantastic experience with Jon, David and the entire crew. I can state that the AtticGuy company was the one of the best crew of all the contractors that worked on the remodeling project. So update, back in 2017 after a month had passed we started smelling a dead rodent in attic crawl space. We called them back they came out like next day or two. We knew where to send the service guy due to the smell, he was up there for maybe ten mins. He found the dead rodent he had it sanitized where the carcass was and had the carcass in tightly sealed bag. They had missed this one dead carcass from the first service time. And no charge cause of awesome guarantee they have. After the last time Attic Guys came through we never had an issue with rodents again. Awesome work guys!
