It's very convenient downtown, and for being in the area, I appreciated that they had dedicated parking spots available. Inside is more of a quick grab and go setup with no dine in seating, which works fine if you're just stopping by for a quick treat. Unfortunately, the service could've been a little better. I wasn't greeted when I walked in, and it felt like I was bothering the worker when I asked about the Nurses Week special. The interaction just didn't feel very welcoming. I asked if I could choose any cookie for the deal, but they were out of the chocolate chunk, which was the one I originally wanted. I have gone here for years. It's a very intimate place on the inside. It's a great snack after you go to the bars/restaurants/clubs later in the evening since it's open til 3. The cookies are always warm and delicious. The staff is friendly and gave us a good rec. Whenever I come back to Insomnia Cookies it reminds me of my college days walking on campus to get a cookie. I really enjoyed the cookies I got, they were flavorful, and had plenty of chocolate chips in them! I had the chocolate chunk cookie, triple chocolate chunk cookie, and peanut butter cup deluxe cookie which was fire. As a result for pickup I got a reward for a free chocolate chip cookie for National Cookie day. The pickup was very simple and I didn't have to wait at all, the service was great, and I appreciate the packaging. Overall no other customer was in the store so I didn't have to wait in a line and there was plenty of parking so pull in to buy some cookies! However, I can't say the same for their workers.. as far as having a pleasant experience. This is my second time at this location and the first time was AMAZING. This time.. the workers were just sitting in the back.. I sat for about 10 mins literally before someone came out... only because I coughed (it's flu/cold season) when she came out.. didn't greet anybody. So I said "Hello" because I'm just a friendly and assertive person.. Sad. Broad ripple will still be my go to. I went in to order chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, chocolate mint chip and pb cup chocolate cookies. I ended up with two sugar cookies and a peanut butter cookie instead of the chocolate chip. When I stated what about the chocolate chip the guy with the light eyes said that's what I ordered. Ok. They were not oven warm, but microwave warm. The cookies were soft but the sizes were off. The peanut butter cookie was huge, the rest of them were small. I usually give a place 2 chances for mess ups, anyone can have a bad day, the vibe was off there, won't be returning. Oh and the cookies were all stacked so peanut butter tasted like mint.
