    Lemon Curd Ginger Snap
    Scott N.

We were in town from Cincinnati. We met friends in The Garage and after filling our bellies with different options, we decided to wrap things up with ice cream. The shop is no more than a line in front of a case full of delicious ice cream options. It's not fancy, but the ice cream is. It was difficult to choose, but it's been a while since we were there and I am not completely sure what I ordered. I have a vaguely recall ordering Lemon Curd Ginger Snap. What I do remember was the ice cream was delicious. If you visit The Garage Food Hall, save room for ice cream. You will not be disappointed!

Located in the Garage food hall, Lick boasts a mix of classic and unique flavors - if sweet corn is in season, you'll find it as an ice cream offering here and it's amazing! They also keep a few vegan flavors available (that aren't sorbet!! Think cookie butter and smores). That said, the cookie sandwich has my heart - get a scoop of your choice of ice cream between two cookies. Grab napkins, it will almost certainly get messy

Stopped by Lick and was so glad I did! The shop has a fun, modern vibe with a super friendly staff. Tried the chai ice cream at Lick and it was incredible! Super creamy with just the right amount of spice--cozy and refreshing at the same time. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to whenever I'm in Indy!

Best ice cream of your life. Find them inside The Garage Food Hall and fall in love with the most creative, local ice cream flavors, made with organic dairy. Sometimes it can be scary to order the "different" flavor at an ice cream shop, but that is not the case here. Every flavor I've ever tried is a total win, so it's never a risk. The only risk is not ordering enough. Or not ordering the flight (three beautiful scoops in a stunning tray with waffle cone chips) so that you can try three flavors at once. Other reasons why you'll love them: The owner is so nice, the branding is beautiful, there's always one or two vegan flavors available, you can buy pints to-go, and they also have a shop in SoBro if you have a sweet tooth while up north. Here's the flavors we tried this week: + Blueberry Sweet Corn Cookie (seasonal) + Apple Almond Torte (seasonal) + Vegan Cookie Butter (rotating) They were all total wins and my favorite was the blueberry sweet corn cookie. There were chunks of shortbread cookie that I'll think about for forever. LOL. I'll never forget the first time I tried LICK many years ago when they were in the CCIC building. I ordered a scoop of my go-to mint chocolate chip and couldn't even believe how much better it was than anything I'd ever tried. It was light, with flaky chocolate, and the best, most real flavor. They use organic dairy and high quality ingredients, and you'll immediately notice how much better it is than anything you've had before. Lick away!

LICK is located in The Garage Food Hall in Indianapolis! It was a great place to wander around to looks at the various food and shopping options AND get some tasty ice cream. Although there is seating on the inside like a food court, my friend and I opted to eat outside at the table and chairs around the perimeter of the food hall. Once I spied with my little eye that they had butter pecan ice cream. It was a done deal! There was a line, however, the wait was short with the employees working in tandem.

Top notch Ice cream. Hands down the best in Indy, they have unique but awesome flavors. They are a local small business bonus. I've never ever had a bad flavor there. I love they don't use artificial coloring. It truly is divine. Can't wait to see the next season of flavors. They ppl. Who work there are super nice and polite too. The blueberry and corn summer flavor is still on my mind months later. The Cherry ice cream last week was the best in town..

I went to visit Lick inside the garage hall. The service provider was so kind. Allowed me to sample many flavors & was great at recommending flavors based on my scent profile. I decided on the lavender lemon & it was so good and refreshing. Such a cute booth with beautiful wall art on walls.

    Coffee Chip Ice Cream Cone

Since the first time I tried the Coffee Chip Ice Cream cone on March 21, 2025, I was in love! The strong balance of coffee flavour and rich chocolate chips combined with a cinnamony, crunchy, waffle cone! Each time I visited the garage I peeked my head into line to see the options(realising the first time that the flavors were not the same every time). The workers would always greet me and smile kindly when I decided not to get anything. Then finally, yesterday, May 30th, I was finally able to reunite with my beloved coffee chip cone! The taste was exactly as I remembered and even better, creamier, the cone was crunchier, everything was perfect! One day I'll try a different flavour but as of now, I'm staying completely loyal to my coffee chip cone ‍

Saw they got some unique flavors and we decided on a fruity one and another with alcohol. Both were tasty but not creamy. It's a small shop inside a food hall. Prices are higher since it's insiide the food hall. Staff was friendly and gave us samples before purchasing.

It's really hard to find made from scratch ice cream in this city with no fake ingredients so this place is a gem! It also happens to be a woman owned small business local to Indianapolis so win-win!

This is a great ice cream place in the Bottleworks Garage. They have some really unique flavors. The ice cream was perfect and the sever was quick and friendly. My only complain is that o wish there were more flavors. Check this place out for desert in the Bottleworks someday!

A bit high falutin for an ice cream joint, but definitely tasty. There are a lot of sweet treat options around the Garage and Mass Ave. And I don't think Lick would be my first stop. That said, their ice cream is great and the staff are very friendly. I especially appreciated their non-dairy options as I don't always handle dairy well and they seemed to do non-dairy better than most. Might be worth a visit.

I hadn't had Lick in years and I won't be making that mistake again! I knew I was going to be at the garage on Sunday and it was past my time to return to Lick. I was pleasantly surprised that the flavors were clearly marked as GF as being a newbie! I got one scoop of 5 spice pumpkin and one scoop of caramel. It was so creamy and delicious! They change their flavors regularly and I am not sure how to best know what they are scooping up. Their website and socials aren't up to date so just go in blind and you won't be disappointed. Pro tip: Keep an eye out for their 2nd location at 54th and the Monon! They are taking over the little blue hut that was Wyliepalooza. So excited to be in walking distance!

The inside is cute but there is no seating inside. You're going to get a little messy eating your cinnamon roll and want to be in the privacy of your own home anyway. My one very minor piece of feedback is I wish some rolls were sweet rolls (i.e. skip the cinnamon). Fruity Pebble is a little overpowered by cinnamon but I'd still get it. The Cherry Basque Cheesecake -- this pastry was the house favorite. The texture of this cheesecake was creamy, but somehow still spongey.. cakey, but more like pudding. Mix that with the juiciest sour cherries and the crunch of a biscoff crust.. mind blown was an understatement. We're looking forward to what Beurre Sec has planned for their next pop-up

Soup was OK, sandwiches were OK. I got a side of chips (not made in-house) for $3. My daughter was upset when we arrived bc she was napping in the car and she proceeded to cry for about the first 10 minutes so, I walked around with her to calm her before I sat down since it's so cramped to try not to disturb everyone else. She was not happy the entire time so we were trying to calm her and feed her. Cake slices and cheesecake are $17-20 each. They're large but other reviews say dry and taste old. That's pricey. We skipped dessert at those prices based on the quality of the rest of our meal... I got an $8 peppermint mocha which was good but, served in the smallest teacup imaginable. It's extremely small inside. Like, uncomfortable. Granted, I had a lot of items with my baby and her and we were seated at a table for two with her in my lap but it was close quarters and the waitresses were squeezing between the chairs to walk around. They have about 6 tables inside with a small event private room in back. Our waitress was kind but, the manager or owner was off-putting. She went to every single table seated except ours to ask how their meal was and experience and, when time to pay, she wanted to personally ring me up to ensure we left in a hurry. I get it, some places are not meant for babies, but, since it's billed specifically to kids, I thought this was. Nope, I was wrong. (She's 19 months - so, too young for this bougie of an establishment clearly) I would not come back at all unless it was for my, older daughter to have a birthday cake experience and get a couple cute pics. The Oreo one had a very strong cookies and cream flavor while the S'mores one had an impressive smoky taste to it that I've never had before in ice cream. Really, the attention to detail here is fantastic. My s'mores milkshake came with a literal s'mores treat on top of it. It wasn't just a from-the-box s'mores treat. It was actual graham cracker and marshmallow that they took into the back to use a torch on and give that extra-smokey, warm gooey feel to it. It did take awhile to get our milkshakes. One older woman was working her butt off but clearly getting frustrated at the mounting line and the fact that things kept falling. (Good to see: if something fell on the floor, she took it into the back to, presumably, toss it into the cleaning area) At one point, she asked for someone in the back to come help her, but that young teen seemed to be doing the bare minimum. I'm not sure if it's because they're untrained or not allowed to operate some of the machinery, but while this woman is frantically trying to keep up with things, he'd do what he was told to do, relatively slowly, and then stand around and wait for a new command. It was frustrating ME to watch. I can't imagine how that feels as a co-worker. All-in-all, we had about a 15-20 minute to receive our milkshakes. Definitely worth it in the end, but it's just something to note before popping in. I'd say it was definitely worth it for the unique flavor and quality when it was all done. The place looks a little "hole in the wall" with a few tables and chairs in an older building with the single, for-customers restroom in it. If you like the older, diner-esque style building that's been around for a long time, it has that vibe. Both of our milkshakes included a to-go lid right on them that we could snap on. Unlike some "crazy milkshake" establishments, the lids could actually go on both of the milkshakes after a few sips. The toppings were large but not insurmountable.

We entered and the smell of sweet confections filled the air. I left my husband at the counter to order and grabbed a table for us in the corner nearest to the garage door. We later discussed how, during the Summer, it will be so nice if/when they open that door up to the outside air. You order at the counter, and then they bring it out to your table. My husband returned with a big glass bottle of cold water (and some of the flimsiest plastic cups that I've ever held). The water was a nice, and necessary, touch. The dishes are rich! They are rich in the best way possible, though. The event provided a complimentary crepe with your choice of fruit, and a cookie skillet with ice cream. They provided us with an array of fruit to accompany it; bananas, strawberries, pineapples, and kiwi. The addition of the fruit really helped to cut through the richness of the chocolate. The crepe was the perfect, delicate vehicle for all of it! I probably ate about a 1/3 of it, and tried so save room for the cookie. I'm not a real "sweets" eater, but everything here just looks so good! The cookie skillet came out warm, gooey, and with its own generous drizzling of chocolate under a scoop of ice cream (& whipped cream if my memory serves me correctly). The cookie by itself was really delicious. In the future, I will omit the addition of chocolate sauce. It really didn't need it. I look forward to another fun dessert date with my hubby at this really SWEET lounge! P.S. All of the portion sizes that I saw were shareable. Bae and I could've shared either one of those desserts and been good. I also saw a woman sharing a sweet treat with her two children, and several other patrons were sharing. We all know that sharing means caring!
