Circles Ice Cream is the best ice cream in Indianapolis. Nothing compares. There's no physical store- they have freezers placed in several restaurants that you buy the ice cream room using a QR code. Each pint is $13 but it's well worth the price. I got 3 flavors: 1) tiramisu: AMAZING. I wish I was eating it right now. This tasted exactly like tiramisu. The subtle coffee flavor was perfect. The crumble throughout the pint made every bite taste like actual tiramisu cake. 2) peppermint bark: the PERFECT amount of peppermint flavor. It was so rich and soft. The crushed candy cane on top (and throughout the whole pint) made for a nice flavorful crunch. 3) Mexican wedding cake: what made this flavor perfect is that there was actual dulce de leche & cake crumbles in the pint. It was so sweet and every bite had enough of the toppings. Their flavors are so unique and they are always coming out with new ones. I definitely recommend anyone living in Indy to try it! read more

This local ice cream is so good! My husband became aware of this local ice cream on social media. They have some seasonal flavors that we really wanted to try. Once we looked at their website, we realized there were tons of flavors that looked delicious. One interesting thing is that they have standalone freezers in different businesses all over Indianapolis. You can go and scan and pay online, see these attached photos for one of the freezers at hotel tango in Zionsville. If you look at their website or social media, you can find out all the locations of the freezers. I am not sure if they have an actual location elsewhere. We have tried the seasonal carrot cake ice cream, which was the best ice cream I have literally ever had! It had tons of toppings and layers of cream cheese icing throughout the pint. We also tried banoffee pie, which was really good. I believe the cost was $13 per pint. I know it sounds a little expensive, but totally worth it and I love supporting a local business. read more

I'm addicted. I only get Circles icecream now. My favorite flavors so far are the Creamsicle Cheesecake, Coffee Milk. Pretzel Toffee. They've had a few coffee ones that ate great too, Coffee Cake Crumble and Tiramisu. They have a new setup at Wildwood Market where you can go in to the icecream case on the left of the store and scan a QR code to pay, pull out what you bought, and leave. Honestly I dream about this ice cream! Not gonna lie, I am a girl who tries to watch her calories but when it comes to Circles Ice Cream I don't even think twice! This ice cream is worth it!! I got to try Circles Ice Cream for the first time two years ago at the Yelp Christmas Bazzar, after that it was a done deal and I was hooked. I love the creative flavors Wes and his team comes up with and it's always exciting when they collaborate with other local Indy restaurant/food locations. You won't find this ice cream in a store, they deliver to you on Saturday. Pre-COVID he would sometimes set up shop at Hotel Tango or other locations around town and you could buy pints, and I'm sure that will come back one day. I'm not a chocolate lover so I have stayed away from those flavors, otherwise I would say everything is incredible! (I know chocolate lovers love those flavors as well, or so my family members who have become hooked have told me) Come Christmas time you NEED to get Gingerbread as it is one of my top 3 flavors. Next in that list is Mexican Wedding Cake, and then after that it is currently a toss up between Strawberry PB&J and Blueberry Muffin! However there are still many flavors I haven't tried. Circles has perfected a dense, layered ice cream that is both decadent and innovative. Every flavor is a winner, and the seasonal rotations are always augmented by new creations. One of the best things about Circles is the way you get it. Freezers can be found at local grocery stores, bodegas, even distilleries like Hotel Tango. You just scan a QR code, grab the pint you want, pay for it, and off you go. Circles used to be a delivery-only operation, and this method makes way more sense. Circles also does incredible dairy-free ice cream -- I usually don't even know it's dairy-free. If you haven't given it a try, the price point can sometimes scare people off, but it's absolutely worth every penny. read more

Wow!!! I found out about them on social media and that also helped me find where they are located. It's confusing because when you map them it brings you to a store only open on weekends. So follow them on Instagram and they will post a story or post about where they put a cooler full of amazing ice cream or where they restocked. I have gotten watermelon sugar high and cookie milk and they were delicious!!!! They have layers of extra toppings throughout and come in cute pints you can take home. Circles is my shizzzzzz! Ice cream and local businesses are two of my all time favorite things so I was immediately drawn to Circles. I first tried a few flavors at a Yelp event and was instantly impressed with the quality of the mix-ins. They were just as flavorful and well-made as the ice cream itself and added the right textures to make each spoonful more addicting than the last. The collabs with other local businesses like Hotel Tango, Tinker Coffee Co., and New Fangled Confections make this the ice cream of choice for Indy lovers. I've tried several flavors by now and am always blown away. The creativity and quality demonstrated by the makers behind Circles exceeds that of Ben and Jerry's... I'm not kidding, it's that good. The packaging of the pints and the social media presence is also super trendy and eye-catching. I only wish it was easier to get your hands on a pint since it's not sold in stores (yet?). They do offer delivery on many Saturdays, but I haven't tried that yet. They occasionally have pick up days at Wildwood Market and at events like the Yelp Bazaar and other makers' markets. The little pockets of honey in the cornbread and honey really got me and I can't get enough of them! As of this writing, they are currently offered for sale at Wildwood Market in Fountain Square but they are delivering on certain days of the week and looking/hoping to expand into other markets around the Circle City soon. That being said, if you get a chance to meet the owner, Wes, say hey and get to know more about his passion for his products. It'll make you fall in love with the ice cream even more. Everyone has their own flavor profile, but my favorites have been the Coffee Cake Crumble, White Chocolate Pretzel, the Peaches and Biscuits, and the Carrot Cake. Honestly, they're all amazing. Even if one doesn't sound like something you'd like, give it a shot cause you'll probably enjoy it. Oh, don't forget the peanut butter and dark chocolate: deliciously salty, creamy, and rich all at the same time. Other reasons to love Circles: - minimal Ingredients so you know absolutely what everything is that's going into the products; - Wes's passion for ice cream shines through; - the creative flavors; - the branding (can I get one of those sweat/t-shirts please?!) - everything that goes into the ice creams are homemade (aside from when there's a partnership, ie Tinker Coffee) - they're all insanely delicious. Some of the best ice cream I've ever had! They had a pop up at Metazoa Brewing Company, and I got to try their Cookie Milk and Bourbon Apple Pie flavors. Highly recommend both! Ice cream delivery. Something I only dreamed of, has finally become a wonderful reality. I have been following Circles on Instagram for months, drooling over the flavors and ice cream magic they've been creating. I finally decided to take the plunge and order this bespoke delicacy. I ordered the Cookie Monster and s'mores for home delivery. I was counting the days, minutes, and hours until the confections were at my door. I got a text a few moments before delivery and paid via card when Wes arrived. I swear he appeared from thin air, I saw no vehicle, and his cooler was empty but for my two pints. Not even an ice pack, and still they were frozen solid. I don't know how they do it, but they make amazing ice cream. Their Instagram doesn't convey the creamy deliciousness properly- and the photos are great! Both pints were gone by Tuesday, and my husband and I barely shared with our sweets obsessed 3 year old. Though, when the Cookie Monster was all gone he did sit on the kitchen floor and cry. I wanted to do the same, but was able to restrain myself. I believe we will order these treats again very soon, worth the price! read more

There is a lot of good ice cream in this city - heck, even the cheap stuff is good-ish; so for ice cream to be great, it has to be really special. I was introduced to Wes and Circles at a Yelp Elite event, but loved it so much I followed up and placed an order of my own. Circle is a small, handmade batch ice cream company, so while they don't have a storefront, they deliver most places in Indy once a week! Who doesn't want delivered ice cream? Bye bye, diet! Saw the interview with the local owner on TV and LOVE supporting local businesses. So, I placed an order that same day. Their menu has very unique & creative flavor pairings. Their cream has a very smooth, consistent taste. However, the add-ins fall short. I was so excited to try their Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jam ice cream. What I got was a pint of great ice cream and a layer of peanut butter and strawberry jam on top. So, once I ate past the "add-in cap" I had a pint of vanilla ice cream. Had they swirled the add-ins in the ice cream it would have been a much different experience. This seems like a small thing to bring up but at $12 a pint there's a level of expectation that surpasses good vanilla ice cream. read more

My wife and I had Circles for the first time last night, and oh my goodness, it is amazing!!! We elected to get the Penguin, and honestly it was some of the best ice cream we've ever had. It featured black chocolate ice cream, white chocolate ganache, and salted chocolate cookie dust. Each part complimented each other perfectly, especially the salted chocolate cookie dust. $12 a pint should yield such positive eats, and in this case it certainly did. I can't recommend Circles highly enough. I am not being hyperbolic when I say this is the best ice cream in the Circle City. What I love most, is how they balance the sweet flavors with a touch of salt. The crumbles are perfectly proportioned in each pint, so just when you are bummed that you've eaten them all...you reach a new layer and there are more. The unique, yet familiar flavors are another draw. I hope they are able to open a storefront in the near future because this ice cream is phenomenal. Ok. This ice cream is legit delicious. Just picked some up at the Yelp Bazaar yesterday. My husband and I tried a couple samples at the Bazaar and we couldn't wait to take our pints home to have more! The flavors we chose were the Peppermint Bark and the Bourbon Apple Pie. Sweet baby Jesus this is some good ice cream. I love Peppermint ice cream during the holidays and their Peppermint Bark is the BEST I've had! It's really cool you can have it delivered! With the holidays coming up, I definitely want to get the Peppermint again for family to try. The one downside is that it's pretty expensive. I'm a little bougie when it comes to food and I don't mind spending money on something delicious, but I think $12/pint is a little pricey for ice cream. But I guess if they deliver it, that's not a bad price. I forgot to ask if they have a delivery fee or how that process works. I checked out their website and couldn't find any info on it. This ice cream is amazing! The first time I had it was an event with hotel tango. It was a 4 birds bakery cookie (best cookies on town) topped with their coffee cake crumble ice cream. It was too die for and I knew I'd have to get my hands on this stuff again. We just went to one of their pop-up shops at the Hot Room yoga downtown and were able to sample the 3 flavors they had tonight- coffee cake crumble, lemon meringue pie and cookie milk. All of them were so tasty but we went with a pint of the cookie milk. I am blown away by the amount of cookie crumbles through the whole pint. The top of it was covered with a layer of crunch, salty cookie crumbles but there were also huge pockets of the delicious crunchiness throughout the whole thing so no bite was lacking the delicious flavor.
