I was told they weren't able to do the cancelation on their end and to contact my bank. I returned the next morning, spoke with the manager, and was assured she'd "try everything" to stop the order -- yet no cancellation was processed, and the glasses were still made. I was never notified they were ready and later found out the store misrepresented the situation to my bank stating I never expressed any concerns to them. When I returned a month later I raised my concerns again, I was told they'd just tell the bank I "refused" the glasses. Truly the worst experience I've ever had at an optical. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

She went over somethings and told me to try them out for an week to see how they felt. So now I needed another pair. After the eye exam the owner provided info on the eyes , what the numbers meant from the exam and other info which was informative. He held up my old pair and said that they were progressive. Tomorrow will make an week and I think the prescription is too strong. My eye sight without them seems blurry and tried. I am absolutely disgusted by the way I was treated at Raymond Opticians in New Rochelle,…read moreparticularly by an employee named Jessica. Jessica is completely unprofessional, rude and arrogant. My problems with Jessica started back in December when I went to pick up my glasses. She came out appearing visibly frazzled, rushed and upset. While handling my glasses in that state and handing them to me, she BROKE them. She then gave me another pair and basically said, "Here, just take these." About a month later, I returned and asked a very reasonable question: What happened to the original glasses that were broken? Instead of simply explaining what happened, Jessica immediately became extremely defensive. Since that incident, I have noticed a complete change in the way she treats me whenever I need assistance. She has been rude, dismissive and unprofessional. Today was the final straw. I requested my contact lens prescription because I wanted to purchase my contacts through Costco. The prescription that was sent to me was incomplete and was missing necessary information, including the diameter and other information needed to fill it. I called the office, explained that information was missing and was told they would send the corrected prescription right away. They didn't. After waiting approximately 30 minutes, I called back because I still had not received it. While I was simply trying to get this resolved, my calls kept getting disconnected. Eventually Jessica got on the phone. Instead of professionally asking how she could help me, she began speaking to me in what I perceived as an extremely sarcastic and mocking manner. She said things like, "What's the matter, Larissa? Are you upset? What's going on?" and told me I was yelling. The way she was speaking to me felt like she was mocking me and making fun of the fact that I was frustrated. I explained that I was in a loud environment and was not intentionally yelling. Rather than simply resolving the issue, she continued with the attitude and then said to me, "DO YOU WANT YOUR PRESCRIPTION OR NOT?" She then HUNG UP ON ME. I could not believe that an employee would speak to a customer that way over something as simple as requesting a complete copy of a prescription. I have also since heard from others that Jessica has a reputation for being rude to customers. I cannot personally speak to anyone else's experience, but based on the way she has repeatedly treated me, hearing that certainly did not surprise me. I genuinely do not understand how an employee can treat customers in such a rude, sarcastic, mocking and dismissive manner and continue to represent a business. This wasn't one bad interaction. My issues with her began when my glasses were broken in December, continued when she became defensive after I asked what happened to them, and culminated today with her mocking me, asking, "Do you want your prescription or not?" and HANGING UP ON ME. Completely unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. I have contacted Raymond Opticians management directly because I believe they need to know how customers are being treated at their New Rochelle location. I absolutely cannot recommend this location.

We all discussed my frames at length, particularly a distinctive color on the inside of the frame. I ended up ordering the eyeglasses from that brand anyway because I did like the frames. The assistant manager said it would take 2 weeks to get them in and that they would call me. I went in today after receiving the call a few days ago that the glasses were in. I saw the frames and tried them on and immediately noticed that they were different than the ones I ordered, namely the distinctive color was absent. The assistant manager insisted they are the correct frame as she "wrote it down" and could not recall any frame matching my description. I insisted and suggested calling Garth to ask. I said in the meanwhile, I would like a refund since I have over $350 sitting with you and now we don't even know which frame it is that I wanted. She told me she cannot issue a refund for several reasons and that they would "figure it out." I insisted again and she went to the back office to call someone who confirmed to her that there are in fact frames matching my description and the frames they were giving me were wrong. I again insisted on a refund while I wait to see the correct frames before placing another order. She refused again and went to the back office. A few minutes later, she returned stating that she will give me the refund but that the store "cannot service me again." After a mistake by a store employee, a refusal to make me whole after confirming it was their error, and an eventual reluctant refund, the assistant manager thought it was appropriate to refuse me future service! Completely unprofessional attitude and sloppy service.
