I have been a patient of Dr. Sabesan for over 15 years without issue.
Now that Dr. Guerrero took over, I find that the doctor doesn't make the time for me that I have needed.
It is unusual because I never had a problem that I had to return to the store in the past. For the past few years, I went to see Dr. Guerrero twice, and both times I had problems. I will not be returning.
The first time I picked up new glasses, I was unable to see through them. Everything was distorted. The doctor was too busy to come and help me, and the technician told me that she saw my prescription was correct (and basically didn't want to do anything about it). I couldn't leave - I couldn't see! Guess what, I need glasses to see. SO finally, I convinced the technician to help me and all that needed to be done was my glasses needed to be bent differently.
Second time I came back because I like the selection of glasses, and I wanted to stay loyal to a local business. Well, the screw keeps popping out of my new glasses. I was in the neighborhood and walked in to ask them if they have anything that could fix the screw. Dr. Guerrero told me he was with a patient, but I could leave my glasses and he would get to them later in the day. I thought that was a joke, so I said if I did that, I wouldn't be able to see. I asked if he was able to just tighten the screw for me so I don't break them myself. He said no, he was with a patient.
I walked out. I will buy a screw kit at the supermarket.
I was planning to buy a spare pair of glasses, but now I will spend my money elsewhere. I know the patient he was with deserves priority, but it would have taken NO time to tighten a screw and keep a LOYAL and repeat customer.
I don't plan to go back. Unfortunate, because their selection is fantastic. But I am not confident that once they have my money they will be willing to help me in a pinch. My glasses cost $300, which is not a small amount of money - not including the lenses and exam. The doctor didn't seem to care that $300 glasses shouldn't have a popped out screw, and didn't feel I deserved 3 minutes of his time.
ALSO - they have an online scheduling system, which I tried to use. I put in a request for an appointment. several days went by and I hadn't heard back, so I called and made my appointment directly over the phone. I went in, saw the doctor (who was on vacation, and luckily was seen by Dr. Sabesan that day - but he wasn't in when my glasses were ready). The next day, I got a call from the admin asking me if I wanted my appointment, and I told her that I already had my visit, paid in full, and am now waiting for a callback to see if my new glasses were ready. You would think I was speaking to the woman in a foreign language, she had no idea what I was telling her. So, I am not even confident that this desk person is able to keep my information organized if she doesn't understand what happened. read more
