Overall my experience was positive. For a small store, there are a lot of employees. The space isn't the most updated but it's still a nice store. This is probably my 2nd or 3rd time here. Last I came was 5 years ago. I started to go to Cohen (which I regret). I called yesterday and was told walk-ins at 10 am. I got there this am around 10:05 and was shocked to see so many people. Many were coming to just pick up, others for eye exams. They quickly took names, in order. I waited nearly 2 hours. Not complaining, because I knew i didn't have an appointment. They do take your temperature as you come in and give you hand sanitizer. The staff was professional, plus sanitized everything. I don't remember the name of the lady, who helped me to pick out my frames. But she was so sweet. I will not be visiting Cohen. again. I will continue to come here for my glasses/eye exam. read more

I've been coming to this eye center for years. To be exact around 10 years. They are super friendly and helpful when you have any optical questions. They have a pretty good selection of glasses and are not super expensive. I believe they accept most insurance policies which is also great. I recommend to visit this location if you live in the area and are in need of a new eye doctor. read more

This establishment is by far the friendliest and warmest staff you'll meet at any optical store. They are very accommodating, fair and honest. The manager is bi lingual and Steve the optician is very knowledgeable and always willing to answer any technical questions you have with a smile. Dr Bae's treatment to his staff is a testament of his happy employees and atmosphere at this office. They carry a wide range of designer eyewear including MCM, Nike, Dragon & Lacoste. I was in and out in exactly 40 minutes as a first time walk-in patient who needed to order new glasses. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism here. Every employee was friendly and patient which was vital because I was practically blind (-6.00) after losing my other glasses. They have enough hands on deck to get things done efficiently. The eye doctor even provided me a referral because she found something concerning in my retinas. They have high-tech equipment. She also provided me with my prescription so I can buy glasses elsewhere when I want to. Some shadier places try to fight you by saying you're not entitled to your prescription so that you only spend money onsite. Not here! She wrote it out quickly and happily. Will be bringing my daughter here for a check up before she starts kindergarten. I've been wearing glasses for 20 years and I've never had such a pleasant experience all around. Hopefully, my glasses don't take too long to get here. I'll update my review with that info. read more

Approved on credit, and then felt forced to finance a pair of glasses when I did not want to. I Instead picked a pair of free glasses for my insurance and Then was told to wait a week for my free glasses to get picked up. 2 weeks later my free glasses were misplaced and was overly spoken about financing the new glasses again! Came here by appointment. I highly recommend setting up an appointment via phone and coming on time! Or much better earlier esp if you're a new patient, the reason why is when I came here for an appointment the place was PACKED! I was scared to wait and the customer service lady told me they are all walk in. That was a relief. My checkup started at the exact time of my appointment, Joy was the one that helped me, very helpful and friendly! I can say that the equipment they have here is Top Notch! I've been to different eye centers and this place has the most up to date equipment. After the first round of checkup I was greeted by Dr. Karen Kosowsky, she was amazing at what she does, she really took her time and answered all of my questions! She asked me I'm from Cherry Hill but why am I in Bronx ? Well, after great suggestions from friends and I'm in NY for 3 days why not give it a shot since I'm already due for checkup. After my checkup Joy guided me in the frame selection, then another lady (I wish I can remember her name) showed me how my insurance will work and how much I will be paying. I was surprised at the frame selection how much high-end frames they have, I got tempted and got two frames :) One for daily use and one for driving (Tinted Lens) I like that they make lenses onsite and how they offer to make the lenses instead of sending it to your insurance. One of my frames took a while but it was not a problem I was given the warning that it will actually come from Italy. Will come back again!! read more

The wait time here is absolutely ridiculous! They have you come in at your appointment time and you won't be seen until an hour or so after you arrive. Their glasses are overpriced their eye exams are overpriced and there's nowhere to sit ! they're overbooked and you will extremely inconvenienced and you're going to be standing! DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS you love getting ripped off. After ten years of being customers, my sister and I left this establishment due to dishonest practices. The doctors are lovely the receptionists just want to take all of your money. They approved my sister for a credit of $900 for glasses that were $500 then proceeded to slap on an additional $400 worth of "optional but vital" attachments. When my sister got home and told me what happen, I realized that she has been hustled and called, asking for a refund THAT very day. The store has a no refund policy; however, since I've been a loyal/longtime customer, I felt they would at the very least they would take an exception. They did not. Fine, I asked for store credit instead. They do offer that. They refused stating that they only give store credit if the glasses were found to be "faulty". I asked to speak to the store manager....of course the manger was out that day. I called again the next day and now the manager is on vacation. I called the next week the manager was still out. We were so disgusted with the way these money-hungry women dealt with us that we decided to go elsewhere. Turns out her frames were $150.00 on amazon :/. I used to go to lenscrafters but they do not take my new insurance. Since Kingsbridge Eye Center is a couple of blocks from my house I decided to go there. They do not take appointments, I guess they are trying to take as many walkins as possible. When I finally saw the doctor for a contact lens fitting she rushed through the process very quickly. I got two different lenses to try out and was told to come back for a final fitting. When I came back today to get my prescription they let me wait for an hour . I did not even get to see the doctor again for a final fitting. At professional places the doctor makes sure that you are comfortable with the lenses and they take a second look after you try them out. I am very disappointed with that place. Do not go there and do not order any supplies from them. They were gonna charge me $200 for lenses but I will order them for $50 online. I guess they did not like that. Apparently the receptionist works on commission because she got a nasty attitude after I told her I will order elsewhere. Very rude! read more

Been coming here on and off for the past 10 years. The staff and Steve are GREAT! Friendly and attentive. Pricing is a rip off! Was quoted a price for Calvin Klein glasses with lens at $550 and another $160 for a 6 month supply of contact lenses. I went online, purchased the same Calvin Klein frame with lenses for $297 and same supply and brand of lenses for $87. That's a total of $384.00, that's $166 less than they were selling me the Calvin Klein glasses. By the way the optical wanted $259 for the Calvin Klein frame itself, I purchased the same exact frame online for $87. What do you think? read more

Carmen I know exactly what you're saying in regards to your sister being hustle. I almost had a similar experience with them a while back. But thanks to the Lord when they were offering me this line of credit and their suggestions for a more improve lens and frame I declined. It just did not make any sense to me; especially when the optometrist stated I still have 20/20 vision but I needed glasses (which she did not stated "reading glasses"). read more
