We used Infinity moving for our recent move from our apartment to a new home. MARK and MARTIN arrived 15 mins before the scheduled time to go over the items we needed to move. Ours was a smallish move per the guys. They were able to knock out the pick up in about 40 mins 20 mins for the drive and another 30 for the drop off. THESE GUYS WERE FAST. I did feel the handling was a little rough but I did not have too many fragile items so all-in-all it went well. These guys are awesome! First, when you call to schedule a move, you're most likely to get the owner and one of his employees. NO ILLEGAL, NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING IMMIGRANTS!!! I scheduled them to move me recently. They called in advance to let us know they were on their way, and showed up right on time! They were incredibly polite, and got right to work getting things loaded on the trailer. The two guys at my house (can't remember their names) got things done really, REALLY quick. When we moved the furniture to my new house, they navigated the ridiculously steep driveway and staircase leading to our front door. There was one issue w/ a piece of furniture, which required them traverse a 5' drop over a rock wall, down a slope, then down a 15' loose rock embankment, through a gate, up a twisting set of stairs, and into some double doors. Not a single negative comment, complaint or protestation from either guy. They jumped on it w/o me having to beg or cajole. What impressed me most was the extra care they both took to make sure none of the furniture was damaged. They managed to carry that heavy piece of mission impossible furniture through all of those obstacles w/o it literally touching ANYTHING. If I could give 6-stars, I would. Just a quick review for homeowners with larger homes- I called Infinity today to inquire about getting a quote for our move in July and was surprised by the response I got from them. The person I spoke with wasn't rude but, rather, was indifferent. When I asked for a site inspection for a quote her response was "we don't have anyone who does that". Her solution was that I go online, fill out a form, and list everything I needed moving and that they would then get back to me with a quote. Well, I don't have the time to do that and for a move of this size I would expect someone to come out and bid on the business. When I mentioned that this was odd and I would have to look at a different company the employee said "yes, sounds like you need someone else". It seems like Infinity is better suited to apartment moves or small home moves where they can quote an open hourly rate on a one-crew move- their reviews are certainly positive in those instances. If, however, you have a larger home I would not waste the time in calling them as, by their own admission, they do not really service that segment of the market. Again, they were not rude but they certainly weren't interested either. Trying to support local businesses in Austin isn't always easy! read more

Rather than just say on the website they would not move my small piano, I wasted time at work filling out an itemized quote request. I received an email response saying they could not move my piano for "liability" reasons. Nevermind my piano is not very valuable, dollarwise, to begin with. Nothing worse than movers who pick and choose over items. To make matters worse, I never received a quote for the other items. They obviously do not want my business, and that is just as well. read more

I wanted to update my previous post regarding my October 2014 move with this company. After the owners saw my Yelp review, they contacted me promptly and offered to repair the items that were damaged due to poor packing/moving. Ben, one of the owners, came to our home several times to pick up items that needed to be repaired and then delivered them. He also removed by hand all of the residue left on our appliances from the packing tape. All of our damaged frames were repaired as well as other items that were broken in the move (2 lamps). All in all, the service we experienced after the move to restore and repair our items was certainly above and beyond the contracted rate as well as our expectations. I literally made a Yelp page just to review Infinity Moving company. I moved from one centrally located apartment to another centrally located apartment, as did my sister (we were roommates, now no more). The two guys (brothers, as this is a family company) moved all of our stuff in under 2 hours. They have a flat gas rate for the entire time. So, our total was less than $190 if I remember correctly. They got a huge tip, though, for their friendliness, their efficiency, and hard work. I would definitely use them again. read more

I submitted my information for a quote and received a response in a timely fashion. I responded to the quote by saying the proposed time and date would work well for my move. The following morning, Rachel confirmed that date and time were still available. When I wrote back that same morning saying that I'd like to reserve that time slot, I was told the slot was no longer available and that the next available time was more than three weeks later. Plenty of people have had good experiences with this company, clearly, but I did not. I find the fact that my time slot was given away with no opportunity for me to do anything about it extremely unprofessional. The argument is that between the time Rachel told me the reservation slot I wanted was still available and the hour or so I responded to try to reserve that slot, calls came in and someone else was able to confirm -- sort of the "You snooze, you lose" argument. If that's the kind of business Infinity wants to be, that's fine, but the people on Yelp have the right to know that this is how Infinity goes about its business. Even though we had engaged one another several times and they knew I wanted this time slot, because someone else called in to reserve that time before I had a chance to send my last correspondence, the time slot they knew I wanted was given away. So this was Babby's First Move with professional movers and I was antsy because I hate people touching my stuff. The only reason I hired movers was because we were moving onto the third floor and, let's face it, I'm not 21 anymore. Rachel was great to work with. When I had an itemized inventory, she sent me a good quote fast. When I decided we had too much stuff for that, she let me switch to hourly with no hassle. Mark and Chris, man, I can't even say enough about those guys. We were getting nervous because it was a few minutes til when they called to say they were on their way and they'd be there right at 9. I'm like "No way, these guys are toast. They hit a red light or get behind a slow driver or anything, it's game over for them. Not right at 9. IMPOSSIBLE." Rolled up promptly at 9. When he said it was only going to take 2 hours, I thought "Oh, 2 hours to load the truck isn't bad." No, no, no, my friends. 2 hours total was his best guess. Again, IMPOSSIBLE. They got everything out, we rolled down to the new digs--they beat two small cars there in a big truck towing a trailer--and they got everything up to the third floor and, oh yeah, it only took an hour and forty five minutes for everything. He came in under his estimate. I was like "daaaaaamn". Totally impressive to watch those guys work and yeah I'm never moving myself again. read more

Great movers! My organization (the Coalition of Texans with Disabilities) hired Infinity to move us to a new location a few blocks away. In two trips, they moved office furniture for 11 people (with a LOT of boxes of files) from our 4th floor office building space to our new two-story, stairs only building. Everyone was very friendly and pleasant to interact with, and the movers were upfront about what was going to work (yeah, we can get that couch in the elevator) and what wasn't (there's no way that desk is making it up those stairs. We tried. There are witnesses.) Extra points for keeping it together when things took a turn: during the first trip, their trailer blew a tire, and we thought we were screwed. But between the moving crew and the management, they handled it, kept us updated of our options, and got the job done that evening (a little later than we had originally planned, but given the circumstances, we were impressed!) Would definitely hire Infinity Movers again and recommend them! read more

I received a recommendation for Infinity Movers from a coworker, who was really happy with their services. Setting up my moving day appointment was quick and easy--I filled out the online form and Rachel called very soon after to finalize the details. On moving day, Ben called about 10 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive to let me know they were on their way and would be there at 9:00. Ben and his partner (I can't remember his name--sorry!) were friendly, efficient, and very careful with our belongings. I have several antique and family pieces and I didn't feel worried at all that something was going to be damaged. They unhooked our washer and dryer as well, since we didn't have the tools to do that. Once we arrived at the new place, they carefully unloaded everything and put the items exactly where we wanted them. They even moved a few things from our garage into the upstairs bedroom. On moving day, I actually appreciate it when a crew is a little bit late- I'm never ready. Ben and Elijah contacted me many times during the day before arriving 3 hours late. I would have been annoyed, but because they were SO GOOD at communicating with me, it was fine... it just meant I could have a relaxing lunch after racing around packing for a couple of days. I'm new in town so of course, I turned to the internet for my research on the most economical and ethical movers here in Austin. I ended up researching 24 companies. My strategies were based on their Yelp review having 3.5 stars or more stars (with no more than 3- 1 star reviews), City Search reviews having 3.5 stars or more (with no more than 3- 1 start reviews) and whether they are accredited by the Better Business Bureau which they had to have at least an "A". As I used the process of elimination, I looked at other people's reviews as to why that person gave that company a low score. Some of these companies really showed a trend as to sweet talking you during the quoting process but then end up somehow raising the price in the end or not keeping their time of appointment. Finally, I chose Infinity Moving. Not only were they so ridiculously easy to deal with, Rachel in the office was so nice as well! And her husband Ben and his brother Isaiah, were the nicest gentlemen I have ever met thus far, here in Texas. Both Rachel and Ben were even helping me try to save money! Now who finds that in a mover!!! If you read my other postings, I am very critical of companies as I work in a hospital where there are no excuses for poor service! Excellent customer service. I contacted Rachel at Infinity Moving and booked them to move us out of our 2/2 condo to a 4/3 house on the south side of town. I looked into more than half a dozen moving companies, and they had the best pricing and highest reviews. On the day of the move, two guys arrived on time and moved very quickly. They were extremely pleasant to boot. We had a minor accident when the movers dropped a detachable piece of the breakfast table on the ground, denting the corner. The accident was really our fault, mainly because the detachable part is seamless and undetectable to the naked eye. We should have told them that the piece comes off. However, the day of the move, the owner contacted us and they were super quick to get it repaired at no cost. 5 stars!!! read more

Sometimes it pays to be a procrastinator. My husband and I wait til the last minute for everything and it usually bites is in the butt. We waited 4 days before we had to move to reserve a moving company. This time my delinquency worked to my advantage. I called 3 other moving places who were short and said they had no availability. When I called infinity, Rachel was sweet and helpful and the prices were the most reasonable I had heard. But the best experience was the actual move. Chris and Mark were punctual, professional, and quick. We had to move our furniture to a storage unit. Cut and dry. Small office move. Requested a quote, got a call right away with pricing and answered questions/concerns. As promised, got appt reminder/confirmation of next day 2 hr arrival window. Day-of got a call they were on their way - about 45 minutes earlier than the start time. Better than late I guess, but felt rushed, they got straight to checking items against the paperwork. One guy was especially...not customer oriented: I mentioned whoever I talked to on the phone said they would have plastic wrap, before I finished he laughed me off with "Ha! Nope. No. None of that. Used it all on our last move." Huh, okay. Total whirlwind loading everything up, so much so, they grabbed a bag I'd intended to put in my car so they had to stop and unlock the trailer before we all left because it had my phone and keys in it. We get to the other place, quickly unload - the 'nicer' of the two asked where to put things. Ran my card, tipped in cash (because they were very fast, it was hot, I was happy to be done and not tipping is messed up). But we unpacked and a small mirror, then one lamp was broken, a wire shelf got seriously bent, a cracked plastic bin lid - none expensive, but it seemed careless in more ways than one - having paid professionals, and the cash, and not the best people skills...led us to follow up. Email response was all business, offered to fix the shelf, asked for estimated values, issued refund. Kinda quick and dirty. If you're all about 'git er done' this is that. read more

These guys were INCREDIBLE. It was my first experience hiring movers, and I had a devil of a time getting anyone to give me an hourly rate. I ended up going with Infinity because they were the first ones to do so. We wanted an hourly rate because we wanted to be in control of the time while still getting our stuff moved, and we figured we would just let them do their thing for a couple hours, get all the furniture, and then whatever was leftover we didn't mind getting ourselves. Every itemized rate I was given was about twice as much as I was able to spend. The hourly rate we were given was perfect for our needs. The day of the move, they were supposed to show up at 2, but called around 11 AM to say their previous move had gone really quickly and asked if we would be ready now. I had planned for this, so I told them that was fine, but I don't think they would have minded if I'd said no, come at 2. My husband and I had been trying to decide how long we thought it would take to move everything, and whether we wanted to spend more if they went over two hours, or just stop them after the furniture. As it turns out, I needn't have worried, because these guys were incredibly fast. They packed up the old place into their truck, hauled it off to the new place, and unloaded it in UNDER two hours. It made me really wonder why all those itemized rates were so high if they could move that much stuff that quickly! Nothing got broken, and they were friendly and fast. Pretty much all I was hoping for was to get the furniture and maybe some of the heavier boxes, but they were so fast we actually started bringing out more stuff that we had set aside to move ourselves. The only reason I give four stars instead of five is because they left two things that we had asked them to grab because they wouldn't fit in our car. In their defense, they had gotten pushed off into an area we had told them not to worry about, but they left the old place kind of abruptly so we couldn't remind them to grab the extra stuff. We actually hadn't figured out that they had left until we saw the truck with all our stuff missing from the parking lot, and we had to race to catch up with them. A quick "Well, are we ready to go?" would have been REALLY helpful. Other than that, though, a fantastic job all around. I gave them a good tip (I think, anyway. We used Infinity Movers for moving from our 3rd floor apartment to a house less than 4 miles away. Contacting Infinity was easy via email. I exchanged several emails with Rachel and Ben on the details and although there was some initial confusion on the hourly rate, we eventually settled on a flat item-wise rate. I choose Infinity based on Yelp after getting quotes from nearly 4-5 movers in the area. Having a flat rate gives me assurance that the movers will not move slowly but I did not feel that was an issue with these movers (or maybe the flat rate made them move faster?). I was charged an extra $150 for the third floor and was quoted a higher price per hour ($135) because of the third flood. I found this charge redundant hence opted for a flat-rate. In addition there was a $50 gas charge which I observed was for all movers I got quotes from. Movers Mark, Chris, and other guy whose name I forget arrived promptly at 9. We took a quick inventory of the items. Mark confirmed and revised the flat rate a tad upward (due to more boxes) and started their work. They moved rapidly and emptied the apartment and stuff from the parking garage downstairs in just over two hours. Mark disassembled and reassembled our beds and desk without any fuss. He gave sound advice on not reconnecting the dryer since the vent was damaged and the electric prong was the wrong kind (I made the changes and hooked the dryer later myself, no biggie!). They moved the fridge quicker than my previous movers had. These movers definitely looked like they have been doing this for a while now so were more efficient. The total move took just over 4 hours and the flat-rate price came out almost exactly to how much it be had it been an hourly rate. I want to stay in my house long enough to not use them anytime soon but I would definitely recommend Infinity for you :) read more

These guys were great. Lowest bid out of all the companies that I checked with, and they offer an hourly rate which saved us a ton of money. Mark and Martin came at the time we requested, and moved the entire contents of our house quickly and efficiently. We moved from a two-story duplex (with a spiral staircase mind you) to a house, and they STILL got the job done quicker than the estimated time. They also revealed that they get paid the SAME AMOUNT no matter if the rate is hourly or itemized, so any of the other reviews that say the movers take their time to get more money are absolutely bogus. Highly recommended. I hate moving, but these guys made it a little more bearable. Will definitely use again! read more

I received quotes from 5 different movers and this one was half the price of the most expensive. They communicate very quickly through email and don't mind changing your inventory and quote as many times as you need. My movers were a little late but called well in advance to let me know, they weren't even as late as they thought they were going to be. They worked very fast to load and even took a few extra items which was very courteous. They arrived at the location extremely fast and even offered to help me arrange the apartment. I only had one complaint, but it was addressed by the owner immediately so there is no reason to write about the details. I contacted Infinity after seeing the positive reviews as I needed someone quickly to pick up a nice office suite I had found on Craigslist. Everything went smoothly. Arranging the appointment by phone was quick and easy. I had an email to verify the appointment within minutes after the call and the day of the move, 30 minutes before, I was contacted by the crew. They arrived on time and were quick and professional. They checked out the furniture and the room to plan how to complete the move and upon arrival to my home, did the same. I have used Infinity Moving twice in the past year. A local South Austin to North Austin move in 2009 and then in 2010 I had them move me from Austin to Frisco, TX. They were courteous, dependable and thorough. Rachel helped me inventory my items so I knew exactly what I would be spending and was very easy to talk to. Have used Infinity twice and both experiences were good ones and very helpful instead of being a headache. They called ahead of time and made sure I knew the pricing. They also were careful with my things and didn't damage anything and were quick. I chatted with both guys during the job and they both separately mentioned having over 10+ years experience with moving. I really value when a business sticks to what they say they're going to do and provide great service while maintaining affordable prices. I appreciate that a lot. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I have experienced a moving company in another state that wrapped everything way above and beyond before taking it out of the house to prevent even the chance of scratches on anything in transit which I think would get 5 stars. In this move, they moved things out and then wrapped them in the truck, which is fine and I didn't notice any damage in this instance, but that leaves the potential of accidents happening while moving them out. As you can imagine, with the other company, seeing things wrapped before was very reassuring especially when you're overwhelmed with all of your belongings being moved, but I'm open to different techniques if they get the job done right. I also really like the flexibility of the pricing being based off time so that if there's something you need help with they can help within the time you pay for or add on a bit more if you need it and it's not a big surprise later if your initial estimations of the job were a bit off.
