If I was simply rating the Cesar Salad. I would rate it a 4 or 5. I admit it I'm a pretty simple eater. Usually I can always find something to eat. I ordered a pizza and asked if they had pepperoni. Simple request I thought. She said they had a salami they made there. I agree to it. I asked why they didn't offer the most popular topping (Pepperoni) ever. She said they want to showcase items they make there. I get it. I do, but pizza toppings they offer are really unusual. I suggest some more common toppings as an addition. read more

WOW big shoutout to the guy at Carhartt winery who suggested this place for dinner. I would have never stopped in Buellton on the way back home to SB, but was SO glad I did! Service & atmosphere: The space has communal seating, counter ordering, and a relaxed, cozy and casual vibe. Service was friendly, informative, and quick. In having difficulty deciding which delicious thing to get, the cashier did not steer us wrong! Food: We ordered an uni, avocado, and oyster bite, white shrimp and toast, and beef tongue pastrami reuben. The bite was surprisingly creamy since the oyster was not very salty and the uni and avocado were perfect. The pastrami was soooo delicious, cooked like a grilled cheese and so full of meat- it was comforting, packed with flavor, and super filling. The white shrimp on toast was perfect- huge shrimp, big pieces of pancetta, and unbelievably flavorful garlic sauce that the toast soaked up beautifully. Super chill vibe. You go up to the counter to order food and then they bring it out of your table. They have a great sound system...you can feel the bass. The menu is handwritten so I definitely had some issues reading it...lol I thought I was going to order chicken lime nope chicken liver....ahh no thanks. So I ordered the smoked pheasant salad. I admit I was a bit hesitant to order...but the lady behind the counter gave me a sample so that was very sweet. I am not a fan of lamb or anything gamey tasting and I gave to admit the pheasant was good. Like it was not overpowering and had a sight smoky after flavor. The dressing was a sweet tangy vinegrett...but it was a bit over dressed. Next time I will opt for the dressing on the side. They brought out a eater pitcher so that was super cool. Stopped here on our way to a lake, The food was really delicious, the shrimp dish with the toast was sooo good, perfectly toasted bread sitting in buttery garlic sauce surrounded by shrimp. It would have been nice to see more shrimp on the dish but overall it was really great. I would give all stars but the food came out probably 5-10 minutes apart from each other so we couldn't eat at the same time. The food was good but the wait for the food was way too long and there were at least 3 dogs inside the restaurant. I'm all for pets but I'm allergic to dogs and didn't feel it was sanitary to have to eat around animals while constantly scratching my eyes and nose while I ate. However cheese pizza that I had was overcooked and I asked the server to change/replace with not overcooked one, but she denied and ignored. I've always taken my order to go and never actually eaten in the establishment so this review is strictly on the food. Industrial Eats is one of the best restaurants in the Solvang-Buellton area. All of their pizzas are amazing. My favorite is the skirt steak pizza and I can easily finish the entire thing all at once with no shame. Usually i'm trying to save some for leftovers for a next meal, but I turn into the Cookie Monster and I can't stop eating it until it's all gone. Yup, no shame at all. It's not a huge pizza per se, but it's definitely enough for 1 person. I've also had their beef tongue pastrami reuben sandwich and also their white shrimp, pancetta, chile, garlic appetizer as well. Both were really good. They also have a really good ice cream/gelato selection that's kind of a hidden gem. Sometimes they even have some sorbets that have some alcohol content in them. The line to order can bottleneck at times, the team members that take your order are so customer focused on who's ordering it sometimes does back up the line. If you're the one being taken care of it's great; when you're actually in line, not so much. The only thing I could recommend is to be patient because the food is worth it. read more

When visiting Solvang, I stumbled upon this place on Yelp. Though ordering took quite some time, employees were super helpful in choosing what was good to eat. The outdoor seating was really nice and the weather was beautiful in complementing the food. There is a lot of parking and a lot of space in between the outdoor seating area. Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. The pizza is immaculate, cooked in a traditional brick oven with very fresh ingredients. I had the: - Proscuitto, Taleggio, Parmesan, and Arugula pizza (5/5) - I recommend asking for light arugula or to have it on the side because it was quite overpowering. - Fennel Sausage, Tomato, Mozerella, and Basil pizza (3/5) - Eh it was very average to any pizza. On our way home from a quick 3 day trip to the central coast (oh, the fresh, locally caught fish!) me and my S.O. decided to lunch at I.E.  Not our first visit there but probably our 4th or 5th time. I was in the mood for their Caesar salad which I must say is a standout among the millions of Caesar salads offered everywhere nowadays. Theirs is loaded with flavor and bursting with garlicky, crisp crunchiness but I digress. Upon viewing the handwritten, cleverly displayed menus high up on the wall my eyes immediately went to the oyster po' boy. An inner struggle took place beginning in my brain going to my mind and eventually losing out to my taste buds. About me:  I love oysters.  I'm from the gulf coast of east Texas.  I've been fed po' boys of all kinds since I was - pick the metaphor of your choice... Anyway, you get the picture. I obviously ordered the oyster po' boy. What was plopped down in front of me was what looked like an English muffin with a few heavily battered oysters on top of a slice of tomato with some saucy looking dressing. There were a few other oysters on the plate that had fallen off the muffiny looking thing.  On the other side of the plate was the other half of the muffiny looking thing with some shredded lettuce and what was I think some sliced pickle material. Was my mind playing tricks on me? This surly WAS NOT any kind of po' boy that I have ever seen. It took me a minute but I figured out that I was either supposed to eat this with a knife and fork OR pick up the two sides and slap them together to form a sandwich. We can agree that a po' boy is a sandwich. A sandwich is all about the bread. You can have the greatest ingredients in the world but if the bread is wrong that's a fail. You can have the greatest bread in the world but if you have lousy ingredients, we'll, you at least have great bread!  I began to wonder what is wrong with these people here, this is totally the wrong bread for a po' boy. It was more like a hamburger bun or a brioche hamburger bun or something but it was definitely not what a po' boy is made with. Did they not have French rolls?  Here's the kicker- I saw orders being delivered to other patrons that were sandwiches on, guess what- French rolls! I.E. - you had a good idea. Your execution was off by miles and miles. Please update your menu and call this what it is- a McPo' boy. One more thing. Please do something about the flies. read more

We ordered the Wilby sandwich - rosemary, garlic ham, cheddar, scallions, sweet butter - prepared like a grilled cheese sandwich Very delicious. We had a great lunch experience while visiting Industrial Eats last weekend. A few people who work at the local wineries had recommended this location to us. We were greeted by a line out the door and a fully packed dinning area. I figured that was a good sign. We ordered the Caesar (with green garlic, grana padano and no croutons), White shrimp (wrapped in pancetta, with chile, garlic) and the Porchetta (with broccoli and a fried egg) to share. We found a seat at a giant table where you sit family style. The party next to us was celebrating a baby shower and were pretty friendly. Our food arrived fairly quickly considering how long the line was. I loved the Salad. That dressing was ridiculously packed with garlic (this is not a good choice if you plan on wine tasting later, seriously wrecked the pallet). The Shrimp were perfectly cooked and served with a rich butter, garlicky wine sauce. The Porchetta was tasty but majorly lacking in seasoning. Once we tracked down some salt and loaded that fat slab of pork with it...the dish popped to life. Super fatty and filling, just the way I like it. Been here a few times and always make sure to eat here at least once when I'm in town. It's a great choice in the area and I usually find more locals than tourists. It's a lively restaurant with communal tables and a few small tables. You order first, then you go find a seat or vice versa. There's one guy clearing the tables and no one to take your order at the table so if you want something else, you get back in line. Pretty simple. They have their daily menu written on butcher paper and some specials written around the counter. Personally, I like their pizza selection and sandwich selection. Some of the shared plates are good too like hummus or garlic prawns. Hard to go wrong with food choices, but if you're overwhelmed you can ask for some suggestions. This review is specifically for their mushroom pizza. What did you do to it?? I remember having one of the most memorable, delicious mushroom pizzas a few years back & this time, it was kinda disgusting. Different, very chewy (probably "gourmet" fancy mushrooms) with some strange cheese- Camembert I think. It was flavorless and gross. Bring back the mushroom pizza with button mushrooms (as normally put on pizza) with tons of garlic. Ugh, sadly I can't come back. My experience was ruined. Also, my dinner. So many great restaurants up this way -2 hours from home- & I wasted my meal on this. Wine from the tap was good, but overpriced per usual. Service was ok. Nothing special. I seriously planned my Santa Barbara/solvang trip for the sole purpose of eating here, and man am I happy I did! The brick oven baked pizza here, divine! We ordered 3 over the course of 2 days ( gotta take advantage of being in its vicinity as much as I can!!) and I am convinced the only wrong they can do is that the edges might be a little too burnt...but in terms of quality and taste, you can't go wrong with any! My favorite was the mushroom pizza as well as the fennel and sausage pizza! Sandwiches are so huge and delicious that my jaw actually started hurting halfway through but it hurt so good! I believe in fate. Case in point, the time my husband & I we're hiking in nearby Carpinteria & came across a fellow hiker & his Bernese mountain dog. Being from the area, he suggested Industrial Eats after he learned of our pch roadtrip. We beelined it for Buellton even thought it strayed away from the 1. This place is situated a 1/2mile from the 101. The name suits the location. You could drive by & not realize that deliciousness is so close. It's an order at the counter, take a number & seat yourself kind of place. Dogs are also welcome inside. My husband & I had the mako shark tacos special & pheasant salad (both amazing). FIVE STARS! FIVE STARS! FIVE STARS! Located down the street from Solvang and about a half mile away from the Hwy101 exit, this place is kind of hidden in an industrial part of Buellton surrounded by a few wine tasting places. My family raves about Industrial Eats so when the time came to choose a spot in the area to celebrate my aunt's 80th birthday it was a no brainer. Industrial Eats was able to accommodate our group of about 30 in their private room right next to the actual restaurant. We were able to bring our own drinks with no corkage fee. Our private server, Devon did an amazing job and was on top of everything. Definitely requesting him to be our server for our next event! In the actual restaurant, there are handwritten signs of the menu with counter ordering and communal dining. Place is always packed and can get loud but has a very chill, laid back vibe. As for the food, just take a look at the pics. If you're a foodie, this is definitely a spot you want to check out. Everything we tried was delicious! From what I hear, the menu always changes so we'll make sure to make another visit soon! Overall, if you're into the farm to table experience, communal dining, unique flavors, and that urban vibe this is a place to check out!
