Very nice coffee shop. We get our beans here to make coffee at home, we like to mix half medium roast and half espresso. They have a nice loyalty program and an air tight container that you bring in for refills. We are newly local, before we moved to Buellton we ordered the beans shipped in 10 lb bags. Staff is very nice, there are cute Alpaca gifts in the shop. I have gotten the empanadas and some pastries, no complaints, always good. read more

I had such a delicious iced latte on Thursday that I returned for another on Friday. It was made with whole milk (yum) and tasted smooth and delicious. My husband enjoyed a cup of fresh brewers coffee that he liked so well that he bought a pound to take home. The service was friendly and efficient. The shop had some inside seating but we did not stay. Please note that this shop is in a strip mall next to the Albertsons's shopping center and can be a little tough to locate. read more

The service here is top notch. I visited their Santa Barbara cart last year and enjoyed the coffee. This is more your typical shop with a few tables and high top bar seating along the window. We looked for a local spot near our hotel and I remembered the name and logo. We were greeted by a helpful team who were in great spirits. I got my usual drip and my wife got the chai. I liked to hear that they roast their own beans and the coffee was spot on and fresh. The chai was not too spicy and not too sweet. We also got a tri tip frittata which was super tasty! Heading to San Diego from the Central Coast requires a good start with good coffee. And Zaca delivers that in spades. They roast their own beans and it's pretty tasty. The locals support this business very well and the staff are passionate about their work. I ordered a "dirt road chai latte". One of the best dirty chais I've had in a while. Looked up some local coffee shops and found this place on Yelp and it had pretty good reviews. First off, staff members and location were great. Friendly service, helpful staff members. Location was decorated nicely, clean, spacious, nice ambiance. So this is why I rated this a 4 stars. The coffee itself was ok, not the best that I've had. This was a lovely place to stop & grab some coffee. They've done such a great job transforming the space from its previous tenant (a bakery). The space is open & bright with plenty of seating. I tried their pistachio decaf latte, which was excellent. There's no bitter aftertaste like you find with some espressos. Prior to the opening of the shop, I had tried some Zaca lattes at their trailer cafe! When I heard they were opening an actual cafe in town, I was excited to give try it out. I admittedly was a little delayed in making this review! I've stopped a couple of times and gotten to try their lattes as well as some of the baked goods. From a savory standpoint, the spinach feta egg empanada hits the spot! For a sweet tooth, their almond croissant has a perfect balance of everything. For drink, I tend to lean towards an iced latte! I'll get a flavor if I'm feeling fun but otherwise enjoy a regular latte :) They have lots of seats inside and outside which makes it nice to sit back and enjoy your treat. If you're thinking about stopping by, do it! Make sure to arrive a bit early if you want to ensure all the goodies are there for choice. read more

Came in on a Sunday morning with my friend for a coffee and snack. We both got the iced vanilla latte and it was good. I wish the coffee flavor was stronger because the coffee is so good but it did its job. We shared a sausage and egg empanada and it was so delicious! It came with a creamy yet spicy sauce and also a flavorful chimichurri. My friend and I loved it! Every bite was flavorful and delicious, I would definitely get that again. I stopped in just after opening and there were no other customers, so i had a chance to chat with the young gal that was making my coffee. The baristas were friendly and it was super cute inside. I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and an iced vanilla coconut latte. The bagel was good, but the latte tasted a little watered down. I could taste coconut but not any vanilla. I still enjoyed it and would go again if I were back in the area :) read more

This is a lovely little country cafe tucked away in a retail strip mall type area. It has a nice patio area. We were warmly greeted. The coffee and cookie were both excellent. I liked the coffee enough to buy a bag of recently roasted Yama whole bean coffee. I brewed some at home and was pleased to experience a rich yet smooth and flavorful cup of Jo! Zac a Coffee is still very new to their Buellton location. Although a little hidden they are well worth seeking out. They offer some of the best coffee in Santa Barbara county (yes I do try a lot of coffee houses). By best coffee, I mean what is served to drink. Too many cafe reviews are about everything but the coffee. I am not rating a sandwich shop, a restaurant, or a doughnut shop. These are all in the area as well. I am talking about coffee here and Zaca coffee is great. Once my current coffee stash runs out I will buy some of their's. I personally like the medium roast but they offer a full spectrum. I do not like extremely dark roasts as they are too bitter for me. I am very picky about the coffee I drink and routinely order different coffees for home use. The location, with indoor and outdoor seating, is very nice as well. I would urge anyone to give them a try and share your experience, mine was great. read more

Zaca's Walker Blend is easily the smoothest, best tasting coffee you can buy if you're a fan of drip coffee. I've tried a lot of different coffee beans in my life and to date, this was probably the best tasting drip coffee I've had. Recently I ventured into the world of espresso and after trying several popular premium brands, I came back to Zaca to try their Bosko blend and again, was pleasantly surprised. It had a bold, chocolate and nutty taste and wasn't bitter like Bluebottle and others. It was also a high quality bean that didn't require me to grind as fine as other beans. Highly recommend Bosko if you're an espresso fan. read more

Beautiful shop with amazing coffees. We got an alpaca souvenir for our toddler, she's obsessed! We went to Zaca Coffee twice over our weekend trip and every coffee we tried was excellent. I recently visited the area and am always looking to try new coffee shops, which this was located within walking distance of the motel we stayed at. This place was nestled in the back of a strip mall, not easy to see off the main road. I was greeted by staff with a welcoming hello, staff was friendly and engaged. Ambiance was lovely, small area with tables and chairs and a second seating area with comfy couches. I tried their drip coffee which I found to be delightful. The place offers food options as well, I got the ham and cheese croissant and a breakfast empanada. Both were tasty.
