This was an excellent find! It sits in a very non-descript location, but lucky for me that I was looking for this coffee roaster I met a group of co-workers there, and we all indulged in a variety of items. I chose the salted butterscotch cappuccino and a piece of coffee cake. Both were stellar! I'm not sure where they source their pastries, but that was a damn good coffee cake!!! The pricing is very comparable & fair. Great atmosphere, ample seating & a nice restroom (if you need it). Service from multiple staff members was top notch. read more

Service was welcoming and friendly. My friend K quizzed the employee about basic coffee drinks - had it been me she was asking if would have given an eye roll. My Egg nog latte was made decaf and it was perfect! The best Egg nog to be used and the right amount for me for the entire holiday season. What a lovely spot. Luckily snagged a parking spot right away and walked in to order on a rainy Monday morning. Bonus points as we beat the rush. We ordered 2 hot vanilla lattes to enjoy there and we agreed they both were absolutely delightful. It's rare we actually are able to sit and enjoy the coffee. I noticed locals working from home and doing some art. It seems to be a very welcoming spot. read more

When visiting Solvang I stopped at this amazing coffee shop. The barista was so nice and made me one of the best vanilla lattes I've had. She served this coffee in a glass cup and it was definitely photo worthy. This latte was served at the perfect temp and very smooth. I loved that this coffee shop had a bar to sip your coffee and interact with other customers. Definitely coming back if I'm in the area. read more

Little King is such a cute little coffee place with big flavor. We were immediately greeted upon walking in. We ordered a dirty chai with oat milk , brown sugar cardamom with cinnamon powder latte with oat milk and 2 coffee cakes. The dirty chai is exactly the way I like them, spicy tasting (spices not peppers) and creamy smooth. It tastes like a chai should taste. The brown sugar cardamom latte tasted smooth, creamy, slightly sweet just the way I like my lattes. If you love Starbucks or Rad coffee this is definitely not the place for you. Everything is true to coffee and enjoying the coffee. If you like sweet coffees they will gladly help you though. They try to make all their pastries and syrups in house. I would definitely recommend Little King if you love the art of coffee because they are true coffee artists...yum! read more

Great location. A lot of parking and is easy to get in and out. Service was excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly. Inside is minimalistic, good place to come and have a conversation with friends or get a little work done. Coffee was good. Food was bad. Coffee cake was burnt. Even the cinnamon crumble could not mask the burnt taste. Biscuit sandwich was also a disappointment. The biscuit was flat and when cut for the sandwich, the top was thin and after a bite completely fell apart, leaving a open face sandwich. The bacon had a sweet glaze and the pieces I could bite through were good but half of the bacon was too hard for my taste. The egg was flavorless even with the chives. The sandwich has potential but I would not recommend from my experience. I am sure I just got it on an off morning. read more

Whenever my family and I stay in Solvang, I always make a point to venture outside the area to find interesting places. This was one of those places during our recent trip. It's located right by 101 FWY so it's quite convenient for stopping before and after a trip to Solvang. Place isn't that big, but due to its clean decor, it looks bigger than it really is. Aesthetics are quite pleasing and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Someone always greeted us when we arrived and when we left. In terms of drinks, experience is little mixed. I really liked its basic coffee, Americano, and Mint Latte, but its special drink Strawberry Basil Latte was just ok. The drink itself tasted fine but I couldn't taste strawberry nor basil. I saw them cooking the sauce/syrup with real basil so I know it was in there but the flavor just didn't come through. Valley Breakfast Sandwich was pretty good, although a bit on the pricey side (especially if you add bacon to it). It's a biscuit sandwich with a really thick egg (almost like a tamago), hot sauce, and American cheese. read more

Little King is on top of it with their Matcha! Try their brown sugar cardamom matcha latte. Today I tried their holiday matcha with cranberry, ginger beer, and matcha on top! It was incredible. Living locally, I was very excited to learn about the opening of a new coffee shop right in Buellton! Seeing the Instagram page announcing a soft opening, my boyfriend and I stopped over right away to get some coffee. Having a few questions about the syrups, the cashier was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction and noted that they were house-made. I ended up opting for a rosemary orange latte while my boyfriend got a golden mylk latte. We waited to the side for our drinks to come out, which they did promptly :) My latte was very good, with the citrus and floral hint from the syrup. My boyfriend said he really liked his latte, which I also got to enjoy a sip of. On their Instagram, I saw that they carry some baked goods from a bakery in Los Osos as well! I knew I had to come back. Today I was able to and got a coffee cake with a cappuccino. Everything was as good as I hoped for! The coffee cake is moist and cinnamony, sweet but not too sweet. And the cappuccino is the perfect strength on the side. Overall, I'm so thrilled to have a new cute coffee shop in SYV! Highly recommend and will definitely be back. read more

Fantastic quality coffee and technique. They source their beans locally from Coastal Coffee Collective in Ventura. I mention the technique because after going multiple times and trying a variety of drinks off of their menu; all were expertly prepared and crafted. The inside decor with a seated bar encourages you to sit-in and enjoy the experience. Because let's be honest, a cortado in a paper cup just isn't right. Love this place. Love the staff. Came in for a new thrill. I was greeted kindly but the conversation was short lived; i felt the barista resented me. Immediate interior decor was lively and nice, but the yellow kangaroo flowers were dry and dead, and the menu didn't display any tea drinks. I had some tea, maybe a couple of pastries, and that was it. It felt more family friendly rather than a safe place to study. When I went in, I was willing to wait for quality service and products; later found out that QoS was not in favor and received overstepped tea with 3 baristas on duty w/ 3-4 consumers, including myself. Good vibes, but would only recommend to travelers with young kids (park + playground next door) or dog lovers overall. read more

New favorite coffee shop! My husband and I live 30 minutes away and have been driving down at least once a week. Every drink has been perfect. I've yet to try anything flavored but the espresso they use is so tasty. Their baked goods are also insane, you have to try the rye chocolate chip cookie, we get multiple for the road every time, haha! The couple who owns it is so kind and there's plenty of places to sit inside. Love the vibe and the way they decorated and all of the cups and mugs they use for "for here" drinks are so cute too. read more
