We've had this coffee before but we don't live close to this place so we don't really visit as often. I do miss the old logo of the skull. Initially we were parked in front of the store to fix something in my car, but the Irish cream cold brew piqued our interest. The Irish cream is very delicious but also sweet. The cold brew coffee they use has more of that citrus/bright notes to it versus Starbucks cocoa notes. But once the cream Cascades down or if you mix it, it's not too sweet and it's pretty well balanced. I wish they used a coffee with some cocoa notes in it, but still a really good coffee. read more

Parked right next to their winter drink signs and saw the Irish cream cold brew and had to get it. There wasn't a line so we got our order pretty fast. The first sip of the cream was amazing although a bit too sweet for my taste. Once I got to the coffee part, flavor was more on the acidic side which also isn't my type of coffee...I prefer dark chocolate notes but with this Irish cream it was perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the cream and acidity of the coffee. First visit and I think this might be the nicest coffee shop I've been to so far! The aesthetic was modern and just felt like a really nice place to be. The guy and girl who worked here were nice and friendly. I'd definitely come back. This is what I had this time around: Gingerbread latte with an add shot 5/5: fire. The espresso was perfect- smooth, rich, and not bitter or sour at all. I stumbled across Old Town Coffee today for the first time while in Old Town Goleta for work and was surprised by how spacious it was inside, considering the storefront is pretty small. Several groups of UCSB students were enjoying coffee and the whole shop had a friendly, casual atmosphere. I scooped up a latte with soy milk - a plus to have in my book - and it was really good. The workers were extremely friendly and the price was better than most spots. Turns out they also roast their own beans, which helps explain why it was so delicious. As soon as I walked in, I fell in love with the chill vibe of the place. It seems like a great place to hang out with friends and family or study and do homework. They have inside and outdoor seating, games, lots of food and pastry options, as well as drink and alternative milk options! The customer service team is on it and really seems to know what they're doing. It was some of the best coffee I've had in a while! Best chai ever! I keep coming back for their chai because it's not too sweet and actually tastes like chai, I find that many places opt to make their chais extremely sweet and just taste like a cinnamon sugar bomb. Not here! My friend ordered their gibraltar and really enjoyed it as well. The place is also connected to an arcade, wine bar, and outdoor patio-- really cool. The baristas have been friendly the past 2 times I've been and have recommended great pastries to try. My drinks always come out incredibly fast too, despite however busy it is. Will keep returning here whenever I'm in Santa Barbara. read more

Parking can be a bit challenging in this area depending on the time of day. They have a great space with lots of seating available inside. This is a nice spot to hang and get some work done. This week we had the pleasure of having Abby taking good care of us. And always nice to chat with owners Tim and Rachel to find out about all future happenings at OTC. We got to spread out on the communal table up front, sunshine through the big windows and watching the world go by. Whether it's one of their many flavored latte drinks, (excited for the Winter and their Holiday Lattes), or just a big ole' cup of medium roast coffee, its a nice way to continue the waking up process. They also have some tasty AM vittles. Both breakfast sandwiches/burritos, and sweet pastries and bagels. And SWAG, they have some very cool swag items for everyone. I know where I am doing a lot of my Christmas shopping this year. As a Goleta Native it will be good to represent with the assorted OTC shirts, cups and mugs, and fresh coffee beans to go. Staff is friendly just like when you step into a friend's house and they welcome you with a "Que Onda Wey" and on top of that they bring Your order to the table. I got to say this place got nothing on Starbucks. The best coffee shop in Goleta!! The atmosphere is inviting: spacious, yet homey, with plentiful seating inside and a large patio outside. It's a great place to kick back, relax or study. The coffee is tasty and there are a lot of food offerings to try. Unfortunately they don't carry the famous Buena Onda empanadas any longer. When I walked in, the owner Tim was at the front, roasting coffee beans. He explained the process (12-14 minutes at ~425 degrees). I had never seen the coffee roasting process and it was neat to have it prominently on display as you walk in. There is also a wide selection of wine and beer, and they often have live music on the back patio on the weekends. They also have a game room, with pool tables, shuffleboard and pinball machines! I hope places like this continue to open in Old Town Goleta for the gentrification many Goleta locals are hoping for. Note: Parking can be difficult on Hollister Avenue. But persevere! Atmosphere is nice but the customer service is strongly lacking!!! I ordered a coffee here, sat down, drank it, finished it, & tossed my cup. Continued reading a book I had at hand. A few minutes later, I noticed a woman who worked there giving me really dirty looks. She then went up to the table I was sitting at & started yelling at me at the top of her lungs while everyone in the entire coffee shop watched her belittle me. She said I was not welcome in the shop without a purchase. I then pulled out my mobile phone to show her receipt with proof of purchase. Instead of apologizing, she continued on saying a table could not be occupied for "long periods of time." Mind you there was a table across of me with an entire study group who had been there before me! I was so taken aback with how I was treated, I left embarrassed and cried. I have never been treated so badly in my life as a paying customer. I recommend Dune's or even Starbucks. You can enjoy your coffee and there's no time limit on seating. If you do choose to get a coffee here make sure you don't toss your cup until you are ready to leave or you WILL get nasty looks or even humiliated! read more

Stumbled upon this little coffee shop on my morning walk, and was glad I could check it out. It wasn't very crowded on a Saturday morning, which was appreciated, as it seems like this is one of the only true cafes in the area. The matcha isn't anything groundbreaking, but fairly decent for a neighborhood coffee shop. I do really like the set up here and the cute outdoor area in the back. You really can't go wrong finding cute, chill coffee spots in the Santa Barbara area. When I was a UCSB student, finding a good study spot outside of campus is a must, and Old town Coffee is one of em. Very spacious and even has an ample outdoor patio with several seating areas (each table has their own succulent, which I find super cute). Best coffee hands down and their pastries are.... Simply scrumptious. Or they have wraps and egg muffins for when that hunger kicks in. Super friendly staff and cleanliness. And very relaxing and upbeat music. Definitely recommend! read more

We came in to do some homework and it was a vibe. The live band playing was awesome- we couldn't see them but we heard them. They have a bar and an arcade area. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We lost track of time working, when we checked the time (9:53pm) we realized it was late and didn't want to be those people that stay til the last minute.
