Display case with plenty of bagels

Very clean cafe. Minimalist vibe. Prompt and helpful service. Nice amount of food in display case: bagels, donuts, pastries. Coffee was quite decent making this a good alternative to the nearby multinational chain options.

Perfect breakfast place near the hotel. Offers a variety of coffee and bagels. For the first time staff heard the extra toasted request for my everything lox bagel. Onion was cut very thin not overwhelming, the micro greens on top were excellent. My hubby loved his breakfast sandwich definitely a place to go for breakfast and coffee. They allow dogs on the patio which is a plus.

    - Locale Destination - It's on Calle Real and Kingston Ave in Goleta. Ambiance: modern, clean, cozy. Menu: coffee, drinks, pastries, light food like sandwiches Service: quick - Gluttony Expedition - Cappuccino: a bit more acidic side, but smooth with medium body. Not bad. BLT sandwich: simple, clean and tasty - Conqueror's Deduction - 3.5 stars. If you prefer a bolder coffee, you might think it's a bit too light. But it's not bad! Good food, too.

Good ambience, spacious and pleasant music. The staff members are friendly. I didn't quite like the latte (the espresso had a strange lingering bitterness). The bagel and cream cheese were good. Their cream cheese was refreshingly light. The place is on the more expensive side (cream cheese cost me $1.25?!) All-gender, accessible restrooms; moderately clean. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. Decent spot to work - power outlets and WiFi available.

Of course my favorite coffee spot opened another location close to me so I had to check it out! This new location on Calle Real is much more open and has lots of indoor and outdoor seating! The menu is the same so you can get all of your favorites, including the beloved empanadas! Staff was helpful, friendly, and kind! I also spotted a good number of outlets so a nice working space! Can't wait to be here all the time!

Great spot for coffee and avocado toast! Staff is friendly and professional. The cafe has a fun vibe with plenty of long tables for study sessions or work groups.

    Avocado toast with bacon

I was on a business trip and I went to this cafe twice. The nearby hotel restaurant, was at was charging $21 for avocado toast, and this was about $12 with the bacon. It was really good, though the bacon is more like bacon crumble and I'm not sure I would get the bacon again. The first day, I had the chubaka which was a space chai like hot drink with milk. The second day I had the Gibraltar and that was also delicious. The servers were really nice. The space was spacious and clean. It opens early, at 6 AM and closes early at 4 PM.

What a delightful experience at Lighthouse Coffee! The Calle Real location is ideal, with ample parking and indoor and outdoor seating. The establishment was aesthetically pleasing, clean, quiet, a fabulous place to pick up a beverage, a delicious Buena Onda Empanada, or baked goods. The staff were extremely helpful. Expert barista Judith was wonderful and answered all my questions about the beverages on offer. I decided to go with the delectable iced "Dirty Chai". The most yummy chai with milk and a shot of espresso! Good decisions were made. I shall be returning! Thank you Lighthouse Coffee!

Love this new location in Goleta. One small recommendation: lower the volume of the music. Or even better, limit to instrumental music only.

Like many parts of Santa Barbara, the buildings are steeped in history and reflect the Spanish heritage of the city. I walked in my dog (they're dog friendly!) and went straight to look for the menu. My dog immediately found the bike pump and the snacks they leave for dogs. Service is super nice! They all seem very jovial and cheerful - making it a really nice local vibe. It was great to see the community in the coffee shop. Sadly, the coffee leaves something to be desired. Their menu is pretty standard - you got your flat whites, cappuccinos, lattes - and nothing special or standout from the menu. That's fine - you can still be a standout coffee shop with a standard menu. I ordered two vanilla lattes - one hot, and the other iced with oat milk. Unfortunately, I think my order was misheard as my iced oat latte was missing the vanilla. - Vanilla Latte: Fine. My partner typically orders this everywhere and he said it was fine, but nothing standout. 3/5 - Iced Oat Latte: Already mentioned it was missing the vanilla I asked for, so I'll discuss the other elements. They use a darker roast - thus, making it more susceptible to a bitter taste. That, and I believe an over-extraction or a longer pull made the coffee quite bitter. They also served it in the same cup as the hot coffee. My main issue with this is that I'm a slower coffee drinker, and thus my cup began disintegrating as time passed. Their cups aren't constructed to uphold iced coffee well. 2/5 It was such a prime location nearby the USPS and is sat in a great historic area. Handlebars has great staff, who clearly enjoy their jobs, and have a great community surrounding it. It's sad that their coffee is subpar. Strongly recommend you order your coffee hot, to drink in-store, or just avoid.
