Amazing. Very special coffees. Fun location. Food is so good. Prices are reasonable. Workers are so nice and helpful. Go here, it is an experience.

They have an outdoor patio with about 10 sizable seats. The patio is dog friendly. Super cute vibe! Matcha Latte - Comes with a splash of vanilla. The perfect sweeter. Blended really well together. The baristas were helpful with the menu and our drinks came out quickly.

Bougie Brews Done Right We couldn't resist stopping in for some bougie coffee magic--The Burnout and The Yemen--at Caje Coffee Roasters, and wow, was it worth it! The open-air courtyard was buzzing with happy coffee lovers, adorable babies, and plenty of dogs soaking up the sunshine. With the perfect weather and such an inviting vibe, it's easy to see why this place stays busy. As first-timers, we really appreciated the friendly staff who guided us through their specialty menu. We decided to go all in on their signature drinks, and I'm so glad we did. The presentation alone is next-level--completely Instagram-worthy--and the flavors back it up. Yes, it's a little on the pricier side, but honestly? Compared to Starbucks, the taste and the artistry make it feel like a steal. If you're in town, this is absolutely a must-try spot.

Visited 8/1/25 Smoked Salmon Bagel: 10/10 Rosemary Thai Tea: 8/10 I ordered the smoked salmon bagel and the rosemary Thai tea, and both were absolutely delicious! The presentation was stunning, so much so that I couldn't stop taking photos before eating. My order came out quickly, which I really appreciated, and the overall atmosphere made the experience even better. The seating area is very relaxing and beautifully set up, perfect for enjoying your food at a slower pace. Just keep in mind that the space is primarily outdoor seating, so plan accordingly depending on the weather.

Came to Santa Barbara and being a coffee lover I had to come to Caje Coffee. It was recommended in so many social media post and also kept coming up on Yelp. I got the blended coffee and it was super refreshing and tasted delicious. The ambiance and aesthetics are super cute.

To-go cup of the special drink they marketed and blueberry muffin
Saliha M.

We stopped here during our road trip, excited to finally try the Bella Rose Matcha after seeing all the dreamy promo photos--rose petals, a fresh strawberry, elegant glassware, the full aesthetic. What I got instead? A plastic to-go cup with iced matcha and a sprinkle of beet powder. No rose petals. No strawberry. No presentation. (See attached.) When I politely asked where the rose petals were, the barista seemed visibly annoyed and just said they had "run out." No apology, no heads-up at the time of ordering. I mentioned the drink didn't look anything like the photos, and he responded that this location only does to-go orders and doesn't serve anything the way it's advertised. Nowhere on the menu or website does it say that--which honestly feels deceptive. To make things worse, while we waited, two of the barista's friends came by and hovered near the counter like they were customers, but it was clear they hadn't actually ordered anything. Normally, I wouldn't care, but it was already taking 10-15 minutes to get our drinks and he seemed fully caught up chatting with them while preparing orders. I get that they probably had a crazy morning rush (it seemed never-ending), but in that moment he seemed distracted and disengaged--and when he announced our drinks and I asked about the missing rose petals, it felt dismissive and unprofessional. My sister ordered a vanilla latte that had a cute heart in the foam, and my mom got a chai latte with cinnamon around the rim--it looked and smelled amazing. They both got everything bagels; my sister's had roasted veggies on it. I got a blueberry muffin, which was solid. The female staff were genuinely sweet and welcoming, so props to them for keeping a warm vibe going despite the chaos. The real letdown was the atmosphere. There was nowhere clean to sit. The only usable table was in the mall corridor, and I had to lay down napkins over a fresh puddle of dog pee just to sit. Every other table was dirty or taken. We were traveling with our pup and just wanted a calm, decent breakfast before another long drive, and this was not the vibe. The drinks and food tasted fine, but the whole experience felt scattered, unwelcoming, and nothing like what's advertised online. If you're coming for the aesthetic or a relaxing café moment, don't go to this location. Try a different branch--or seriously manage your expectations. We definitely wish we had.

My husband and I were hanging out in downtown Santa Barbara and we stopped by to get some regular coffee. The interiors is gorgeous. The staff were okay. The coffee is pretty good and I'll definitely go back to try more of their menu.

Iced salted pecan latte

Would drive to Santa Barbara just for this coffee. The salted pecan latte (half sweetened and iced) is a must for this season. Also a huge fan of the iced dirty chai latte. No notes.

Love the atmosphere! Cute coffee shop in Santa Barbara. We got there at 9am on a weekday and it was pretty busy already. Ordered the salmon bagel and it was delicious! Definitely a must to visit if you are in the area.

This place was very unique! The latte was pretty I just wish it had a stronger coffee flavor I even got three shots. Employees were nice and it's nice to sit and chill at. Would come back if I'm ever in the area again!

Such a pleasant time always stopping by here great selection they have ! The girls are super friendly and sweet, the ambiance is also great

Caje.
Dare H.

Caje makes excellent latte. The espresso has a distinctive, deeply textured taste that is very appealing. The baristas are all unfailingly polite, the decor is simple and fun, and the line moves quick when there is one. The other day I got a dirty chai latte and it was excellent as well. It's right on State, so it's a convenient spot when you are out shopping or grabbing lunch. I highly recommend Caje!

Plants- sorry no drink pictures

Was here with my daughter on Friday after walking for a while on State St. we got a little thirsty and decided to try this place out. I ordered an iced chai tea latte and my daughter ordered an iced matcha latte . Both of our drinks were very good. They have a couple of benches inside to sit but the seating area is mostly outside in the courtyard of the Paseo Nuevo. I am a plant lover so I loved there shelves with plants. Great little spot.

Like many parts of Santa Barbara, the buildings are steeped in history and reflect the Spanish heritage of the city. I walked in my dog (they're dog friendly!) and went straight to look for the menu. My dog immediately found the bike pump and the snacks they leave for dogs. Service is super nice! They all seem very jovial and cheerful - making it a really nice local vibe. It was great to see the community in the coffee shop. Sadly, the coffee leaves something to be desired. Their menu is pretty standard - you got your flat whites, cappuccinos, lattes - and nothing special or standout from the menu. That's fine - you can still be a standout coffee shop with a standard menu. I ordered two vanilla lattes - one hot, and the other iced with oat milk. Unfortunately, I think my order was misheard as my iced oat latte was missing the vanilla. - Vanilla Latte: Fine. My partner typically orders this everywhere and he said it was fine, but nothing standout. 3/5 - Iced Oat Latte: Already mentioned it was missing the vanilla I asked for, so I'll discuss the other elements. They use a darker roast - thus, making it more susceptible to a bitter taste. That, and I believe an over-extraction or a longer pull made the coffee quite bitter. They also served it in the same cup as the hot coffee. My main issue with this is that I'm a slower coffee drinker, and thus my cup began disintegrating as time passed. Their cups aren't constructed to uphold iced coffee well. 2/5 It was such a prime location nearby the USPS and is sat in a great historic area. Handlebars has great staff, who clearly enjoy their jobs, and have a great community surrounding it. It's sad that their coffee is subpar. Strongly recommend you order your coffee hot, to drink in-store, or just avoid.

The corn tortilla one was my favorite. They were around $5 each. They had a great assortment of coffee options and tres leches cakes (coconut tres leches and horchata tres leches were some of the flavor options). There was plenty of indoor dining areas. They give you a buzzer to inform you when your order was ready. The items were made fresh to order. The breakfast tacos were delicious. There's parking in an underground garage there but I found street parking across the street. The bad: I wanted fresh orange juice but they were out. The jamaica drink was supposed to be with lemongrass but I didn't taste the lemongrass. The drink was slightly sweeter than I expected but it came with ice so it would've been great if I let the ice melt more. The interesting: This was one of the 2 or 3 places open at 10 am when I came. The other spots in this food hall had workers there but they didn't officially open until 11 am or later. The bathrooms were clean. I liked the spraying hand sanitizer they had outside the bathroom and the stand alone sink they had at the high chair area by this spot.

I ordered the cold brew black, so I was off pretty quick. I got in the car and took a sip. It was a pretty dark roast, and I wanna say pretty French in roast profile? I dunno.
