Recently discovered this place! Zaca coffee is a cute little coffee trailer in the Santa Barbara Funk Zone. The girls working were really sweet. I ordered a Matcha latte which was really good. They also have kids juice boxes. My daughter got one and was very excited about it. They had empanadas which I will definitely go back and try at some point. Very spacious and was easy to find. Cute coffee trailer with lots of delicious drink options. I love that you can order ahead on their website. Service was fast and staff were very friendly. There's plenty of seating, but it's all outside because of the nature of the food truck situation. There were also no bathrooms, again because it's a food truck. I would still return if I'm in the area, and would plan out my coffee consumption with respect to the bathroom situation better next time. read more

This is such a cute coffee or tea stop for your Santa Barbara weekend adventure. Located across from a popular Mexican restaurant and tucked inside a gated parking lot, the coffee truck is absolutely charming. There's no indoor seating, but the outdoor setup feels relaxed, cozy, and welcoming. Tip: The current seasonal drink is the iced cherry mocha -- I noticed lots of people ordering it! Ended up trying new coffee places both from carts/trailers! Zaca Coffee Trailer is a cute little trailer that's tucked in a parking lot in the Santa Barbara arts district. When we went, there was no actual parking in the lot itself as I think they leave it open for seating and other businesses which is smart since it's not a huge lot anyway. So you can park in the paid lots or just find street parking. I got a vanilla latte for my husband which I think was the llama latte and I got the honeysuckle iced coffee since I read that was good. At 10 am on a Tuesday, it wasn't crowded at all. The woman making my coffee was really nice and I enjoyed my coffee a lot! Will be back when I'm in the area. read more

When in Santa Barbara, it's always coffee first at Dart Coffee Co. till I stumble upon Zaca Coffee Trailer from signs leading to this really cool vintage trailer in the the Funk Zone. Zaca Coffee Trailer was founded in 2021 in the Santa Ynez Valley by a huband and wife team, there is another located in the city of Buellton "Central Coast" parking can be a bit of a challenge. There are about five table and chairs under a cover top and two picnic tables with umbrellas, there is a area that you can order merchandise from like shirts, caps, mugs and coffee. You walk up to order and then the staff will call your name when your order is ready. The staff were super friendly when I came and educated me on their empanadas (which are baked by a local couple). The empanadas were delicious! I had the egg and sausage, quinoa, apple, and guava with cream cheese. Yes i had four, don't judge me. All were delicious but the guava with cream cheese was ::chefs kiss:: The iced coffees were very smooth and enjoyable. I wish there was a tad more vanilla syrup in it but hey! Better than too much! The latte was good. The empanada wasn't great (the cheese was clumpy). It was flavorful but could be so much better (the barista did warm it up slightly for me, but would have tasted great when hot). The guava-cheese pastry was decent but the guava jam was too sweet. Love the location and the picnic tables. Great service. Expected a lot more but was a good experience nevertheless. My latte was over $8 with of course an added tip because tipping is just a must-- but really, I left feeling like there were not enough ounces in my cup of coffee to justify the cost. It did taste good though and it was delightfully honey tasting, which I loved. The llama latte I was hoping to find out that it had some sort of fun llama add on of some kind like llama milk-- well, actually, is there such a thing?! Either way, come to find out, it's just a cute namesake afterall but nonetheless and good find off the main road in Santa Barbara and my coffee was a nice caffeine boost to get me through the afternoon. Learned that they are roasters out of Santa Ynez Valley, offering a handful of blends + a decaf one, without too much in the way of sourcing. The Brazil, Columbia & Ethiopia blend on espresso was well prepared by the friendly and helpful barista, served to-go only in a neatly branded paper cup. The coffee itself (Bosko's Blend) had a juicy acidity, light sweetness with substantial body & strong chocolate/ nutty overtones; signature of a more traditional leaning espresso. Overall a very enjoyable coffee, for which I plan on returning to try in a milk drink, or maybe a house specialty beverage. Will update when that happens. They also offer breakfast empanadas, which were good if a little unorthodox; the spinach was open-faced? Not a problem, since it was delicious and well balanced. The egg empanada was round? But closed and crimped this time. Cute, if a little doughy, which was not helped by the extra dough on the inside, where it competes with the filling. I'll try a different one next time, but you gotta show up earlier rather than later for the more popular ones. Would definitely recommend. read more

while we we walking around the funk zone we came across a friendly Llama! I believe named Moe? Haha Moe's friends mentioned that he is the mascot for Zaca Coffee nearby. The following day we ate across the street and realized it was the Zaca Coffee trailer right there so we just had to go grab coffee. The girl at the counter was friendly and I asked what the "Llama Latte" was and she said it was just the name they gave for their latte and the different syrups they had available. I decided to go with the vanilla latte, it was an okay latte. I think if I was back in town I would try another of their drinks. Through Instagram I learned about the opening of a Zaca coffee trailer here in Buellton! Considering we don't have too many coffee shops right in town, it was a place I knew I needed to check out. It's very easy to find with some signs in the streets! Plenty of parking when arriving. When I walked up to the window, I knew I wanted a warm beverage but wasn't in the mood for an espresso drink. I ended up choosing a hot chocolate. I hadn't intended on getting a pastry but when I saw them in the window I couldn't resist. I was stuck between a cinnamon roll or strawberry roll but opted for the strawberry roll per the recommendation of one of the ladies running the trailer. They were very kind and helpful. About a minute or two later my order was good to go! The hot chocolate was very delicious and not too rich yet definitely chocolatey. I waited until I got home to try the strawberry roll and oh my gosh it was sooo good. The pastries themselves aren't made by Zaca but made by a local business :) Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Zaca and will definitely be coming again! Highly recommend. read more
