This was a solid vanilla latte and definitely recommend you stop by to check out this awesome coffee shop. The coffee was smooth and the vanilla syrup was balanced and not too sweet. The barista was super chill and the atmosphere had a great vibe. Cool place to chill and have a cup of coffee.
I saw on Instagram that Dune had a new strawberry matcha latte for the summer. It inspired me to swing by the Dune Coffee on Calle Real and give it a try! I arrived around 1pm on a weekday so naturally there wasn't too much foot traffic. When I went up to order, I noticed the display case full of some yummy pastries. I asked the cashier about the pastries inside and decided to try a cinnamon roll. After ordering, I took a seat at a little table. There was a lot of nice seating options! My warmed up pastry arrived followed by the strawberry matcha latte. I dug in right away. The pastry was sweet and cinnamony. It had a night lightness yet thickness to it that was really good. My only criticism was that the base of the roll might've been a tad greasy, but not horribly so. The matcha latte was yummy! It was sweet, milky, and had a hint of matcha. I admittedly couldn't taste the matcha much over the sweet strawberry milk but it was definitely still there. Overall, I had a really nice time at Dune Coffee. The ambiance was relaxed and the staff were very helpful!
Love that they're open in Sundays until 4pm. I have been obsessed with the matcha lemonade since I first had it a couple of months ago so of course, I had to go back when in town. Service was friendly like usual, shop was clean, sadly no pastries by the time I was there at 2pm. My husband says the cappuccino is one of the best he's had. So overall, we remain happy customers.
Came here on Sunday morning around 9 AM & there were plenty of parking spaces. It wasn't super busy, so we were able to order right away. I decided to get the iced vanilla latte and a croissant. I also decided to purchase some coffee beans to take home. Service was quick and the drink was tasty. I like that it was not too sweet or milky. I'll definitely check out Dune again when I'm in the area!
I had an event in the neighborhood so was looking for a quick drink to wake me up. This coffee shop was in the area so stopped in. Shop is located on the end of a strip mall by a Chinese restaurant. Plenty of parking right out front. Drink offerings are pretty standard. A couple of unique offerings are provide in the shop: including a drink with tonic? I ordered a matcha that was good but nothing special. Although the swan decor on top of my drink was super cute! I think the thing to get here is a coffee drinks as they feature their own coffee. The environment is pretty minimalist inside. As minimal furnishings, the shop is bit loud. And it was loud with not many people inside. Not really a shop that you would want to lounge in all day, especially as I don't think they offer internet unless it was just locked down. Also a cup of seats out front. Perhaps a place to pick up and go!

Read some great reviews about this place but my experience was underwhelming. Got a small iced latte which cost $5.98 (I think that's a bit on the pricier side). The latte itself was okay but I have had better! The espresso didn't come through and had a strange after-taste. The barista also put too much ice in it. The decor is nicely done but most of the tables had stains on them and the whole place had a strange odor.
Really great service, Lots of open seating here - they had some cute holiday drinks including gingerbread latte which was very gingerbready and sweet, the peppermint mocha was good but could have had a bit more peppermint flavor - the interior decor was really cute with wall painting and lots of lighting
Stopped at dune for my last coffee run of our Santa Barbara trip! It was super close to our hotel so I took a walk here and it is so cute! I love how big the space is and the art on the walls is so fun. My husband got a mocha with extra espresso. Usually he goes for a caramel latte but they don't have caramel. I got an iced vanilla latte, decaf with oat milk though they did have a couple seasonal drinks that sounded good. The mocha was beautiful with the latte art. My vanilla latte was really good too! Did not have to wait long for the drinks, and the baristas were cool. Def a good stop in Goleta.

I'm currently sitting inside here doing some work. They opened right at 7:00 am which was nice. The baristas are super sweet and the place is relatively quiet which is very conducive to getting work done. I got an herbal and a cappuccino...both of which were spectacular. I recommend coming here if you need a quiet spot to do some work or just sit and relax at the start of the day.
Updated review. While i absolutely love Dune, this location has disappointed me more than a few times in the same way. My vanilla oat latte has come without the vanilla (or at least not enough to taste it). I frequent other locations plenty so I'm aware of the expectations of their drinks. I also knocked another star off because I've never been to a coffee shop that doesn't remake a wrong coffee order. The baristas squirt the vanilla syrup in my drink and send me on my way. I'm then left to stir it myself and sip a luke warm drink. So lame.
Stopped at Dune Coffee on Calle Real around 8am on a Saturday and there was no line, which is always a nice way to start the morning! Parking was super easy with a big lot, and the shop itself has a cozy but modern feel. We took our drinks to go, but there was plenty of seating both inside and outside. Between the four of us we tried the black cold brew, iced mocha lattes with oat milk, and a hot mocha latte with oat milk. Everything was good! My iced mocha was a little too chocolatey for me at first, but I added some extra oat milk and it was much better. My husband's official review of the cold brew was "good," which coming from him basically means there were no complaints lol The staff was friendly and the hot mocha was really pretty too! Good coffee, cute atmosphere, easy parking and friendly service. I'd definitely go back, but with so many coffee shops to try, I'm not ready to commit just yet! read more

Stumbled on to this place by sheer luck. For once I didn't look at Yelp for any advice or reviews, I just happened to be in the area and decided to try it out and I was glad I did. This shop has a great atmosphere and the staff is very friendly, but I think most importantly, the espresso was great! Maybe not as good as Beacon here in Ventura but still very good. The only downfall is that I am not sure when I'll be able to come back since it is all the way up in Goleta but I will for sure keep it bookmarked for next time I am in the area. read more

Good coffee shop w/ cool merch. Had a vanilla latte which was pretty decent. The only disappointment about this place was their baked goods/food isn't made in house. The pastries were from a bakery in Los Angeles, which tells me that they were either frozen or at best day old either way they weren't freshly baked. I had a burrito which the girl mentioned it was from a local place nearby and it was a huge disappointment. With that said I recommend just trying the coffee there. read more

We happened into this location, after a few rounds of bad coffee in the area. The coffee was very good. Our orders were perfect. The barista was a women and the drinks were great. We returned the next morning, to find a male barista, not engaged at all, never looked up, and the drinks reflected his disinterest. I think the place is generally good. I could recommend it, but it's hit and miss. read more
I work right nearby the Calle Real location and I love Dune coffee. I sometimes pick up coffee in the morning before work for myself & coworkers. The baked goods we have tried are delicious and fresh, the coffee is amazing and employees are friendly. I highly recommend trying this spot. read more

I have been waiting for the perfect moment to come to Dune- to try the avocado toast my bestie sings about, and a latte. For $14.50, I have both. The avocado toast is delicious. I am surprised that for $9 it is one piece of bread, but handmade bread served warm. The presentation is average. The taste is good! I am happy to see a new coffee shop in the shopping center with the bowling alley. As another reviewer highlighted, this is not exactly an ideal study space for students- no outlets and the tables are not sturdy. This is a good place to stop by for a cuppa coffee. The aspect of this location that I love: the artwork! Hand painted and eclectic- it's an automatic eye-catcher. The staff are all kind, friendly and welcoming. There is a retail area with mugs, cups, t-shirts and drip coffee filters. Dune is a locally owned coffee chain to Santa Barbara. Apple Pay accepted. read more

I came here for the first time as a quick study sesh with my friend & it was a great vibe. I was impressed with my drink-- matcha latte with oat milk, infused with Lavender. I've never had that combination but it's become my new favorite. This coffee shop is a little expensive, not that different from the price range at Starbucks. read more

There is real, delicious, house--roasted coffee in this area just North of Santa Barbara! We thanked our lucky stars when we found it and the coffee so good it doesn't need sweetener that's the real deal read more

This is such a nice cafe in Goleta with great service! They're very nice and I love their Hot Chocolate! They also offer some pastries and a variety of toasts. Lots of space for seating and there's also parking! I wish I had asked for my Ham and Cheese Croissant warmed up though as it is a bit cold but it's still tasty. read more
