Such a bummer. I haven't been here since the owners took over and the vibes are so different now. I really loved what it used to be with the surf goods and art. The music was much better then and honestly just everything about it. Wish it was like that still! I only got tea and left so i don't have a real opinion on the food and coffee. Lighthouse is hands down one of my favorite coffee spots in Santa Barbara, especially the Haley location! The coffee is consistently smooth, flavorful, and perfectly brewed. Stopped by at 9:30 Tuesday (29 Oct) and stood in line listening to the cashier chat up the patron ahead of me about how much she "loves science". Conversation took so long that i finally left. No attempt to make eye contact with me. Went back to my old coffee place (ROCO) which is ironic since the only reason I went to Lighthouse was to try something new. As someone who has worked in foodservice in Europe and across the U.S., including SB, it is import to remind the owner that I could have made my own coffee at home. Food service is inherently and uniquely a human-centric activity. Ignoring that fact means less food service jobs and a less lively city. read more

I'm glad that lighthouse took over this location from Low pigeon. The drinks are better, the service is better! They have a variety of espresso drinks-they got lavender drinks on the menu here! They have a limited amount of bites, such as empanadas and croissant. The inside is a little small but ample sitting space outside. Parking is shared with the gym next door but can park off street. They have the best dirty chai in town!!! Perfect espresso to chai to milk ratio. Not too underwhelming or overwhelming of any particular ingredient. Will differently be going back! read more

We found this place on a whim, close by to another stop we had to make. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the patio and outdoor area - how I wish I had some work to do out there to have an excuse to enjoy it longer! It is a beautiful little oasis with the smell of roasting coffee wafting around you? It sounds like a great setting for working from home (or this sweet coffee shop). Cute cafe off of State with a great patio seating area. It feels very personal and intimate, since the space inside is so small, but that's how you know you are being uniquely attended to. My date claimed they have the best espresso in town and recommends the Gibraltar, and i really enjoyed my bird's latte with oat milk. Previously the popular Low Pigeon, now the new sibling of Lighthouse Coffee Roaster's family. Thankfully quality coffee beans are still being roasted, sold and pressed here! I'm a coffee fanatic and Lighthouse makes one of my favorite espressos, which influences their stellar product of oat milk lattes. If you haven't had their mocha, you should definitely give it a try! They use unsweetened, dark cacao which is spectacular. If you're looking for a place to catch up with someone, or enjoy working outside, they have a decent size outdoor patio (and private parking lot) to take advantage of. The cherry on top, which I will continuously rave about, is that they give first responders (with proof of ID) a discount at every visit. First off I wanted to say I LOVE the people who run this coffee spot- they really are a joy to interact with. On that note; It was really unfortunate that my favorite coffee spot has management that appears to be forcing an increase in the companies monetary income by decreasing the baristas they have staffing this location. There are longer lines and longer wait times- which does not help when I am on my way to work. Usually it would be about 10 minutes to get in and out but now it takes about 15 min or more. I may need to find another coffee spot if this continues like it has this week. read more

If you're going to enjoy a cup of lighthouse coffee, this is the only location to do so and have a pleasant experience. This location has amazing staff that remembers your face and drink, they make great cups of coffee with consistency, they're very quick even when there's a couple people in line, I can't say enough good things about this location. read more

Obnoxious customer talking loudly to staff making ordering difficult. Their ceramic mugs were all being used so paper cups (we saw only 1 ceramic mug used). Communication between server and barista so poor we only got one drink served. Doesn't seem to be any difference between "for here" and "to go.".
