The are Starbucks everywhere of course, but some are better than others. This location is one of the good ones. I am surprised of the lower average stars. I have always had an excellent experience whenever I have visited. Never any issues, my drink is always perfect. I use the app to pre-order, just walk in and grab my drink or food, no waiting, all with friendly service from the employees that are happy and helpful. This is a convenient location close to downtown, close to the many hotels and just off the freeway. The staff as I said are very nice, this visit I also had a great little chat with Melissa the Manager. They have an outdoor patio, a drive thru and wide open seating inside to relax, hang out, work or whatever. The store itself is very clean and welcoming when you walk in. I recommend you check them out, use the app, save the wait, earn free treats and get a delicious drink. Let's bring up their star rating, this location has earned and deserves better ratings IMO. As a customer and uber driver who visits this establishment at least 3 times a day every day, purchasing at least 2 coffees every day, I will never tip another employee in this establishment ever again as the manager denied me a glass of water on a 90 degree day because I had purchased my coffee not even a half hour prior to asking for a glass of water. This Starbucks team was very calm and welcoming. They never failed to greet everyone who came in and pulled in through the drive thru. Even as I was standing to the side for the bathroom, an employee checked in to ask if I needed help with anything. We're on vacation and thankfully this location was nearby since my sister needed to take her final for a summer class. Even when all the chairs were taken, the ambient noise wasn't too chaotic or loud since her test was being recorded and proctored. I ordered a hot chai tea. They were accommodating when I asked for hot water refills and honey packets. Even when we ordered more drinks later and our gift card wasn't going through, the cashier was patient and willing to keep trying for us. We asked for our hydro flasks to be filled with water as well as a venti water for our uncle. The only downside was one of the two bathrooms was out of order. When I got in line at one point, the lady who walked out told me that the toilet was not flushing. read more

I found that there was quite a bit of traffic in this small parking lot that was shared with the Tractor Supply Company. Per the usual, I placed my order on the mobile app before going inside to wait for my order. Inside was pretty spacious. Once it was ready, I found an open table to eat my meal. I got a venti strawberry frap and the lady that rung me up was very sweet and great to talk to. I can't remember her name but i believe it was Espi or something but she asked me how my holidays were going and if i've tried a different variation of the strawberry frap the variation she recommended was AMAZING!! and I definitely will get it again. read more

I was not greeted by any employees while waiting at the register as a lady employee looked blankly at me while waiting for food to heat up. After about a few minutes without any interaction from staff, I decided to wait at the table and order through the app. Ordered an iced tea and a chai latte online but wanted to get a small water and 2 pup cups for my dogs. Was informed that a complimentary water had to be with an order but let them know I had already ordered through the app but that didn't count. After driving for 2 hours, I decided it was time to stop to stretch my legs, get a drink, and get back on the road. I went to order my drink and the woman helping me was nice. While I was waiting, I went to the restroom and sat down near the pickup counter. A woman was waiting near the counter and I asked her how she was. She replied saying she was fine but she had been waiting 15 minutes for her drink. I couldn't believe it. I ended up waiting around 20 minutes for my drink and it wasn't worth it. I was there for a visit to try a pumpkin spice latte, at least thats what I thought it was. When I got to Starbucks I said forget the drive-thru, it was like 10 cars in line so I went inside. What was amazing was it seemed like the customers in the drive-thru had hemorrhoids or something, they all seemed impatient and complained about everything. The bistro did whatever they could to please them by apologizing or giving them something free because you could see there was only 2 employees and the drive-thru register was down. This Starbucks is located next to the freeway and down the street from Solvang. It makes a great pit stop on the way home. The parking lot is kinda weird, but they do have a drive thru. The bathrooms were not stocked up and clean when I was there, so I'll minus a star for that. The service was OK, but it took a bit longer than usual to get our coffee. I have had the worst experience at this Starbucks you could imagine and on multiple occasions. I do not plan on going back there and would recommend others to skip this location as well! I have been bullied multiple times by Laura who calls herself the "shift supervisor". She has yelled at me, talked bad about me over her head set while the other baristas giggle, she has even purposefully made me wait longer for my items putting other orders in front of mine and telling the other girls working there "she can wait". One morning I was in the drive thru and I heard the am supervisor talking over the drive thru speaker thinking her microphone was off and saying the man behind me in line was "creepy, ugly, and short", when I confronted her about it and said everyone heard her over the loud speaker she just said "Oh I'm venting because we get so many stalkers here" what a terribly embarrassing situation for that poor guy! I don't understand how it is acceptable to take a customer's money and abuse them while you're just trying to get coffee, Nevermind good customer service the baristas in there are the worst representation I have ever seen! I have been "mean girled" by them, for lack of better words, too many times I will not go back! The manager of this Starbucks needs to take some responsibility for the conduct of their employees and raise their standards. Either clean house or close their doors.
