Dirt road chai and matcha latte
    Anthony L.

Heading to San Diego from the Central Coast requires a good start with good coffee. And Zaca delivers that in spades. They roast their own beans and it's pretty tasty. The locals support this business very well and the staff are passionate about their work. I ordered a "dirt road chai latte". One of the best dirty chais I've had in a while. I almost went home with a bag of their beans. And I may need to order it online when I coffee supplies run low. Definitely try the coffee and have a bagel!

    Pumpkin spice cold brew

We were visiting Buellton for a friend's wedding and decided to get some coffee before checking into our hotel. Looked up some local coffee shops and found this place on Yelp and it had pretty good reviews. First off, staff members and location were great. Friendly service, helpful staff members. Location was decorated nicely, clean, spacious, nice ambiance. So this is why I rated this a 4 stars. The coffee itself was ok, not the best that I've had. We both got their special which is a pumpkin cold brew with a cute ghost drawn in the cup. The cold brew tasted water down, not much flavor in it.

This was a lovely place to stop & grab some coffee. They've done such a great job transforming the space from its previous tenant (a bakery). The space is open & bright with plenty of seating. I tried their pistachio decaf latte, which was excellent. There's no bitter aftertaste like you find with some espressos. This is a great place to have some coffee/snacks and just relax or try and get some work done. The servers were friendly, courteous, and efficient.

    Llama Latte, almond croissant

Prior to the opening of the shop, I had tried some Zaca lattes at their trailer cafe! When I heard they were opening an actual cafe in town, I was excited to give try it out. I admittedly was a little delayed in making this review! I've stopped a couple of times and gotten to try their lattes as well as some of the baked goods. From a savory standpoint, the spinach feta egg empanada hits the spot! For a sweet tooth, their almond croissant has a perfect balance of everything. For drink, I tend to lean towards an iced latte! I'll get a flavor if I'm feeling fun but otherwise enjoy a regular latte :) They have lots of seats inside and outside which makes it nice to sit back and enjoy your treat. If you're thinking about stopping by, do it! Make sure to arrive a bit early if you want to ensure all the goodies are there for choice.

Stopped quick to check out new spot for Zaca Coffee on our way heading out of Buellton back to Santa Barbara. Highly recommend this experience. Great space, friendly staff and real coffee flavor coffee. Space is roomy, warm, welcoming, and plenty of choices. Love that their Americano has a wonderful rich coffee flavor without any after burnt taste. We will stop again next time we are in Buellton for that caffeine kick. Don't forget to check out the cute merchandise and grab a pound to go. Shop locally.

Latte and fresh blueberry muffin. Delicious!!!

I had a coffee and my wife had a Chai Latte. Both were fantastic. Super friendly staff and a really great location. My blueberry muffin was delicious, highly recommended!

Cortado and banana nut muffin delightful
    Natalie A.

Cortado (expreso with small amount of milk) served up with coffee art. I substituted milk with oat milk and it was delicious. Banana nut muffin delightful in taste - not terribly sweet and enjoyable at room temperature. Several tables and couches to relax in conversation and drink coffee from local spot.

Iced vanilla latte and sausage and egg empanada

Came in on a Sunday morning with my friend for a coffee and snack. We both got the iced vanilla latte and it was good. I wish the coffee flavor was stronger because the coffee is so good but it did its job. We shared a sausage and egg empanada and it was so delicious! It came with a creamy yet spicy sauce and also a flavorful chimichurri. My friend and I loved it! Every bite was flavorful and delicious, I would definitely get that again. The barista was friendly and helpful and also parking was super easy, we were able to pull right up to the front. Standard coffee shop ambiance, friendly vibes all around. I will be back.

Bagel with honey from their ranch.

Nice cozy local's coffeehouse just off the main drag in Buellton. They didn't have any jam for my toasted everything bagel, so they offered me honey FROM THEIR OWN RANCH! Yum. They raise llamas and alpacas! AND roast their own coffee. A good stop.

Yummy coffee, cute shop, and very friendly staff! There is a Starbucks across the street, but just go to Zaca - it's much better! I stopped in just after opening and there were no other customers, so i had a chance to chat with the young gal that was making my coffee. I didn't catch her name, unfortunately, but she was a doll and pointed me in the right direction for a few things to do while I was in town for the day! Definately give this place at try!

    Dirt Road Chai Latte

My girlfriends and I went to Zaca Coffee every morning on a recent trip to Buellton/Solvang. I got the Dirt Road Chai Latte all four mornings! The gals behind the counter were very friendly; we all enjoyed the comfy seating area.

The best coffee in town. I highly recommend this local. If you have time have the coffee there . Service was excellent. Ambiance was incredible. I love the holiday atmosphere.

I found this place on social media and knew I had to try it, especially the "egg in a jar" with purple potatoes and toast soldiers (I can never resist a purple potato or a fun name). The space is small and charming with plenty of outdoor parking. They have a lovely outdoor dining area with lots of seating. You order inside at the counter, get a number, and they bring everything out to you. The menu is full of delicious, bready dishes, and I loved that they offer a wide selection of coffee drinks -- even matcha. You can find macchiatos, cortados, and more here. We ordered the egg in a jar with toast soldiers, a baguette sandwich, a matcha latte, a cappuccino, and of course a chocolate croissant to go as a sweet treat for the road. If I could afford the calories of eating bread every day, I'd be here daily. Every bread item we tried was incredible. The croissant was buttery and flaky, exactly as it should be. The baguette sandwich had the perfect balance of crunch and softness. And the toast soldiers were the ideal size and texture for scooping up the cheesy, creamy, eggy goodness in the jar. We visited on a Monday and it wasn't too busy. Staff was very friendly. If I lived closer, I'd be grabbing fresh bread from here all the time. A must‑stop for any bread lover exploring the area.

The potatoes were rich and comforting, topped with a perfectly poached egg and crispy bacon that blended together in every bite. It was grilled beautifully with great flavor and texture, and it was perfect for scooping up every last bite. I also had to try some of the baked goods before leaving, and they were just as impressive as the savory food. You can really taste the care and quality in everything they make. The service was efficient and straightforward. It wasn't overly warm or chatty, but it also wasn't unfriendly. They seemed focused on getting orders out quickly and keeping things moving. The ambiance really made the experience even better. We sat on the covered outdoor patio, which was comfortable and inviting. There is also plenty of uncovered outdoor seating, while the indoor space is limited to one large communal table. The patio is definitely the way to go. This place has high reviews for a reason. The food is truly amazing, thoughtful, flavorful, and absolutely worth the visit. I will definitely be back
