This was already me and my wife's second time back here since she moved to Santa Maria for school. Why support Starbucks, Dunkin' or any of these other main stream coffee spots when we can support a small POC owned business? Went out for a girls day with a friend, stopped here because we wanted coffee but something other than the usual franchise. Once we got here the atmosphere was so nice, the atmosphere was so unique and fresh, the music they played was playful and upbeat. It was loud enough to enjoy but quiet enough to speak and hear at a normal level. The coffee was so good! I had Cafe en las rocas, but their other combinations looked so good I gotta come back. Lovely Mexican coffee shop with delicious lattes. Their decor is very cute and culturally inspired, giving the shop a cozy homey vibe. I went on a weekday morning around 9am and their service was a little slow despite there being only 4 other customers. But it's understandable because everything is made fresh. I tried their iced horchata latte and it was so yummy, it tasted just like agua fresca. I also tried the bag of their panecitos and they were all so moist. We tried a few pan dulces, muffin, dulce de leche hot drink (similar to a Carmel macchiato) vanilla iced coffee, horchata iced coffee, hot coffee, and the mexicano mocha frappe. All were great. The horchata is bomb. It's cold and it's rich. The artist did an amazing job with their murals here. Fun photo opp and all 3 workers we experienced were amazing. They were so helpful patient and kind. (There is so many new flavors to try) One male cashier even helped me with my video for fun and let me film the process. He was nervous about his English being not so good and I reassured him that, that was totally okay and he was doing a great job. :) will be returning, rather than wasting $8 on Starbucks that I would get out of convenience. The staff on both days were super friendly and offered great suggestions on drinks. I tried the horchata frappe the 1st day and it was delicious, the club sandwich was huge and tasty.
