I've been coming to Cup and Crumbs for years, even before they closed in 2023. Since reopening, this has once again become one of my favorite brunch spots. I've always enjoyed the friendly service and cozy atmosphere here. I've ordered a few paninis, and the Texan Turkey is the one I keep coming back to. My other favorite is the bacon, egg, and cheese jalapeño bagel. They are simple sandwiches, but they really deliver on flavor and great sauces. They also have brunch food but we only stopped in for to-go coffee so this review will only cover that. First off, Old Town Orcutt is extremely homey and cute. You really feel like you're in a movie and everyone is super nice. We stopped in for coffee before heading back to LA mid morning on a Monday. We were immediately greeted once we entered. There's a pretty extensive menu for coffee and there was a counter lined with tons of baked goods like scones, buns, etc. I ordered a hot latte and my boyfriend got a cold brew. Both items were really tasty and served quickly. I was so disappointed that I totally overlooked the fact that they have a seasonal iced coffee flight! I'm always down for a flight of anything but there's no way I could drink all that plus my latte so I'll leave it for next time. My review of this after it has reopened. Ooph I had a pumpkin latte today and sadly it's the worse one I've had yet. I didn't think a pumpkin coffee can taste bad. There wasn't a seasonal menu. I asked about a pastry , as far as what was made from , but the person didn't seem to know much. So I didn't buy it. I LOVE Cups and Crumbs! I actually deleted my Starbucks app ever since I've found this place. The owner is super sweet and she knows all her regulars by name! I used to absolutely love Cups and Crumbs--it was one of my favorite spots when it first opened! The food was always fresh, generous, and full of flavor. Sadly, since the ownership change, it just hasn't been the same. The avocado toast, for example, now comes with such a thin layer of avocado that it's barely noticeable, and the "bacon" doesn't taste real or fresh. I also tried their chai latte, and while I know everyone has different preferences, it was overwhelmingly sweet for my taste. I really want to support this place and see it thrive again, but I hope the new team considers bringing back the quality and portions that made it special in the first place. Five stars for the amazing staff. It was early, so it was quiet. They let me sweet dog and I sit outside on the patio. I had an almond croissant and an almond milk latte. Both were yummy. Apparently on Wednesday's the nearby schools have a late start, so it was packed with school kids, but one of the employees came up to us in line and sat us at an outdoor table. So she advised to not come early on Wednesday's, we went around 8:30 and it was pretty packed. But even give. The volume, we got our food and drinks pretty quickly. The apple pie crepes were so good!! I think the best crepes I've ever had. Does get a little sweet towards the end, but I didn't mind that. Great if you have a sweet tooth. The inside of the crepe was filled with a Carmel custard, and topped with cinnamon apples. Overall very good. The custard made it actually filling, and added a really nice texture. Finally made it to this place! Henny Penny crepes- so the flavor combos are classic and all the flavor is there. The side of pesto and the lemon really makes everything pop. The big downside to me were the actual crepes. I think they were too thick which made them a little tougher than I would've liked. Otherwise, spot on and delicious. Had a great morning breakfast here! I think it's a great addition to the Old Orcutt community and everyone was friendly. Our group enjoyed several items off the menu, with the open faced eggs Benedict bagel being a winner! The Nutty Butter (I think it's called) with chai, peanut butter and banana was incredibly delicious and I would come here for that alone. My avocado toast was a good thick slice of sourdough, but I added a little salt and pepper to taste. Heard a ton about this place and finally decided to check it out. I think this is my new favorite spot in the Santa Maria Valley. It's an adorable spot in Old Orcutt, clean/trendy and busy! Their menu is AFFORDABLE and their food is delicious. Seriously, it is fresh and DELICIOUS. I also love that I'm not spending half my salary for a meal and some coffee. Ordered a breakfast burrito which was excellent. Avocado toast was delicious and had three Pastries! Don't judge..I wanted to provide a fair review . The coffee crumb cake was delicious, I had some type of fudge Carmel bar, a lemon bar and an oatmeal bar! All were excellent. I can't wait to try the other items on their menu. I would give five stars to their baked goods and their avocado toast! I absolutely love the sunrise one. The service is pretty good as well. Only problem is that it IS supposed to be a coffee shop. The coffee has never been great, and every time I've asked a "server" (they do table service, which maybe they shouldn't) what kind of coffee they use they always seem confused by the question. I've never had a consistent coffee there. Either the syrups change, the coffee just generally tastes bad or there is some sort of inconsistency with the drink. Get some good beans and bring someone in to train!
