This Starbucks location is great. The employees are always friendly, very knowledgeable and very accommodating if they have made a mistake or you have made an error when ordering. The inside is very small, but typically this is more of a drive-through or pick up order type of a location. There are places to sit inside as well as a patio area outside. The drive-through line goes quickly, even if there is a line of cars. Any coffee, tea or food item I have gotten has always been very tasty. Sometimes they have forgotten to add the chocolate shavings or sprinkle coconut whatever it happens to be on the top of the drinks like had been requested but really nothing terrible to complain about. Issues happen. But how you speak to customers about them matter. We ordered a mobile order in the middle of a road trip and came to pick it up. We were waiting in the lobby for the order when a manager came up to us (us first, when there were plenty of people sitting and drinking their coffee) and said we have a plumbing issue, I'm going to have to ask you to leave. There were waaaay better ways to communicate that message. On top of that, I didn't get my order and was charged. Another reason to make Starbucks a thing of the past. Horrible experience. read more

Drove up to Orcutt/Santa Maria from Orange County and exited the freeway and ran in here to use the restroom, grab a strawberry acai refresher and check work e-mails. I used the app to order and my drink was ready by the time I arrived. Their restroom is clean and I don't recall needing a code to get in. Went to plug in my laptop charger in the outlet under the benched seating on the west side of the store and there was no charge coming through. I thought maybe my charger cord wasn't working but a few hours later I plugged it into the outlet at my hotel and it worked just fine. Not sure if this location is also removing their outlets or if the outlet I chose wan't working. Overall, great pit stop if you're on a road trip! read more

Have visited this store since its opening - for years 3x a week, but won't be returning. The reason? The current manager seems to believe that, at 6:15am, it is a club with music at decibel levels that make conversation impossible. Me and my buddy have each politely requested that the volume be reduced to permit conversation to no avail. The manager agrees and then simply does nothing. Drive- through & pickup? No problem. This is a run of the mill sbux but the waits are always long and not worth it for me. Spent a half an hour waiting on 2 lattes inside. Last time my husband used the drive-thru and also spent over 20 mins waiting to order (he only got drip coffee). This location doesn't allow pre-orders which would be a game-changer imo. On 6/13 @ roughly 840am, I went through the drive through, I specifically ordered a VENTI BS oat milk shaken espresso with cold foam. $7.20 Got up to the window, paid, then was handed a TALL drink. Wtf I've NEVER nor would I EVER, order myself a tall. Ever. I said, oh I ordered a venti. The SUPER RUDE lady with the headset on, proceeded to look at her computer and tell me I was wrong, and that was what I ordered. I've never had anyone at this store be so awful to their customers. I then said "so I paid $7.20 for THAT!?! (Basically a small cup of ice) & she said uhh, yeah that's what you got. She then asked if I wanted to order something else. I said NOPE it's fine. Thanks. AND the drink tasted awful. Anyone else would've apologized and made you the right drink. Not argue with you. Never have I ever. I will never return. However, my trusty Yelp app told me the nearest Starbucks was a mile off the freeway. Well, I listened. Cute little town with all kinds of stuff. From an Albertson's (they also have a mini Starbucks inside), to fast food, gas, banks, etc. A new drive-thru Starbucks (with the new design) is on the main corner of the main drag. Love the NEW starbucks in Orcutt. Long-awaited and well-received! It's a long rectangle with a limited amount of seating. This is made for the drive-thru. I wish they had the Clover system BUT they do have the Nitro Cold Brew so that's cool. Come try it out! read more

I love coming to this location for a pick me up after work and I always get great service from the employees. But I've noticed recently a few of the employees serving customers and likely making drinks with cold and flu like symptoms. Obviously this isn't food safe and if it's clear to me-it should be clear to the management of this Starbucks. It makes me wonder whether the employees' health is being prioritized by the management, and why the employees are not being sent home at the earliest notice of illness. I have also witnessed the same manager with a bob yelling at employees in front of customers. Not a good look. read more

Not sure why the hours are ADVERTISED as open until 8:30 when they lock their doors at 730 pm and there's two employees just sitting there on their phones with their headphones in. One even saw me and gave me half-smile while the other pretended to ignore me, probably hoping I wouldn't want something. Don't go here. If they can't be consistent with their business hours as they have them listed online then I'd imagine for a Starbucks they aren't consistent with much else. Tried and true. I visit the area on occasion over the years, and when I need to start my day early, they've always been there for me with quick and consistent coffee. I've even recently come to use their drive through on cold mornings. I once derided coffee drive throughs, but I now see the light and believe I can't live without. The only drive up Starbucks in Orcutt (the other location is in the Alberstons) across the street. The store is always clean, and the service is friendly. The parking situation is crazy, but given the location I feel they make the most of it. Imagine tons of giant SUV parents stampeding for morning coffee. If you are short on time use the mobile ordering app. If you are coming off of Hwy 101 this is an easy bail off 101 down Clark rd. for a coffee fix next to a few gas stations for a quick fill up. read more

This Starbucks is horrible! The service is incredibly slow! The staff is dysfunctional and rude. They don't have your order ready when it should be and there is no apologies for the ridiculous amount of time it takes them to make your drink. It's with the drive to go to another Starbucks in town or to a local coffee shop. The boy with the plug earrings is especially lacking in customer service, is rude and has a bad attitude. I go to this starbucks nearly every day, today I went for the first day of the holiday season excited to try the drinks and of course I finally ran into one rude girl, must be new because I've never seen her before. Some girl with tattoos and darker hair. I just walked in because the drive through line was to long. Here's why the line was so long. The two gentlemen working the window were told by supervisor they need to be faster at the window. They were waiting for a female employee to make a cup of foam for a customers dog. I watched her hand feed the dog through the window while the other staff served four people in lobby including myself. Once the vehicle left the drive through it parked and the female employee left her job to go out to the parking lot to once again hand feed the dog and to hold the dog. The supervisor never apologized to the two young gentlemen and she did not do or say anything to the female employee. I like this store and would have given them a 5 star except for this incident. read more
