I ordered a custom lemon cake with strawberry filling (instead of raspberries), and the entire experience was a disappointment from start to finish. The owner was surprisingly rude throughout the process, which already set the tone, but the cake itself was even worse. The presentation was awful, truly nothing like what was promised. And unfortunately, it tasted exactly how it looked: dry, unbalanced, and just... yuk. For a custom order, the quality was beyond unacceptable. I expected care, flavor, and professionalism, and received none of the above. This review was necessary. I would not recommend this bakery for custom cakes. And the cost was over the top! $60. Smh! I wouldn't mind if it was worth it. Gina's Piece of Cake is my normal go to, but they weren't taking any more orders. Probably due to Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. Ordered a custom birthday cake for my son's 8th Birthday and I couldn't have been more dissatisfied with the result. Besides the atrocious price for what was produced, this has to have been the most low effort cake that this bakery had ever created, based on their advertised cakes from their website. They took their standard cake, slapped a few yellow rings on it, and called it a "Knuckles" cake. I provided the Knuckles toy for the top of the cake, and I think they used that as a crutch for their lack of enthusiasm and creativity. So, if you're in the area for a standard quality cake, I'd highly suggest Albertsons across the street. At least you'll get what you paid for. read more

Unfortunately I went too late in the day to get all of the delicious treats but I did manage to snag a raspberry chocolate cupcake, red velvet, chocolate chip cookie, and Brookfield (brownie/cookie combo). Cupcake was moist and light, ratio of frosting good with good consistency. The sign on the building is small and difficult to stand-out due to design. The location is in a strip mall and nothing on the door or window is eye catching, so it may be easy to overlook this place. The interior is clean if not a little sparse. I came in an hour before closing but it was pretty minimal on what they had to sell in the displays but everything was well presented. I ordered a cake for my son's 8th birthday in Heaven. I went in a week beforehand and talked with the male owner and showed him pictures and described what I wanted. He assured me it would be no problem and asked me to email the pictures I showed him and any others I found. I emailed him the pictures I showed him that day, plus 4 or 5 more. I never heard back, so 2 days before I was going to pick up the cake I called to check what time I could get it. ( Just to make sure things were on track since I never heard anything.) He said everything was great and I could pick it up between 11 and closing. The day I picked it up ( My son's birthday), the wife was the person out front, she never greeted me and I pointed at what seemed like what might be my cake in the refrigerator and said I was there to pick up my cake. She walked over to it, put it in a box, asked if I needed help carrying it out ( a 2-tiered cake!?), then walked away. Mind you, there was no lid on the box, and my hands were full of my car keys, wallet and the '8' candle I had just purchased. Yeah, guess I got this? Through all my tears, the rudeness of this lady, and trying to figure out how I was going to transport this cake, I didn't notice until I got to my final location and could really take a good look at the cake that it wasn't really what I had asked for or what was discussed with the husband or in the pictures I sent. Hopefully it at least tasted good. I cut a slice, up to the cardboard between the tiers anyway ( why it was still in there, who knows ‍), and the disappointment quickly set in. Then I took a bite. Had they made the cake the say I ordered it and it had been in that refrigerator for a week? Did they just forget to simple syrup the cakes? They were dry as the Sahara. It was supposed to be a coconut cake with lemon curd or lemon custard inside. It was a white cake with lemon buttercream. I even said in my email, cream cheese frosting inside would be great, I'm willing to pay extra, I don't like any other frosting! I was so sad. My baby passed away, I was sobbing when I ordered the cake, trying to compose myself, I told them in person and in the email this was so important to me and just needed it to be right for his birthday and no one could even bother to contact me to ask questions? Really? It took me 5 days to even be able to post this. I'm not surprised by the negative feedback they have gotten and I wish I had looked at it beforehand. I just thought I would support a small business during these difficult times. Guess I will research a little better next time. read more

If you want cheesecake minis avoid these!!! The cookies and cake pops were good but I can't say the same about the cheesecake cupcake size portions. I ordered one of them and couldn't even take the wrapper off should have use the foil kind instead of the paper kind abs they wouldn't have stuck so bad. Also the Grahm cracker crusts when you finally were able to get to it was a powdery mess they did not put enough butter to bind it into a crust. I would not recommend cheesecake from them but their cookies are moist and chewy and cake pops are kid approved. I have not purchased cake from them so I don't really know what their cake is like. Also I forgot to add the lady there was rude like as if we were doing her no favor shopping there. Have had cupcakes from here before that were good, then ordered a pumpkin cheesecake for Thanksgiving that was delicious! Also, I didn't sleep well the night before and missed our pick-up time. I tried this place due to the many 5star reviews. I was hoping for it to be good so I have a go-to place for cupcakes. The presentation was mouthwatering and pretty to look at. Big disappointment though, the red velvet and vanilla cupcakes were so hard and dry. Heated it up for 30 seconds and it was still hard then added another extra 30 seconds. Finally it was soft, but still very much on the dry side. They probably left the cupcakes in for too long. However, the brownies were semi-good, but hard on the outer parameters. I prefer brownies and cupcakes to be soft and moist all around. I wanted to give this place 1 star, but I'm feeling kind today. If you're looking for moist cupcakes then I don't recommend this place. read more
