Ice cream: 3.5. Came by after dinner at The Swiss Restaurant. Place was busy just after 7 when we arrived. I ordered their Twix Caramel Crunch. Never had it before but decided to try it. I had it on a cone but probably better in a cup since it was soft with the caramel. Flavor was good. Service was friendly and efficient. read more

Nice staff. Yummy ice cream! There were three employees scooping ice cream at about 830 on a Saturday night. Moderately busy and they were friendly and keeping up with the line. I like the consistency in the flavors at BR, you pretty much know what's going to be in those buckets. Clean restaurant. A few tables and chairs inside. I think I recall a table outside, too. Small parking lot, next to an insurance company, that was fortunately closed. We had four cars in our group and there were other customers, too. Very steep incline in front to get in the lot. New Corvettes will scrape, even at an angle. When we left, we were able to exit in an alley in the back. read more

We ordered the small hot fudge sundaes and they weren't very good. We need a good ice cream shop!!

More bang for the buck. Really great ice cream makes life worth living! We were going to another place tonight but the prices where high for the portions where small so we ended up at an old reliable. All my favorite flavors in one cup. Yum. read more

Long time fan of B&R, though I rarely get here. We stopped in for some "nostalgia" and were not disappointed. I got two scoops in a cup: Gold Medal Ribbon and PB & Chocolate. Love that they haven't tinkered with the recipe over the years, because the flavors were exactly as I remembered them. Next time I'll remember to get junior-sized scoops, as the regular-size was just too much. Lastly, this store was clean, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Cheers! RS read more

The custom photo cake you made for my brother's birthday is beautiful - far exceeding my expectations. When he came in to pick it up yesterday, your incredible team made him feel special and happy. In addition to serving fantastic ice cream that we've enjoyed for the past 45 years, you also create joy for your customers. Thank you to everyone in corporate for preserving a brand that is an important part of American childhood. And a very big THANK YOU to the Santa Maria store for making my brother's birthday extra special read more

This place is a rip off. They advertise 31% off on the 31st of any month. When you go in, they require a coupon in the app. I've got the app, but they don't provide any internet access, so the app won't open, and you cannot get the deal. They KNOW they don't have internet, yet do nothing to help their loyal (or now formerly loyal) customers. Easy fix: management could print out the coupon to scan, and if you show you have the app, they could scan their copy of it. It's always done problem in there. My solution is to just NOT GO BACK. read more

Blanca and Jackie are just fantastic! They are always so kind and friendly, and make going here a pleasure. It's people like them, that keep a business thriving. Thank you so much for making BR a place for us to really enjoy. read more

I ordered a classic celebration ice cream cake for my friends birthday party. Their online ordering system made it easy to see all the options, customize it with colors and birthday message, decide pickup date and time. There was also a $3 off coupon for orders over $15! All in all, the cake was good and the birthday girl was really happy. The one problem that I had with the order was, when I got there to pick it up she told me there was no writing on it. I was slightly disappointed because I had ordered a specific birthday message and color that was all included. But then I was confused because instead of asking me to wait a moment to write on it, she asked if I still wanted the writing on it...? Yes, I do, because that is how I ordered it over a week ago. After asking her if she could write on it she went to the back and finished it up and I was on my way. (Note: the picture of the cake has holes in it because this was after she blew out the candles) read more

Since BR is just up the street from my aunt and uncle's house and because we love ice cream, we often stop in for a treat. On Sunday we stopped in on our way back from Avila. My son and daughter in law selected two pre-packed quarts and my nephew got a scoop of vanilla on a regular cone. Quick and easy! read more

Please require all customers to fully cover their mouth and nose. Receiving their order doesn't give them the green light to eat their ice cream while they are still inside paying. You had a couple in there doing exactly that. 1 of them was coughing and didn't have her nose covered. Both took of their masks off while paying and started to eat their ice cream. You don't know who has COVID or not. PLEASE!!!! Tell your customers to keep their masks on!!!! read more

I went here on Father's Day to treat my guy to his favorite Ice Cream when a black BMW pulled up and young female walked inside behind the counter then came back outside where there were about 5 families including mine waiting to enter in to order. She closed the door on us said we are closed we are out of icecream. I and my children went to the open front door and seen there was plenty of ice cream, cones, materials, etc. I then asked why are they closing their sign days they are open until 10 and its only 920, she said its just too crazy in here so we are closing. I said you can't do that, she said actually we can close whenever we want the owner said. As we we waited in line everything seemed fine the line was long but there were 3 workers who seem to be handling the workload just fine. I have never experienced such unprofessional immaturity from a place of business especially from a business that is well known throughout the country. I very disappointed. read more

I took.my family to B&R to get my favorite, Cherry Jubilee on Father's day after leaving the movie theater. We were waiting patiently for about 10-15 mins before we made it to the door around 9:00 Sunday night. While waiting, I watched employees switch out empty tubs with full tubs of ice cream. At that point, a lady drives up walks in grab the keys then walked over to the entrance door, stared at me and told us B&R has run out of ice cream then let the couple in front if me enter then locked the door...leaving about 10 potential customers high and dry. read more

Keeping Santa Maria a place where families can go is why I love this Baskin Robbins. It's a great spot to take kids for an afternoon treat. Plus it does help that it's open during this wild time. The flavors are always so good. My kids loved the themed ice cream cups! Made it such a pleasant experience. The parking at this particular location is a little troublesome but otherwise manageable. read more

This place is a waste of time. They go over board with the covid 19 guidelines and only having one person at time. Santa Barbara County policy is three people at a time for small businesses. Then when you waited in line for 15 minutes, they give you the lame excuse that the machines are down and we are only taking cash now, driving 13 people away who have been waiting for a very long time. People should not feel bad for businesses with poor common senses and horror customers service if they go out of business. No wonder why people are going to cold stone and Doc Bernstein. read more

I came in Monday night around 9 The mocha blasts are always great ! I come there for theses constantly to feed my addiction for them, for once I got a pint of ice cream to take home and when the guy filled it I was really dissapointed. I know how to fill a pint I work at an Ice cream parlor in arroyo grande so I know how to pack a pint full and the pint that was packed for me was definatley not worth $5 bucks sadly dissapointed :( I feel like I got ripped off also the staff was not friendly and this is normal when I come in which is usually once a week. The same girl that worked Monday night is rude and makes you feel like you can't even have a chance to look at the menu, the guy was not friendly. Also I was trying to order and they looked at some person they knew that came in and were watching him while my husband and I were trying to order read more

Good ice cream but over priced. Just go to Rite Aid and get their Thrifty brand. Tastes exactly the same, specialty the mint chip.

This icecream has been a staple since I was a kid. I prefer it to Doc Bernsteins in the Village. I picked up an ice cream cake for my sisters baby shower and the way they decorate them is so cute! I do wish they would change up the flavors more often. read more

Most times I would say great place but tonight 6/19/2016 Father's Day. Get here at 945 only to get nothing but attitude and dishes slamming around like but to threaten us to never come back because you want to close early. Well tell you what I would fire the two girls working that night. You need better customer service skills because you are rude and impolite. I will come back everyday 15 minutes before you close just to piss you off. Thanks for not so great service! read more

Had good and bad experiences coming here. I come often and buy 2 hand packed quarts at a time. This last time they really skimped one of the quarts and it weighed about 4 oz less than it should. Not sure what I did to piss the guy off but he really seemed like he hated his job tonight. I usually tip well but probably not again with this type of service. read more
