Known them for over 10 years and we are still closer than ever. Great folks to cheer me up and speak life into me when I'm feeling low! After service we decided to come here which was closing at 10pm and we arrived around 920. The two ladies seem to be in a rush to close and get out. They weren't to friendly and seem to be closing way to early. But the yogurt was delicious and the stuff to put on was nice. Made me think of my daughter and her mother from the times we went. But the ambiance wasn't so pretty had 3 tables inside and chairs. Some seats outside. But I'd like to go again in the day time to see if the energy feels the same. I asked the employees some questions about the candy and they were really short. So that's why I gave it a 3. But there are plenty of parking in the parking lot Now it's the light skin dragon blasting off looking for another review to leave all my yelp friends. And yelp elite please stop playing with me. Why am I not elite haha

Cash only! If you…read morehave never had the paletas (pronounced pah-LE-tahs) which are Mexican ice cream and popsicles from the men who walk around the neighborhoods with their ice boxes on wheels and bells, well, you have been missing out. Paletas are flavored in two styles: milk-based (leche) and water or fruit juice only based (agua). So, depending on the flavor like strawberry (fresa), you will find one in both varieties. This store makes their own paletas and also feature Mexican drinks of all kinds like Agua de Horchata and Limon (lime). You will also notice other snacks prepared here so looks at the whole menu and check out what you people ordering. Need a suggestion? Brush up on your Spanish from high school and try either the Fresa de Leche (strawberry paleta made with milk) or the Mexican chocolate one! Wow!!

I've probably been to Cold Stone about once or twice a month for years now, and I honestly feel…read morelike the customer service has gotten better over time, especially from the owner. He always greets customers, and to be honest, he makes the best ice cream. No shade to the younger employees, but he's been doing this for so long that he's really mastered the craft. Whenever I see he's making my order, I know it's going to be perfect. I order the same thing every single time: Surrender to Strawberry, but I substitute the strawberry ice cream for Sweet Cream and always add extra cake. If you've never tried it that way, you're missing out! My only minor complaint is that sometimes when I pay for extra cake, it doesn't really feel like I get much more than the normal serving. I've been to Cold Stone locations all over the West Coast, and some of them really load it up when you pay for the extra cake. Lately I've been ordering online because by the time I get there, it's been sitting in the freezer a little longer and is extra frozen, which I actually like. The younger employees aren't rude or anything. They're just a little more quiet and awkward compared to the owner, who always makes an effort to greet people. He definitely leads by example. I've been coming here ever since the days when the store had that infamous sewage smell around 2020, and honestly, it never stopped me from coming. I remember it being a big topic of conversation back then, and every once in a while I swear I catch a tiny hint of that smell and it takes me right back. Either way, I'm really glad Orcutt has a Cold Stone because it's one of my favorite places to grab ice cream. My only wish is that they stayed open just a little later, but that's a small complaint. I'll definitely keep coming back

Their ice cream is good, I liked the texture/consistency of it more here than some of the other ice cream shops in town. The only thing I do not like from here and would not recommend is their esquite (corn cups). I have tried them twice here and both times there is a lot of water in the cup from the corn, and I do not like that it mixes with the cream and basically becomes soup. Only the top looks nice, but once you get a few spoon fulls off the top you see the water right away. You are better off getting it from the corn men that walk around with their little carts, they always drain the corn well. The limón ice cream is definitely good for those that want something more refreshing or not too sweet. The tequila flavor is interesting. The cappuccino flavor is definitely good for coffee lovers and it is actually quite strong.
