this is my go-to viet spot in the city. my friends love their pho, but i'm not much of a soup person so i go for the vermicelli noodle bowl. it's a very casual place, you seat yourself and they have large tables to accommodate big parties. the waitstaff were very patient with my large party and our decision making. we got the dumplings to share. i always get my chicken vermicelli bowls with a side of peanut sauce, although i fear they thought i wanted to replace the normal sauce with that. i ended up dumping the residual dumpling sauce and the peanut sauce into my vermicelli bowl and it was delicious! everything was super fresh and even though i ate the entire massive noodle bowl i didn't feel weighed down afterwards. next time i go i will surely try the banh mi and the fresh garden rolls.

Stopped in because I was craving Vietnamese. I splurged and got a pork banh mi and grilled pork platter as well. Both were a sizable portion and hit the spot. The ambiance is sort of "hole in the wall" if you will and the service is serviceable but not exceptional. I've had their pho years back and it was good. Definitely checks the box for a Vietnamese craving!

The pho was amazing! I ordered a small brisket pho. It was rich and flavorful. It was warm and inviting. The toppings were fresh too and plenty for the perfect bowl. The crab rangoons were wonderful, crispy, golden, hot and tasty with the sweet chili sauce. I forgot to take a picture of the garden rolls (with shrimp only) before I ate them. They were plump, fresh, and neatly rolled. The peanut sauce was rich, thick and topped with pieces of peanuts. The service was great as always! We're always welcomed by staff when we come in and they come to check on us often. 09/23: I went back this weekend and took a photo of the garden rolls!

I'm in love with the beef broth they make for the pho here. Most places have dilute broth, but the broth here is rich, flavorful, and delicious. The spices they add into it complement it so well. Whenever I want Vietnamese food in Baltimore, this is the first restaurant I think of. I get their combo special pho and it's always delicious. I wish they added a little more meat for the price, but otherwise it's great. I also like their garden rolls, which taste very fresh. The peanut sauce they give is sweet, thick, and packed with flavor. Service is friendly and there is ample seating. I think it's the perfect place to hangout with friends.

Soft tofu and veggie pho in veggie broth

It's been too long since I've been to Indochine. They shut down a few years ago after a fire and then Covid hit shortly after so they've had a tough couple years. The inside is pretty straightforward with a few tables and a takeout counter. I remembered their fried rice being absolutely incredible. I was sad to see that it's no longer on the menu. They do have a rice platter with a choice of meat which is just plain jasmine rice with some veggies on the side. I ordered one of these with chicken and it was pretty good. Not as good as how I remember the fried rice being but the chicken was really well seasoned and you could tell it had been marinated generously. The pho was delicious as well. I'm not a pho connoisseur necessarily - I was very satisfied with the serving size and the flavors - but I've heard others say you can find better pho elsewhere. I got the soft tofu and veggie pho which came with rice noodles and plenty of fixings like basil, lime, and other toppings. At each table they have some red hot sauce and brown savory sauce you can add into your pho. I added a little bit of both and it was even better! I'd definitely return for more. The pho was enough to have leftovers (which the server recommended we eat that same night if possible) and it was a filling treat for a cold night. I probably wouldn't order the rice platter again since it just made me miss the fried rice dish even more. Maybe I'll try the spring rolls next time!

Grilled chicken banh mi 10/10 So flavorful and the bread is perfect.

Are you in Baltimore city craving delicious viet food? Indochine is the ONLY place you can go that won't disappoint you, and we have become instant regulars. Their food is consistently awesome. Chicken and beef pho were both excellent. Nice clear broth great flavor, good portion. Noodles nice texture with chew to them. The grilled pork over vermicelli was amazing. Nice hint of char flavor on the pork. It's authentic and tasty get it!

Ordered from door dash 3 times..I'm obsessed with the veggie Pho. Something about that broth!!! I usually prefer dine in with I get Pho but they prepared this so well I felt like I got the restaurant experience at home.

Such an unassuming pho spot! I've walked past this place countless times, and finally got a chance to stop by. When I went, it was not busy at all, but I'm sure there are peak hours for this place. While walking to a table near the back, I noticed a faint fish smell. I thought it would pass, but it actually got stronger when they opened what I'm assuming is a storage room or door to the kitchen. Either way, I didn't love that the place smelled like a seafood counter-- it was definitely off putting. To the food. The shrimp garden rolls with the peanut sauce were fantastic! They were so big (if you can't tell from the picture) and super satisfying. The pho could have stood to be a little hotter. I'll say, though, that they brought all the food at the same time, so my pho cooled a bit while I tried a spring roll. I wish they would have staggered it a bit like most restaurants. I ordered the chicken pho with chili oil to add spice. I didn't notice any spice at all, so I ended up adding a significant amount of Sriracha, which made it perfect. Overall, this is a pretty solid restaurant. All in, my meal was about $27 (the pho was in a combo with a small piece of flan, which was also just ok). Can't beat the price, and I'll definitely be back.

They recently reopened and renovated the space. I ordered the Vietnamese beef stew with noodles and it was pretty good overall. The beef had that "fall off the bone" texture which was great. Something new that they didn't previously have is that you can choose between the regular Vietnamese rice noodles, or their homemade hand pulled version when you order the pho.

I had been here once before, before moving to the area, and thought it was great then. This time? Extraordinary. I came in about an hour before closing, and anyone who eats out knows food can sometimes feel different that close to closing time. Not here. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and just as good as if I had walked in at peak dinner time. On top of that, I had an issue with my online order/payment. It looked like the charge was processing through my account, but they had no record of the order. Instead of making me feel like a problem, the person helping me was patient, kind, and genuinely tried to figure it out. I felt treated like a hungry customer who needed help not like someone trying to get over. The food looked good, tasted amazing, and the people were helpful, welcoming, and kind even near closing. The space was welcoming as well. The corner store ..... come on in. Come on in. Come on in. Top-notch all around

Now for the Maryland softie, my first bite was heavenly (full of the crab-cake and remoulade), but as I kept eating it, I realized I would've just preferred it with just crab cake, not the soft shell too. Was it worth the hype? kind of. It's pricey so maybe one and done for me. Now the crab Rangoon egg roll, that was a miss for me. It is cheesy and filled with imitation crab, but too small for me at the price point. And I didn't find it super tasty personally. My sister who is also a yelp elite had a totally different take and loves it, so maybe it's subjective. I did have it 4 hours (put it in air-fryer) after I got it so maybe eating it super fresh is the difference. Space is limited so better for carryout, and the person taking my order was friendly. It'll probably take 20-30 mins for your order to come out, depending on how many people there are and pickup orders they have to complete. Overall, this place is a Maryland staple at this point and anyone who visits MD should 100% try and check out their famous fried chicken, whether as a bao sandwich or a rice bowl.
