I owe this place a review for years!!! :) I started eating here when they were at the old location and we remembered them by how they served their pho in square bowls! :) Fast forward years later, they moved to a food court and I still would go with my friend whenever we can. If and when I visit Baltimore, I would still go. They had the largest bowl of pho, that almost spills out the brim. A perfect proportion of onions, cilantro, meat, and their noodles also are cooked perfectly; somehow more "q" than other pho noodles and slightly thinner. The broth is usually darker and aromatic. The owner Leo is really nice and I see their kids doing homework around the area--a trademark of a legit Asian establishment, haha. I would go through the stupid parking garage situation to eat there, lol. read more

A friend was in town for the day and we were having a fun day so we hit up all of my fave places and found some new ones. I had to take them to Mekong Delta. It has been my favorite since pandemic times and it still does not disappoint. The pho and the lemongrass beef are soooooooooooo GOOD. Jeez Louise. If I could, I would eat it 2-3xs a week. Service was fast and very kind. The Lemongrass Beef Rolls ($6.75) was okay. The beef was a little dry, but still tender. We got the Pho Rare-Flank Beef and Bun Bo Hue (another pho). The broth was more on the sweet and sour side - not the typically flavor profile I enjoy in a pho. The meat in both the phos were also dry, but surprisingly still tender. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee ($4.75) was strong, but really good. The right amount of sweetness too. Mekong Delta Cafe is located in a food court. Many of the store in the food court have gone out of business so the food court is mainly empty and gives abandoned vibes. There is a parking garage that charges $8 for up to 1 hour. This is located at the food court so there are other choices inside. Ample tables and chairs for group seating. Parking maybe hard as there are limited street parking, although there a garages within .0x miles - walking distance! This cafe serves Asian food Viet, so pho, rice meals, noodles and you can choose the level of spiciness too - mild, medium, hot/spicy. I ordered V5 and for me, the rice serving was way more than enough for my 3 meals (maybe 2 meals for some). Considering I'm not a veggie person and got this veggie meal with tofu, it's good! I picked medium spice level and the rice was so tasty and addicting (maybe because I love spicy foods). My stomach can't huge servings though so I had leftovers, leftovers for lunch tomorrow and the next day! Woohoo! That means it comes down to like $4 per meal! Visiting Baltimore for work and found Mekong Delta Cafe (MDC). Located in a food court in downtown Baltimore, MDC is a totally hidden hot spot any PHO/Vietnamese fan looking for a great meal. Visited during the end of the lunch hour and was able to view the menu as well as ask questions. I've experienced great PHO is available on the East Coast especially in the DMV, and was surprised how well MDC delivers. Again MDC is located in a food court so be mindful of seating. There are several other red at this location and based on customer interest, seating can be a challenge especially on a great sunny day. MDC has several great options for PHO as well as traditional Vietnamese dishes and sandwiches. For this visit I specifically came for the PHO but will be back to try something different. The broth was a savory but spicy and when enjoy with the additional toppings you will quickly enjoy what MDC has prepared for you. Spring rolls were twice the spice you expect but also very delicious. Mekong Delta Cafe was a great experience and reasonably priced. So so so good. Got this place recommended to me for lunch during jury duty and I'm glad I went. Flavorful and the owners were so kind.

This is one of the few places I get lunch from (I typically bring mine) when in the office. I've worked downtown for nearly a decade but only in the last couple years knew about this place. To be fair, Pho Viet was across the street from my old office building. Any who, the first time I came here was at my coworker's recommendation. I got summer rolls and flank and rare beef pho. The first time the broth was too sweet and I thought my coworker led me astray but every time since (I get the same thing) has been more balanced and quite delicious. Came back post pandemic and enjoyed the Beef summer rolls. They are already sauced within the dish but also came with a delicious peanut sauce. Very filling! Worst Vietnamese food either of us have ever had. I have no idea about the good reviews. I had the shrimp and pork with vermicelli. The shrimp tasted like rubber. The pork wasn't terrible but it had no Vietnamese food flavor. Kind of like a Western barbecue flavor. It was served with some lettuce leaves instead of pickled vegetables we are used to. My wife had the vegetarian pho. Not horrible but nothing flavorful about it. It doesn't help that the food is served in a disposable container. They also had no option for water with the meal. It is a food court not a restaurant. The staff was also not very friendly. I could deal with all of that if the food was good. It is not. I should give one star, but I reserve that for truly horrible food. read more

Came back after six years and have similar feelings. The whole area had few food options open on the day, which is unfortunate. Tried the pho with tripe and tendon as well as seafood hu tieu. Portions here are huge and generous which is very nice. Unfortunately, I feel like all the broth is way too sweet for me the way it's cooked (hard to tell if it's MSG or sugar). Great food and lots of it! One order can easily (and should) serve two people. Food court at Charles Center location, with 5 star restaurant quality food. While pho centric, the rice and vermicelli dishes are also amazing. Summer rolls, egg rolls, seafood rolls are a meal by themselves and accentuated by the carrot vinegar dip or hot side dip are worth the trip to this place! The pork (G3) dish was fantastic with the right amount of broccoli and tons of pork will keep me happy for two days. Vietnamese Ice coffee had the strong coffee flavor with condensed milk without the super sweetness I try to avoid. This is a Baltimore gem! read more

This place was surprisingly good. There were not many people there for dinner, which surprised me for a trendy looking restaurant. It Made me worried about the food, but the Pho was really good and fresh. I think we had some rolls for apps that were good too. To preface I am a Vietnamese American from Boston and I have been having trouble finding Pho that is close in caliber to the Pho there. This pho is very different than any pho I've ever tried. I just don't think it's for me. They top it with fried garlic which I've never seen before. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls is also different than anything I've had before. It just wasn't what I was expecting and I just didn't enjoy it. It came with a very nice portion of meat though and it is much cheaper than the rest of the pho spots around. This is a Vietnamese spot I've heard great things about for a long time but I only very recently was able to visit! It's a bit out of the way and hard to find (it's in the food court at this location, see my pics) and the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. Yet, despite all that, it's is 5 star based on the food, the price, and the service. If you're in the area and enjoy Vietnamese I can't recommend it enough. It's also going to be my new go to spot for whenever I have jury duty as it's walking distance from the courthouse. The combination beef pho bowl was $9.95 huge bowl with lots of meat, noodles so fresh chewy and quality doesn't drop as it soak in the soup. I can smell the beef broth when putting down the table, it's authentic. Highly recommended. There's bathroom in the food court very clean and you will need to ask restaurant for the key. Owner is very nice and friendly. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is because when we were eating there's a guy running around the food court and harass us for money, he didn't want to leave until we pay him. I think he's always go to the food court. I will do take out if i ever come back. :( read more

The cafe like place is in the EATS food pavillion on Charles street. Lots of pictures to order through, but I was sent to try a dish I was told was nice. The F9 crab and shrimp Garlic fried rice. The place smelled nice, like a confectionary cafe, unfortunately that was from another place across the way. Chicken and Waffles..., for another review. Mekong took only a few minutes to prepare. Seating is available, and if you plan it right, covid can be followed. As for the food, the Garlic sauce and rice combination was filling. The Shrimp was a big and around a bakers dozen. I would guess 21-25, but some were a bit bigger. The Crab was real crab, although sparse, for $10 it was enough. And finally, there was plenty of food in the serving, I mean an army of burritos, note the pictures the first was before I ate, the second was after. Wow! The final thought, the food was more than enough for a lunch. The flavors were evident but I have to play with the amounts for the best seasons, as I am new to Vietnamese cooking. read more

Personally, I think this is the best pho spot in the city. My go to is P6: the Pho Special. The meatballs and tendons are very good. Some may not be a fan of the Broth due to its sweetness but I personally love the taste. Once you add the lime and sauces, you will be amazed by the depth of flavor. The service is amazing!! It's my number one reason for coming back. They are always so nice and respectful. The location is a little difficult to find. I hope they are able to move to their own location some day. My only complaint (or suggestion) is the lack of tripe in the pho. I think it would be an excellent addition to the bowl. Other than that, I would most definitely recommend coming to Mekong Delta. the price is very affordable and the menu is very well balanced. read more

My favorite place to get pho in the city- always worth the drive from my neighborhood. What keeps me coming back is (1) the uniquely and deliciously flavorful broth AND veggies, (2) the portion size (massive!) and (3) the lovely staff.
