Lunch special
Belu C.

I got the appetizers sampler. All were pretty good; nothing really stood out to me. The chicken was a bit dry, though. I think it was nice to be able to try so many things all at once, but I don't think anything is that good to the point that I would order it again, since I don't usually get appetizers. The lunch special was a good deal ($15.99). There were 3 different curries. I don't know what curry each was, but I liked the red and the orange one best. There were two pieces of naan bread, which have always been my favorite part of Indian meals. They also had this orange-colored rice that was very interesting--it tasted sweet, which was not expected. It was my first time eating something like that in Indian restaurants, and I liked it! The portion of the lunch special was quite generous, and I couldn't finish all. I wish they would make the portion smaller and cheaper. I'd say it's best to order 2 and share among 3 people. Good and quick service. There weren't a lot of people when we went around 11:30 am. The server was friendly. They have many cool decorations.

Shrimp Tikka Masala (3 stars)

I'd say this is more like 3.5 stars compared to other Indian restaurants that I've given 4, but still pretty solid so I'll round up. Butter chicken - it got better as I kept eating it Shrimp tikka masala - kind of tasted like tomato soup Neither were very spicy even though we asked for as hot as possible

Lamb Tikki Masala

The top of the list for your Indian Food cravings. I tried lamb FOR THE FIRST TIME. It was soooo good. You like chicken, have an adventure, try lamb. Rice was to die for. Perfect garlic naan. And a mango lassi. Service is on point and atmosphere is authentic. You need to eat here.

The tika masala chicken was good but I think I like Bombay house a little better. It's way quicker to get seated though. The service was ok. Portions small for price of food.

This is a family run business from a Haitian family. I had the pleasure of having the owner take my order and make recommendations. Menus are online through a QR code with pictures along each item for those unfamiliar with the cuisine I got the Grenadia, a passion fruit drink, it comes in a huge mason jar, sweet, a little tart, refreshing. Akra as the appetizer, it's a like a fritter or hush puppy made of yucca and yautia, super flavorful with a hint of spice. It comes with a tangy slaw on the side, almost a pickled flavor. I was a fan of this. There were wings and these patties that are like meat pies I wanted to order but I'll have to come back to try them next time. For my entree I got the fried goat. It comes with beans and rice and a sauce on the side. The goat was tender and oh so flavorful. Those beans and rice were rich and tasty. The beans were a bigger white bean, not the rice and beans you're thinking. Exceptional service and hospitality, I recommend giving them a try if you're in the area

We stayed at a hotel nearby on our way home from our Thanksgiving holiday. We were referred to this…read morerestaurant due to its location and the person said that it was a great restaurant so we ventured out to try it. The restaurant is connected to the Ramada Inn hotel and very close to a mall. So location was good. Upon entering we were greeted by a young lady in jeans and a sweater, not at all what I would expect for a greeter at a steakhouse but it is a college town so whatever. We entered a warmly lit room with a good amount of tables. We ordered a wedge salad and prime rib. My husband ordered a full baked potato and I ordered the sweet potato. Our wedge salad arrived and upon inspection we both said that it was the largest and strangest looking wedge we had ever been served as it was upside down and the dressing was very odd. It was supposed to be blue cheese but it tasted bland, felt more like watered down mayo than a dressing. I took my first bite and besides the dressing, the bacon had a very odd flavor. We moved it aside and tried to eat it but neither of us could eat much of it. Then our steaks arrived and I took one look at my sweet potato and just had to laugh. It looked like they dipped the potato in some kind of batter and deep fried it! Why do that to my sweet potato!? Haha It made no sense. I opened the sweet potato and thankfully it was fine... Okay now with a heavy sigh I stared at my prime rib with shaved horseradish in a pile on one side of my steak. This was yet another perplexing situation.. it was truly raw in the sense that it was not even peeled.. just freshly grated. Beyond that it had no kick.. the waitress told us that we could mix it with sour cream if we wanted, as they did not offer creamy horseradish! Haha It was an entire comedy of errors. So I tried my best to mix the horseradish with the sour cream... it had no flavor. Then I inspected my prime rib a little closer and found half of it to be fat or grisly. I looked back at my salad at this point trying to figure out which of these items I could actually eat. The sweet potato was actually fine but nothing special. So here is where I sit with this restaurant. It may be what people like.. I wasn't a fan. It was convenient but I would not classify this as a great steakhouse. I feel someone needs to revamp the recipes because I have seen others review this restaurant and we are all on the same page with the wedge salad.

I ordered the eight ounce New York Steak with Onion Rings as the side. It was pretty good. I don't understand the negative reviews for the steaks here. Mine was the princely sum of $18.99. One cannot expect a prime steak for $18.99. The onion rings were good, too. It's full bar with a variety of beers, so all of your booze groups are covered. It being 11:00 a.m., I opted for an iced tea. Ambience wise, it's spacious with a western theme. The service was friendly and good. Bottom line: I'd eat here again the next time I'm in town.

Ruby River Steak House - Iceberg wedge. Wish they had turned the wedge on its side so dressing would go between layers of the lettuce . They don't stint on toppings.

My family loves the Vegetable Samosas with the Mint Chutney as well. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the owner was a pleasure as he walls around and chatted with everyone. He wanted to make sure we were eating our Naan first while it was hot, and then focus on the rice afterwards. (Advice that changed my life, I was always a rice first sort of guy). The tables didn't feel too tight, it definitely gets loud with the dinner rush but nothing more than you would expect. Such an awesome place with great flavor! I loved reviewing restaurants in Logan, but there's only so much up there... now that we've moved to Utah County I'm excited to get back into the food scene! The tables and floors were clean, and the seats were comfortable and intimate. I ordered the medium Bollywood chicken that I heard a random patron rave about in the waiting area while my husband got the mild Chicken Tikka Masala. Both dishes were delicious, full of flavor and the meat was incredibly tender. We also got a serving of the garlic naan, which was good, but I've had better. Total came out to be a very respectable amount after everything we ordered, but not offering free refills feels like a stingy decision. Overall, I absolutely recommend the Bollywood chicken (but feel free to skip on the garlic naan and get a different side). I'm totally coming back and getting a mango lassi!
