India palace is my favorite Indian food place in Utah county. I think they get overshadowed by Bombay House that is also in the area (both are great), but I actually prefer India Palace. India Palace is fairly easy to get seated, and the food is still really great. I've tried a number of items off of their menu, and I keep going back to the coconut lamb korma because it is to die for. The flavors are so incredible, aromatic, rich, creamy, you get the idea. The prices are standard for Indian food, and the food is more filling than you'd expect. I highly recommend pairing your meal with the mango lassi. The service is decent, but I think the amazing food trumps anything the service lacks. I have loved all of my many experiences visiting India Palace. read more

Service excellent. The food was incredible. Large portions full of flavors. I had the chicken korma and it melted in my mouth. One dining companion had chicken tiki masala (medium spicy) and I had a bite and the flavors were amazing. Other had a (gluten free) shrimp dish that she said was delicious. The garlic naan was the best I have had. My dining partners raved about the coffee and I sampled and the raves were well deserved. This pace does not disappoint! Wonderful, prompt, and friendly service. The restaurant itself wasn't a feast for the eyes, but that doesn't matter. The food is phenomenal! I had the coconut korma. Flavor explosion! The heat is exactly the level of what you expect when you tell them what you want. Look, y'all. I love me some Indian food. Specifically, Indian buffets. They are an awesome way to try a bunch of different dishes for an often remarkably low price. With that in mind, I took my cute 9 yr old son (and fellow foods-of-the-world connoisseur) to India Palace last weekend. We've been to several Indian restaurants and this would be our first time eating at this one. The decor is pretty sweet with lots of murals and interesting art. Also, peacocks as far as the eye can see! (-In the art and decor- not real ones.) Some googling revealed that the peacock is in fact the national bird of India, where it is seen as a symbol of grace and beauty and is believed to protect against all forms of negativity. Just a little knowledge bomb for a pre-meal review snack, haha. Aaaaanywho, we ordered chicken tikka and chicken curry. When asked what spice level we wanted, m'boy chose spicy and I chose mild because Indian "spicy" is spicier than your average "spicy" and I was pretty sure he forgot about that. (Pro tip: pay attention to your server's face when you make your selection. If they look surprised or doubtful, your mouth is going to be filled with the fires of Mordor.) They ended up mixing up our spice levels, which actually worked out okay since the spiciness was indeed a bit more than my little homie could handle. The flavors were good. The garlic naan wasn't quite as garlicky as I'm used to and we tried peshawari naan for the first time (it's filled with a sweet paste) and liked that. A little bit of the peshawari goes a long way and leftovers hold up really well. My favorite part of the meal was actually the rice! It was fluffy and well seasoned and it looked like confetti on a plate! As you might have noticed, we ended up ordering meals rather than trying the buffet; the reason being that I neglected to read the sign out front, clearly stating that the lunch buffet is only available on weekdays. You better believe I reprimanded myself in the bathroom mirror for that rookie mistake. The prices for the meals were standard for an Indian food restaurant; around $13-18 per meal, which included rice (and free refills- which was a pleasant surprise). read more

We went in and it was surprisingly slow for how amazing the food was. The service was super good and we got our food fast. My favorite was the garlic naan. I also got the butter chicken curry and it was perfect! You can choose your spice level which is great when you're with others who might like spice less or more than you do! 10/10 would recommend. This is a pretty typical Indian Place, I would say a great restaurant for Provo and fairly priced when it comes to Indian food. We came here with a group of 10 of us for a birthday celebration, and the waiters were very accommodating. They gave great recommendations, were willing to split the check for each person and brought out the food quickly. We tried everything from the vegetarian curry to the meaty curries and everyone left happy and full! The garlic naan bread was a huge hit and a very large piece! I tried the butter chicken and the coconut Korma and both were very flavorful. I thought the little bit of spice in the Korma was delicious, but the creamy texture of the butter chicken was really yummy! A friend got the mango curry which was also really good, and something that I don't normally see on an Indian menu. My hot take: Everyone who thinks Bombay house is the best Indian in Provo has not tried India Palace. India palace feels much more authentic and fun to me. I've tried several dishes on their menu and have not once been disappointed. Everything is so flavorful, perfectly spiced, and extremely filling. They provide more than enough rice, and the naan and other appetizers are some of the best I've ever had. For a college student, it is a little more pricey but I usually end up taking half of my curry home so i usually end up paying for 2 meals (in some cases, it tastes better the next day.) Bombay house was super packed on a Friday night so we chose to go here instead. I was sadly underwhelmed. First of all the portions are very small for the price, which I don't mind as long as it's quality food but this fell short. We ordered our curry hot, which to anyone who eats Indian curry knows that means it's supposed to be spicy, this was the most un spicy curry I've ever tasted! Did not disappoint! We went here after first trying to go to another popular Indian restaurant, but, they had a 40 minute wait... so we came here and we are glad we did! We came on a Friday evening- it was busy, but there was no wait for two people when we came. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. The portions were huge, and everything was delicious. Great evening meal option if you don't feel like cooking and want something quick and easy. They have take out and socially distanced dine in. We called in our order and it was ready in less than 30 minutes. We love the mango korma- it's vegetarian and delicious. I recommend going hot bc the mild and medium are very mild (in my opinion). We are huge fans of the garlic naan. One order is pretty big so we typically split it but if you are a fan of naan, I'd say got for one order on your own. I ate here for the second time yesterday. The food and service were amazing both times The food was customizable to the amount of spice in it. I ordered mild and in the future I would order medium. The mild was not spicy and all and would be perfect for someone who isn't into spices. The lack of spiciness didn't detract from the flavor at all. It was still very yummy! I really miss their buffet! It was SO good & fun to try all the different flavors to see what you like & want to order more of for dinner! They're doing a great job with dine in though & also offer carry out. One of the best points is that they have vegan & vegetarian options that'll make you happy you choose to eat your veggies because their seasonings are SO good! My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner on a Monday and the place was decently crowded which is always a good sign! We were seated right away and the waiter came by quickly to take our order. We got the vegetable samosas, garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and the mango chicken. Just passing through town from Vegas and stumbled across this gem for take-out. I always judge a new Indian restaurant by the baingan bharta (smoked eggplant). If they can do this right - then the rest of them menu is solid. Well. Indian Palace did NOT disappoint. I'm stuffed and satisfied and will definitely stop by on the way back through Provo. I would consider India palace to be my favorite restaurant, I've ordered food from them probably about 100 times and it's always good. I ordered their butter chicken (my favorite dish) and it tasted like absolute crap. I've never had anything from there that wasn't great. The next day i was super sick, my stomach was killing me. I went in later in the day and told them about what happened and asked if there was any way i could get my food replaced from yesterday (i even brought in the food me and my wife didn't finish so they could do a taste test if they wanted), the owner said no. When i kept trying to explain what happened he just kept shaking his head no and asked if i wanted to order again, why on earth would I want to order more after that. So i guess I'm never going back, which makes me extremely sad honestly. read more

Such a hidden gem for Indian food in Provo. The food can compete against Bombay House, but the prices will win you over. Service is great as well. My husband and I got 2 cheese naan (warning: the naan are massive, one can easily feed 2 people), lamb vindaloo, and chicken madras. Now, I knew I went in hungry, although I was astonished at how much I managed to pack down. The flavors were perfect, and I couldn't stop eating. To wrap up our meal, we shared a pleasantly sweet yet slightly tart mango lassi. Very fresh tasting. Overall, India Palace gave us a wonderful experience with the food, ambiance, and service. I strongly advise against dining at India Palace in Provo, Utah. My wife and I went there to celebrate her birthday, but our special evening was ruined and ended in my wife in tears after the poor service and rude behavior of the waiter. We ordered chicken tiki masala, but the protein in the tiki masala we ordered was not what we expected and looked more like tofu or cheese. Upon asking the waiter what the protein was, we were met with an aggressive and tactless lecture in front of other diners about what we "actually ordered" and the confrontation left my wife in tears. The chicken tiki masala was eventually brought to us, but the damage was already done. Additionally, the waiter was pushy in his efforts to convince us to purchase more food when we were ordering. He misinformed us about the size of the naan bread, which led us to order two when one could have easily been shared. This is just another example of the unhelpful and unacceptable treatment we received at India Palace. In conclusion, the food was okay, but the customer service was terrible, and the experience left a lasting negative impact. I would not recommend India Palace to anyone, and I will not be returning there in the future. Update: In case somebody reading this review is wondering if I just made a mistake on my order--there's no way! I looked at the menu again and the paneer (cheese) masala we were served is on the vegetarian section of the menu. My mom and daughter ate here a few weeks ago and raved about it. And WOW! The absolutely perfect seasoning of each individual item was so impressive. I'd like to particularly rave about the 7-piece appetizer sampler that my daughter and I split. It had a subtly spicy vegetable samosa, 2 sweet onion bhaji, a minty potato patty, another vegetable patty of some kind, and 2 slightly dry tandoori chicken tenders. The menu had said chicken pakora but I must have misunderstood what that is. The mango chicken korma I ordered was so tender and the malai kofta very good. My daughter had a mango lassi that was definitely the best I've tasted. The whole meal came out to $51 and they bring an iPad around for you to pay at the table. After eating here today, I remember why I love this place. It has been my favorite since my first visit in 2008. Hands-down my favorite Indian restaurant in the state! The service, the smells, the taste, the atmosphere you name it this place has it. I highly, highly recommend the Peshwari Naan! It is amazing I haven't found better any where.
