I got the appetizers sampler. All were pretty good; nothing really stood out to me. The chicken was a bit dry, though. I think it was nice to be able to try so many things all at once, but I don't think anything is that good to the point that I would order it again, since I don't usually get appetizers. The lunch special was a good deal ($15.99). There were 3 different curries. I don't know what curry each was, but I liked the red and the orange one best. There were two pieces of naan bread, which have always been my favorite part of Indian meals. They also had this orange-colored rice that was very interesting--it tasted sweet, which was not expected. It was my first time eating something like that in Indian restaurants, and I liked it! The portion of the lunch special was quite generous, and I couldn't finish all. I wish they would make the portion smaller and cheaper. I'd say it's best to order 2 and share among 3 people. They have amazing Indian food! Don't be confused when you try to find them online. They are owned by curry pizza, but they are NOT curry pizza, they are a truly authentic Indian food. I had the paneer masala, and me and a friend shared the onion bhaji appetizer. So tasty! She had the lamb Rogan josh and said it was really tasty. We also shared garlic naan. My only gripe is that it is so hard to find them on the internet because all that comes up is curry pizza. It didn't use to be this way, and I wish they'd go back to having a separate web site. Because it makes it seem like India palace now is just curry pizza and I don't want to eat curry pizza, I want authentic Indian food which is what they serve at India palace. My favorite Indian restaurant in Provo. Everything was spiced very well, and the portions were generous. We ordered saag paneer, kebabs, naan, and chicken curry. Everything was perfect. The kebabs have a different texture than what I was used to, like perhaps they had tapioca starch or something similar in the mix, but they were still very good. The naan were large, and they did not skimp on the paneer in the saag paneer which was a nice surprise. Lots of cheese! The curries also came with rice, which was cooked well. We had take-out. We live Indian Food and this is our favorite spot to come. Food is delicious and staff is super friendly. We had chicken tikka masala and chicken vandaloo with garlic naan and bhatura. All of it was SO GOOD! Fast service too. Was able to walk right in on a Friday night and went straight to a table. Food was served quickly too. read more

Delicious. The fish coconut korma, samosas, and peshwari naan were all incredible. The raita dip was a great addition. It wasn't busy and the restaurant was open late enough to allow us to comfortably have a late dinner without feeling rushed. We walked in, waited 15 minutes, it's 2:08pm (lunch special sign says it ends at 2:30pm). He tries to make up on the spot that Fridays it ends at 2pm. Is extremely pushy and rushes my significant other, speaks to us in 1-word phrases, "bread? Bread?" . He disrespected my vegetarian friend by stating he can't accommodate him on the lunch special even though it states veg or no veg options. I usually love India Palace, but after getting one of my favorite dishes yesterday, I am disappointed. The coconut chicken korma is typically packed full of flavorful spices. But yesterday, Valentine's Day, I ordered takeout. I have to say, the coconut chicken korma tasted like the kitchen was cutting corners because of the rush. Fantastic Indian food! If you are looking for authentic food go here, and get the hot options! They will tell you it's very spicy, and it is, but they will also tell you that for medium. They seem to want to make sure those who aren't very used to spicy food enjoy what they get, so keep that in mind. The restaurant itself is alright, it's got dimmed light and the environment is fine, nothing bad, but nothing super crazy. I wouldn't go here for an especially fancy dinner. The service is good, but many of the servers talk a limited amount and may not follow the "norm" of other servers (my server directed multiple parties together at the same time, and seemed to group us together more than normal). That being said everyone is incredibly polite. This isn't a problem for me at all but if you are into dining for the experience beyond the food (for example, a nicer dinner after a fancy event) this may not be it for you. That being said, if you are there for the food, this is a great Indian food spot! I would recommend it. read more

Having a staycation here in Provo and was lucky enough to find this jewel of an Indian restaurant in the midst of some eclectic shops. Having had many dining experiences I can truly say that this food is authentic and amazingly delicious. The waiter was a jewel also. Could not have asked for better food or service. India palace is my favorite Indian food place in Utah county. I think they get overshadowed by Bombay House that is also in the area (both are great), but I actually prefer India Palace. India Palace is fairly easy to get seated, and the food is still really great. I've tried a number of items off of their menu, and I keep going back to the coconut lamb korma because it is to die for. The flavors are so incredible, aromatic, rich, creamy, you get the idea. The prices are standard for Indian food, and the food is more filling than you'd expect. I highly recommend pairing your meal with the mango lassi. The service is decent, but I think the amazing food trumps anything the service lacks. I have loved all of my many experiences visiting India Palace. read more

Look, y'all. I love me some Indian food. Specifically, Indian buffets. They are an awesome way to try a bunch of different dishes for an often remarkably low price. With that in mind, I took my cute 9 yr old son (and fellow foods-of-the-world connoisseur) to India Palace last weekend. We've been to several Indian restaurants and this would be our first time eating at this one. The decor is pretty sweet with lots of murals and interesting art. Also, peacocks as far as the eye can see! (-In the art and decor- not real ones.) Some googling revealed that the peacock is in fact the national bird of India, where it is seen as a symbol of grace and beauty and is believed to protect against all forms of negativity. Just a little knowledge bomb for a pre-meal review snack, haha. Aaaaanywho, we ordered chicken tikka and chicken curry. When asked what spice level we wanted, m'boy chose spicy and I chose mild because Indian "spicy" is spicier than your average "spicy" and I was pretty sure he forgot about that. (Pro tip: pay attention to your server's face when you make your selection. If they look surprised or doubtful, your mouth is going to be filled with the fires of Mordor.) They ended up mixing up our spice levels, which actually worked out okay since the spiciness was indeed a bit more than my little homie could handle. The flavors were good. The garlic naan wasn't quite as garlicky as I'm used to and we tried peshawari naan for the first time (it's filled with a sweet paste) and liked that. A little bit of the peshawari goes a long way and leftovers hold up really well. My favorite part of the meal was actually the rice! It was fluffy and well seasoned and it looked like confetti on a plate! As you might have noticed, we ended up ordering meals rather than trying the buffet; the reason being that I neglected to read the sign out front, clearly stating that the lunch buffet is only available on weekdays. You better believe I reprimanded myself in the bathroom mirror for that rookie mistake. The prices for the meals were standard for an Indian food restaurant; around $13-18 per meal, which included rice (and free refills- which was a pleasant surprise). read more

This is a pretty typical Indian Place, I would say a great restaurant for Provo and fairly priced when it comes to Indian food. We came here with a group of 10 of us for a birthday celebration, and the waiters were very accommodating. They gave great recommendations, were willing to split the check for each person and brought out the food quickly. We tried everything from the vegetarian curry to the meaty curries and everyone left happy and full! The garlic naan bread was a huge hit and a very large piece! I tried the butter chicken and the coconut Korma and both were very flavorful. I thought the little bit of spice in the Korma was delicious, but the creamy texture of the butter chicken was really yummy! A friend got the mango curry which was also really good, and something that I don't normally see on an Indian menu.
