I walked in today around 2:05 pm for a coffee. I was disappointed to see two people sitting at the north counter in close proximity talking and the gentleman did not have a mask on, even though the business requires masks. Worse, was a customer who came from the upstairs offices, with no mask and nothing was said. This makes many people feel unsafe during a peak of the pandemic, myself included. Ordered a fairly straightforward selection of items online before hitting the road on a trip. Placing the order and picking up were easy, but I was 20min down the road, when I realized...there was no bacon. On my bacon avocado toast. It was just toast with avocado on it, and literally everything else was forgotten. What was I going to do at that point? I had just paid $9 and a 20% tip for them to mess up what I imagine is their most popular crafted food item, and I just had to deal. Enjoy the donation, I guess. Pricing here is absolutely criminal. I paid 17 dollars for avocado toast and a mediocre latte. If it was half the price this place would have another star or two from me, but I literally dropped my jaw when they brought me the rinky dink slice of toast with pretty much guacamole on it. It's the size of my palm. What a shame. What a sham. Update: I wrote that while sitting at the table. The meal got worse the further I went. I didn't even finish my toast because the amount of mayo and butter they squirted all over it made it impossible to eat. It's also bus your own table. I'm still starving. I might as well have gulped the air inside the coffee shop and then emptied my wallet and left. Ordered two flat whites. I've had them from Seattle to Queenstown. Worst one I have ever had was here at Indaba. Bitter, tiny, and undrinkable. All for a measily 10 bucks. What's to return for? Not much. A kind response by the manager. However, adding cost to the already high price of a relatively simple drink is not the answer. read more

they raise the price of brewed coffee to $3 for 12 oz which is pretty outrageous and that's the price of your bring your own cup I mean the coffee is good but I would say it's not as good or equal to McDonald's which is also great organic coffee that is fair trade. Amazing!! One of the best places I've come to visit in the Spokane area. I got a white petal iced tea and an avocado bacon toast with a hard boil egg. The toast was SO delightful and delicious. Oh my effin goodness. You gotta try the lemon vanilla latte. Never had anything like it in my life! Epic. Great recommendation. Warm/inviting customer service. Open till 10pm even on a sunday so it's a must for people with work to do or after dinner coffee/espresso drinks. Also has delicious avocado toast which is nice to hold you over as a midday snack. Indaba is great if you enjoy a nice coffee shop to study, work, or hangout at. "Love People, Love Coffee" is the mantra they go by, as long as you're not one of their employees. The community they garner here is lovely, but so are their employees. Next time you're in let your baristas know how much they're appreciated, because god knows their employers won't. Their act may be fake, but the coffee is damn good. If you're a patron, tip these workers! They deserve it! If you're looking for a place to work, this is not the place. Anyone who works here is a pawn for Indaba's use-- Indaba has no problem treating employees that have been with them for years like trash and firing them when they're of no use for them anymore. read more

Love that they are open late. Their lemon lavender latte was amazing and not too sweet. I hear the syrups are housemade! Can be pretty pricey, my lavender vanilla latte with oat milk was $7, but worth it. And they have tampons and pads in the bathroom :) Only thing strange is that their decaf is pretty strong. Decaf usually has 7mg of caffeine but I felt jittery after the decaf here, I think their decaf is more like 20mg of caffeine.. read more

Went here for a meeting. I like the nice laid back atmosphere. It is was nicer then any other coffee place I have been to in the US. They also have a great variety of teas, coffees and food. Definitely worth paying to park downtown! read more

So, I've been a loyal and very lucrative customer for quite some time, and they have a point system where they say if you get 80 drinks (refills and other drinks not included) and you get a sweater, and I've been eyeballing this sweater for a log time, and they all knew, and today there was a new guy who gave me a sweater for my 80 stars and when I came back, he literally took it away from me, and gave me a long sleeve t-shirt. Now, this may seem kind of mInor, but it's really jacked to spend $2000 at a place and be treated so bad to have a gift ripped out of your hands. I was just being polite to see if I could get a different size. So if the $10 is more important to them, then I'll never tip again, and wouldn't recommend it, b/c obviously in the end they treat their customers like trash as long as they keep PAYING THIER HIGH PRICES.
