This nail salon was recommended by a friend who had gotten a manicure with gel x, which I had never heard of. Her nails looked so natural and beautiful that I knew I had to go try for myself. Usually this is my go to place, but honestly the customer service recently has gone extremely down hill. I came in for a gel pedicure and a hard gel overlay for my nails. The pedicure was perfect, loved it. But when we sat down to do my nails, it went all downhill. I recently had grown out my nails really long, so I just wanted a hard gel overlay to keep it healthy, I said I just wanna hard gel overlay that's it. She asks if I wanna cut my nails down to match the length of my shortest nail, I say no it's okay, call me weird but I'll be fine with them uneven as long as they're long. But you could take the tiniest bit off, and she does. Then she says your nails are a little flimsy like I feel like they look a lot better with gelX and I told her I wasn't sure about it but she reassured me it would be healthy for my nail, I asked her if it was gonna be a similar price and she says yes, which on their website a simple hard gel overlay is around 40 bucks. by the way they're not they're not the same price, they ended up being $30 more. Almost 80% increase. But I say okay reluctantly because I want my nails that I've spent so long growing to have a good shape to them, as soon I say yes she immediately cut my nails all the way down, and I was upset because I reiterated multiple times I wanna keep my length. chopped my nails down to the brim all of my nails I was upset but honestly didn't say anything cause at that point the damage was already done. So I just suck it up and let her do what she wanted to do, which was just her putting a full bed tip on and gel on top. For the rest of the service she doesn't really talk to me, and the only times she did talk to me was to ask if I've ever gotten my nails done before, which would of been a nice question if I didn't already answer it 2 times. The rest of the time she was locked in on the World Cup on the tv, which I can't blame her, it's the World Cup , but she would stop everything she was doing just to see if someone scored, genuinely 90% of when she was supposed to be doing my nails she would be looking at the tv if she multitasked I wouldn't have minded at all. , she would cut my cuticles dry and they would start bleeding and became sore. At the end I ask for an itemized bill, not implying ANYTHING, I just wanna see how much each service costed, she started getting rude and then said she would show me the itemized bill only after I payed. I payed and she started to catch an attitude but I was so sick of everything I just left. I am responding back to the manager's response to my review on google. I came in on December 23rd and that is when the guy doing someone's nails and the woman employee sitting in the back on a pedicure chair both told me that they couldn't do my nails. It was 5:15pm and the salon is open until 6pm. I was getting a basic manicure, no dip, tips, acrylic....just wanted my nails cleaned up. Very disappointing. I will be going elsewhere. read more

**Under NEW management** I went in on a Friday morning with NO appointment & did not have a wait. I was immediately greeted and told to check in. The young lady who did my nails did an awesome job! She catered to all of my needs, & frequently asked if the service was good! She took her time & didn't rush. I'm super picky when it comes to manicures, I got a dip powder manicure with tips & I have to say this is the best my nails have EVER looked!! Only down side is they don't do a hand massage with the manicure, a little disappointing, but I would HIGHLY recommend this place. They even offer a cash discount. Posting my mom's review from another platform, bc she was so disappointed with iNail Bar I have recommended iNail Bar to multiple people. Well, today, I went in to get a gel manicure and pedicure with a gift card I received for Christmas and because there wasn't a receipt they would not honor it. I called the person that had gifted it to me and was able to get the receipt info and they still said come back with it next time. Unfortunately for them, there will not be a next time. I love it here! The customer service is amazing. I had come in for a full set but only had 45 minutes to get it done because I had work. My nails didn't really come out how I'd wanted them to but there was no time to reshape and paint them that day so it was what it was at that point as a full set usually takes about an hour to complete. I asked if I could come back the next day to finish up and just get them painted. When I went back, showed Holly a picture of what I wanted to do the day before and she said she could make it happen no problem. She was amazing. She completely redid my nails and spent an hour reshaping, extending, and painting my nails. She gave me exactly what I asked for with no extra charges. She sacrificed making a profit to make a customer happy and went above and beyond exceeding my expectations and that's something that I really appreciate because you don't really see that with a lot of businesses anymore especially during COVID times. So I've been to this place 3 times this summer. The first visit was the best pedicure I've ever had and I couldn't believe it was only $25. The second visit was not good....probably the worst pedicure I've ever had and I watched one of the techs squash a bug on the floor. uhm, yuck. I've only been here twice and unfortunately I will not go back. The first visit was for a pedicure and the tech did a nice job. I was glad to see the pedicure tub was lined because the salon does not give me a clean impression. The second visit was for a powder refill. The tech this time did an ok job, but she wore a filthy dirty white shirt/jacket that looked as though it hadn't been laundered in months! Eww! She wasn't very friendly and needs to clean up her hands and jacket before working on a customer. I came here after walking out of the nail salon in Laurence Park. So it was very last minute and I was annoyed and tense. They took me right away, the woman who gave me the pedicure was terrific and a perfectionist. They asked if I wanted a manicure too and I said I did but, was running late and did not have time. She said the manicure could be done the same time as the pedicure if it was ok with me, was it ever!!! Yes, yes please. She gave me a killer foot massage, FANTASTIC!! I love this place. The nail techs always do a great job on my nails which last over 3 weeks (I get the dip polish). There was only one time when my nail chipped the following day and they were very happy to fix it for me at no charge. I've gone here a few times with a coupon and today was no exception. In anticipation of a island vacation next week, a spa pedicure and gel manicure were in order. When my technician went to grab the materials for my pedicure, he put the basket down in front of me and I saw 3 roaches come out and run across the floor. The spa pedicure was good, but nothing special. When I was done, we moved over to the nail section for my gel manicure. While sitting getting my nails done, I was freezing because my bare feet never went under a heater to dry. I did like the way the technician did my manicure, and got my nails nice and short. When completed, he checked my toes and told me they were tacky. After spraying quick dry on my toes, he told me I was good to go; I was concerned wearing flats that my polish would get ruined. Sure enough, when I arrived home, both of my big toes have the pattern of my socks on them. Worst off, this is the second time I was told my toes were fine and they got ruined. I visited iNail Bar on October 13th & 20th, 2016. On my first visit I just needed an eyebrow wax, I was a walk-in it was comfortable, great price and fast service, I was pleased with my visit and decided to make an appt. for the 20th in preparation for my wedding gel manicure. Some co-workers purchased me a giftcard for me as a wedding gift... HOWEVER! When I showed up to my appointment I had to wait an atrocious amount of time (people walking in walked out before me!) Then THEY SCAMMED ME! I can't fault them on their work my nails looked great however when I went to pay with the giftcard she swiped, swiped,swiped and she swore up and down the the gift wasn't working... (mind you it's their personal card with the business name and address not a vanilla,TD,Wells one.) I asked her to look up on the computer I gave her the week it was purchased,the persons name ect. She refused. She said there was no way to even though there was a barcode on back of the giftcard??!! She pressured me saying that the purchase for the gift card must have been reversed! That I wasn't leaving until I paid... second guessing myself and I wasn't able to get in contact the person to brought it, I paid. I even tipped. The following week my co-worker and returned she had her receipt, card, banking documentation. She confronted the worker and without even looking at her receipt she said that the gift card would now work, SHE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE GIFT CARD! So now it just magically works?! They refused to give me a refund! DISGUSTING! I was a happy satisfied customer who even made an appointment to comeback and they ROBBED me on my second visit....
