This is now my new go to nail salon in the Main Line. This place is convenient to Ardmore's downtown. It is in a strip with a ton of other businesses. I walked in and they had an immediate opening. I got Nu (I think this is how you spell her name) to do my nails. She did a pedicure. I really liked how thorough she was. They even do a bit of a hot stone after. I got a really light colored Essie Pink (see attached image). I tried to put it on my foot but it didn't take as well as I would have hoped. Luckily, I was able to tell Nu and she quickly removed my nail polish and found a suitable alternate with no complaints. I ended up getting a manicure. The Essie light pink looked better on the hand vs foot. She did a great job. My polish lasted for more than a week which is a real rarity. The only downside is the driers are pretty far from where they were doing my nails. They do accept Venmo with tip which added to the convenience. read more

I was looking for a place to remove my dipping powder and to cut and shape my nails... I browsed Yelp and found this place then made an appointment via a Yelp message. Making an appointment this way was quick and easy and the communication through the messaging was good! I had high expectations and walking into the salon because this place is rated 4.5 stars but my excitement fell flat when I walked in the door and was approached (not greeted) by a woman asking me if I had an appointment, I said yes. I can't recall if she asked my name but she walked me to a manicure station and started the process to remove the dipping powder. Once my nails were wrapped, she instructed me to sit at another station. Minutes later, another woman completed the process and then cut and shaped my nails. She talked about what she was doing while shaping my nails and was more affable than the first woman I encountered. The atmosphere of the salon is dry and cold and did not feel "spa-like" at all... There was a tv on with closed captioning and the only sound that I remember hearing was chatter, which was a mixture of the technicians speaking amongst themselves and the conversation of some patrons (who I believe were teenaged girls). If I could, I would have rated this place 3.5 stars: 3 stars because I received the service that I wanted and they were able to accommodate me with short notice. The .5 is for the hospitable nature of the second woman who I encountered... I don't see myself returning. read more

I've been going to Glow Nails all throughout the pandemic, ever since they were referred to me by a beauty professional whose opinion I trust highly. Kristy is wonderful, as are all of her staff. They pay such attention to your nails, both the way they look when you come out and also the health of the nail itself. I get gel manicures every three weeks, and a pedicure once a month. Their gel manicures stay longer than anyone else's and are really lovely. And wow the pedicures come with a leg/foot deep tissue massage that makes me feel amazing! The Glow staff who do the pedicure massages are just incredible. What drew me to Glow was their attention to cleanliness and social distancing/PPE during the pandemic... a high level which Kristy and her staff maintain all the time anyway. I was a semi-regular until one time I had my nails done and didn't like the color or how thick it turned out. When I politely mentioned I didn't like it and that I could come back another time to fix it, the woman doing my nails just got up and went to the next customer without trying to accommodate at all--her colleague had to finish my nails while I just sat there.
