I've been a regular customer - booking every 2 weeks for a manicure and pedicure for over a year. This place is top notch- products, professionals, extremely clean, bright and modern vibe. After the pandemic I was very cautious of going to nail salon. Many nail places don't properly disinfect the pedicure tub and the jets , reuse of manicure instruments / nail files and products are put in reused plastic soap containers. Yuk! Most important, I want to relax, not wait in line and not be in a room with 50 people - super loud- people lined up next to you - no privacy. . I drive by my old nail place and can't imagine going back to a place like that no matter how cheap the cost. La Belle is busy with customers but I'm usually have 2 seats between me and the other customer. Relaxing instrumental soft music , no TV and no loud shouting across the room (lol). Vikki , is super friendly and always makes sure I'm comfortable. She is a professional and does a fabulous job for my manicure and pedicure and eye brows waxing. They use top of the line polish and hand and foot products. Easy booking on your phones Payment is pre-paid on line so I just leave when I'm done. Highly recommended and worth the cost. I drive by this place often but I never thought about patronizing it, until my usual nail place closed... So I browsed Yelp and saw the good reviews and decided I'd give it a try. Making an appointment was very easy but I did not like that payment was required in advance... The day of my appointment I made sure to arrive a few mins early because I was unsure if what parking would be like but I was able to find parking around the corner from the salon, which was just a few steps away. When I walked in the salon I was greeted, checked in and instructed to choose the color for my pedi. Immediately after I was directed to the station for my pedicure, which was executed with diligence and care and almost put me to sleep; and the massage that is noted in the pedicure description is a true massage. After my pedicure was complete I was directed to the manicure station, at which my hands were given the same meticulous attention. The services that I received on my visit were a Classic pedicure and a Dazzle Dry manicure. I do think the prices are a little high but the service was exceptional. read more

I was visiting my parents and headed into Labelle for a second time for a manicure. It is clean and pretty as well as comfortable. You can have water or tea. They are efficient but at the same time you can relax. I will be back here for sure. It's much nicer than the salon I go to at home. read more

I am not, in general, a high maintenance person. I don't spend a great deal of time in spas or salons, not much is ever plucked, etc. It's not that I object, I love a great spa day or mani/pedi. It's just not the most important part of my life. FDC on the other hand has a black belt in pampering. So, every so often she commands that I go be pampered. "You MUST go to LaBelle. You can walk there. Go." OK. I go out on Yelp and use 'request appointment'. Within 10 minutes I got a return call from the salon, and in 2 minutes after that was scheduled for a classic mani/pedi. I arrive a few hours later. The salon is in a historic corner building in Ardmore, about a block and a half from the train station and half a block from the buses. There's some metered street parking in front and a public lot across the street. Since I am a resident of the "003", and it's a gorgeous day, I walk the few blocks there. I enter and the space is clean, sleek but yet warm, tons of natural light and a feeling of calm and spaciousness. I'm invited to pick my colors, and sat on some benches until I was called back. My technician was amazing, friendly, funny, no I'm not giving you her name because I don't want her to book too much. Here's some clues: You will not believe she's 44 because she looks 20. She's a tennis fanatic. There. Talk to the people who are helping you be beautiful. :) The pedicure chairs are different from the usual, but quite beautiful. The massaging function in the chair is gentle, so I don't feel I'm being massaged by the enforcer of a roller derby team. I then went over to the manicure station, where my nails were beautifully shaped and painted, then off to the drying station. It was a relaxing, entertaining, wonderful experience. What also contributed to my experience was the staff - to a person they were warm, friendly, open. I've been in many salons, and I have learned the 'vibe' is important. Happy team = better experience. The people who are working here, they really like it. You can tell, they're just at ease. Price I felt was very reasonable given first that it's the "003", the surroundings are clearly more upscale, and the products quality. I'll definitely be back, probably not as often as FDC, but sooner than usual for me. read more

I decided I wanted to get my nails done with my friend before my elopement so I made an appointment here and I think I found my favorite nail salon! With covid going on, I was nervous about going, but the owner was sanitizing in between customers, the nail technicians were all wearing masks and constantly sanitizing, and everyone was socially distanced! I love this place! The owner is very sweet and is always accommodating. The place is on a busy corner but there's plenty of parking nearby. The salon itself is bright, clean and full of natural sunlight with a large wall of windows. I'm very picky with where I get my nails done because I'm a germaphobe but this place is squeaky clean. They have a nice selection of colors and recently have a long lasting polish which I tried and it was great! I work in a hospital so my nails are constantly exposed to hand sanitizer and regular polish just gets stripped right off. 1.5 weeks later, my nails are still looking good. read more

This was my first trip to La Belle nail bar, and it was WONDERFUL. I had gel on my nails from a prior visit to a different salon, and they took it off for free. Most impressive, I had 3 nails that broke, and needed to get glued so they didn't break the whole way. Amy took her time, glued them, and cleaned them up with a dremel tool - it was great. She was meticulous and even did 3 coats (which is so great). The place is extremely clean, and although its a bit expensive, it was worth every penny. Probably the worst mani/pedi I have received. Very very overpriced for the services offered. Go a classic mani/pedi, which with tip came to over $100 dollars. The classic mani pedi consists of just putting lotion on your hands and polishing the nails-- no cuticle care, no care to the rough skin on your feet. Atmosphere is beautiful yes-- but not worth it to get a job I can do in my own home. read more

After my poor experience at my usual nail salon in Manayunk I decided to give LaBelle a try. The good: I called for an appointment this morning and they were able to fit me in at 11:15 after initially being busy at that time. As I arrived, the water was already in the basin and warm. They have very comfy chairs and they offer you water or a drink as you get your pedicure. The woman doing my toes was great.. she spent a lot of time and attention to detail to the job and gave me a wonderful massage (that was not rushed). They use basin covers and new tools during your appointment, so very clean and sanitary. The owner and tech were very friendly and welcoming. The meh: The luxe pedicure is very expensive at $62.00. In their defense, they do a wonderful massage and really take their time on your feet, but for comparison at my old salon (H20 Nail Salon) they do a hot stone massage, paraffin on your heels, regular massage and then a back massage as your toes dry (sometimes depending on how busy they were, the massages were shorter) all for $30.00. I am sure since their products here are organic and such that their products DO cost more at baseline, but I do think $62.00 is a bit pricey. Worth it: If you are sick of waiting at your regular nail salon for your service after you made an appointment.. this place is for you because they take you ON TIME. If you are sick of people being rude and talking loudly and being on their phones in nail salons.. this place is for you because it is very quiet and relaxing. Will possibly return if I want to really treat myself for a pedicure. The only thing that would make me second guess returning would be the price, but as noted above everything here was great, just more expensive than most pedicures (but not surprising since this is the "main line"). read more

So I'm writing this review today not because I went to LaBelle, but for the first time in a year I didn't. I've gotten so spoiled at LaBell; gorgeous salon, always immaculate, always taken on time, and my nails are always perfect! The owner is hands on and does a phenomenal job running the business. I get the dazzle dry pedicure that's looks perfect for weeks. It usually grows out before it chips, which is great for someone like me that can't always get in every two weeks. So for the first time in awhile I had nails done elsewhere with a bridal party. I thought I would be fine. Walked right in, had a gel mani and pedi done in under an hour, and was cheap, but the place was a little chaotic and dirty. Well, you get what you pay for! The pedicure had two chips before the end of the day and the gel manicure started lifting the next day...absolutely awful! What I didn't peel off myself over the next week looked absolutely horrible. It drove me nuts! I'm so happy to have an appointment back at LaBelle, and will definitely not be straying again! Thanks for spoiling me LaBelle:) read more

Not one thing bad you can say about this place. Vicky is my go to girl when I come here and get services. She's such a sweetie. They're pricey but it's justified. From sanitation to decor to polish selection, scheduling, service, etc., it's tip top, top notch. Also; they're a natural nail salon. The owner, Oahn, is very hospitable, quite fashionable, greets everyone who walks through the door and ensures that you're taken care of. This salon caters to those with discerning taste. I haven't been in a few months due to relocation but even so I will return once I get back up that way. There was basically not foot or hand massages, which is usually my favorite part of the whole mani/pedi experience. My pet peeve with gel is when it's applied above the nail bed so that it already looks a few days old and this was how she painted my nails. A week later and it looks terrible. Quite underwhelmed with the customer service experience and the dazzle dry polish, despite the proclamations, had an imprint I noticed upon leaving. Customer service is a non-negotiable ESPECIALLY when paying a premium for an ordinary service...routine manicures & pedicures. Not only was the owner insouciant & didn't have the wherewithal to greet a paying customer, they didn't offer so much as a glass of water, nor asked if I needed anything to create the impression of the consummate experience. There were no accoutrements to support an elevated experience despite the elevated price point. I have NO problem paying more but it's illogical for me to pay more solely for a tony zip code & an attractive facade but unremarkable service. For me, this was more form than substance. I tried this for the first time this week. From the ease if booking an appointment online to the gorgeous, tranquil, friendly atmosphere to my relaxing pedicure and manicure this place is great! However, I happily discovered the owner is also a Nurse with knowledge of sterilization of her equipment! Trust me, no other nail salon that I have EVER been to is sterilizing the equipment. No more cross contamination from one customer to another. I will gladly pay a few more dollars to keep myself safe. read more

Dawn did my gel manicure and took her time and helped me pick a color- which is great because I take forever! It is definitely more expensive than the average gel manicure (37$) but for the convenience, professionalism and very nice gel mani it was worth it. Okay so I've been going to .my regular nail salon for about 2 years now and I have no complaints...I mean none..but I've been super busy working 2 jobs and with that my nails were truly neglected...I work on the main line and my salon is in Fishtown plus I was going away and needed a nail salon that was closer to my 2nd job..hence I found LaBelle...My nail tech was hilarious..(Vicky) very personable..salon is immaculate and I loved the massage chairs I never ever use the massage feature b/c I always feel beat up...but the chairs at Labelle were very nice.I opted for the Luxe mani ..I needed it... did I mention neglect?...yes I did. The coconut massage...The hot stones..nice..oh wait the keratin treatment...nice..nice..nice the mani.. as and the gel polish. Then it was time for the pedi..I booked another person b/c Vicky wasn't available after my mani but the owner said Vicky could do it immediately after my mani instead of waiting 45 minutes.. .cool....Regular pedi...quick dry polish..my feet (Thank God) were not as neglected as my hands. So...after all was said and done I paid $111 for a luxe mani and regular pedi...which averages out to $55.50 for a mani and pedi whereas my regular salon average is around $37.50 not including crystals, designs etc. Plus my salon does not charge $10 for quick dry polish. Minus the hot stones my regular salon does everything that Labelle does except it doesn't have a Main Line address. Overall if I was in a pinch I would definitely go back to Labelle. read more

The Labelle Nail Bar was very clean with a calm and almost serene atmosphere. The staff was friendly and welcoming, i was seated immediately upon my arrival. I went there for a gel removal and gel manicure. When I met the manicurist, I showed her a broken nail that I had and asked if she could do a "tip" so that it could be even with the rest of my nails. This is when I learned of their limited nail services. They only do natural nails here, I was a little disappointed but...fine. So she does the gel removal, she shaped and buffed, she put these warm lotion filled bags on my hands, trims my cuticles, paints my nails and say ok that's it... I say, "no massage?" Mind you, this service is $65 and includes massage in the description. The manicurist behind me, moments before, asked her client if she wants a massage but I wasn't asked. She then sighs, but quickly smiles and say "oh you want a massage" and proceeds to gently pat lotion on the back of my hand. Again I was disappointed, massage is the best part for me. I feel like for the cost, I should have gotten all that was in the service description, which I did not. My nails were cute though. read more

LaBelle was able to fit me in for a same day appointment, which was much appreciated. I arrived with my four week old, asleep in his car seat. As luck would have it, about 15 minutes into my appointment, he woke up from his nap and started to get fussy. The staff at LaBelle swooped in and immediately offered to comfort him so I could enjoy the rest of my service. The held him, keeping him comfortable, in my line of vision, for the next 25 minutes. Best of all, they did not make me feel guilty at all! It was super professional and went above and beyond. On top of the special care, the manicure was fantastic and tailored to what my nails needed. I went for the first time to LaBelle for a Brazilian wax. I told the woman I wanted to keep a strip of hair about 1/2" wide and pointed to the top area. She proceeded to rip all of my hair off the top! When I realized what she had done I reacted with surprise, and she said she thought I meant leave a strip of hair below, in the more sensitive area. This is something she should have clarified up front rather than assume what I meant. Nobody else who's waxed me EVER was mistaken about what I wanted. So that was a disappointment. She also worked very fast and it hurt a lot. She used too many large strips rather than doing the sensitive areas with smaller strips so it wouldn't hurt so much. She also didn't pretreat my skin with anything as people have always done elsewhere. She apologized "for the pain"... But she also could've done something about it by being more gentle and working more slowly. Needless to say I won't be going back there and do not recommend them. read more

I don't get manicures very often - - - maybe because up until LaBelle I really haven't had ones that were much better than diy. But here, from the bright sunlit; clean space to the moisturizing gloves; stress-reducing hand massage; brand new nail buffer and emery boards, to the professional, extremely thorough cuticle trimming (mine were a mess), and careful polish, I was impressed enough to see myself coming back for regular manicures from now on. I realize that sometimes it's up to the manicurist . . . just like any other service job where the individual makes or breaks your experience, so I would probably go back to Sarah, who was phenomenal. Also, $25 is more than I've ever spent on a regular manicure, but it was worth it and my cuticles look fantastic! From start to finish, our manicures took just under 1 hour. Beverages are also offered; my daughter and I opted for water, but I saw some champagne flutes around. . . . maybe next time! read more
