I am not sure how much help I'm going to be with respect to this review given I'm not from Philadelphia and I've only experienced Eagleville nails this one time but as a girly who gets her nails done every two to four weeks I'm pretty confident I can talk about experience of application design and cleanliness to the salon I'm going to be forthright and just say save your money and go somewhere else this place is truly the definition of you get the quality you pay for My friend is going through a break up and it being my last day in Philly. I decided to treat her to get her nails done with me. My nails didn't really need to be redone, but I figured we're here. We want to spend quality time together. I wanna get rid of my New Year's eve nails, and do something cute for the end of January before I make an appointment at my usual place in Los Angeles For Valentine's Day nails She used to be a frequent goer at Eagleville while we had initially attempted to go somewhere else closer to where she lived we decided to go and try this place out when we walked in. She informed me her usual nail lady wasn't there so we just went with whoever was first available We ended up, leaving not loving our nails, but because I had to catch a flight, we settled on what we got They have one lady named Heather doing the nail design although she's really sweet and she could do hearts pretty well. It seems that replicating even the simplest designs didn't produce quality work. My friend and I had an initial text who prepped the nails for Heather I can't speak for my friend, but I know that while she received a full set, the nails didn't fit her nail bed, and that caused an issue when it came to her designs The girl who initially worked on my nails, filed my old gel polish off so much so that I could see she caused rings of fire on my nail beds and then drilled a hole in my right ring finger, causing me to have to lose significant length because I would need to Trim all my nails to match My shape although I was on her to make them round are still often lumpy and skewed on some sides after the fourth time of correcting her I just gave up and figured I'm only paying $35 for these nails. I can get them fixed in Los Angeles when the time comes Usually I pay in LA the price I paid for my gel manicure with design and my friends full set gel manicure with design. Additionally, aside from my nails, not being shaped properly and application of polish being applied lumpy the color is completely off I initially wanted her to give me OPI's put it in neutral as my base, but I don't think she understood that nor do I think they had that color in stock so she suggested bubble bath which I have gotten in multiple times before as a French base However, when she put the first application on, I knew it wasn't the correct color we all know bubble bath is a sheer pink that's a perfect nude for a base French however, this one's really opaque and it turns my normal French tips into pink and whites which isn't really a vibe I want as I'm not stuck in the 90s But again after correcting her multiple times, I gave up because I had a flight to catch, and the overall cost wasn't worth the fight nor the quality I was getting My friend had a very similar experience with respect to polish application and design where she had to correct Heather and show her the reference photo multiple times but after correcting the application she just gave up given. We were on a time constraint I needed to catch a flight. I keep learning this lesson to never cheat on my nail ladies, especially when I'm out of town but again I want to do something nice for my friend. I'll live with the poor design. I'll live with the color. I'll live with the lumps. I'll live with the crookedness, and ill live with the unevenness. Just kinda bummed this was meant to be a fun girls bonding experience especially with it being my last day in Philly and it turned out to be a waste of money and disappointment read more

Came here for the first time to get a soak off, which everyone seemed really mad about doing without me getting a new set (I'm giving my nails a break). I got cycled between three techs, the first one cut one of my fingers lightly, which is fine- it happens. The second one took an actual chunk out of the corner of my thumb, to the point that I was bleeding a lot. The third tech rushed through the process and left my nails looking like THIS at the end. Was not impressed at this salon. The actual experience of the leg massage and pedicure was fine I guess, however the nail polish wiped off me within two days on a couple toes. The woman also added a tip on top of the tip that I had already provided. I let it slide because the guy was very nice and accommodating, otherwise I would've said something. I probably won't return because the quality of work was not worth the price. My nails were cut unevenly and shorter so I wasn't impressed. read more

Literally walk out of here every time unhappy. They over charge like crazy and make unnecessary rules. They gave me $30 on a card because they over charged me back in February for my nails. I went back to get my feet done because it only costs $30 so I was just going to use that credit they gave me. when I went to pay the lady (Helen) is going to tell me I can only use $15 and that I have to pay out of pocket $15. Im like why if you gave me $30 on this card. When she first gave me the $30 she didn't mention having to split the payment every time I wanted to use it. Anyways they make unnecessary rules, are unfair, and charge for EVERY little thing. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

The quality of the nails are great, the experience has left much to be desired. They don't care about your time. I made an appt for 4pm with a specific nail tech, was told to come in early and I could start getting my feet done. I get there 15 minutes before my appt (3:45pm for a 4pm appt). They begin my nails while I'm in the pedicure chair, the pedicure takes longer to start then they expect. Instead of finishing my nails while I'm in the chair they start someone else's nails. My pedicure finishes, I'm sitting for over 40 minutes while another client has her nails done to her liking. I needed to leave by 6:30 and I gave them the heads up, at 6 I realized they weren't going to be able to finish my nails (I asked for a design and showed it to the nail tech, she said she was able to do it) although I arrived at 3:45 for a 4pm appt with over 2 and a half hours of time. They tried to convince me they could do it - o told them I didn't believe them and I needed them to finish the liquid gel application and I'd be on my way. I asked for them to waive the $25 nail design cost the next time I come in to compensate for the waste of my time and I was offered 10% off the nail design ($2.50). This is my fourth time here and each time my nails are upwards of $100, I tip the hand nail tech $20 and the feet nail tech $10 and I found it incredibly disrespectful to offer me $2.50 off to compensate for prioritizing another client over me despite us both having appointments and my appt being first. The first time I went I had a similar experience of my time not being respected and the quality of the nails made me give this place a second chance. I had two great experiences since then before this one. It's a shame because the nails are quality, but it doesn't make up for that poor of an experience 2 out of 4 times so I won't be returning. read more

My daughter and I were looking for a salon pretty much last minute for her upcoming wedding in two days. We are procrastinators. We ended up here for two reasons: we couldn't find any salons on the strip of Lancaster Ave. that did acrylic (who knew?) and one kind shop owner pointed and said "go there". So we schlepped on in. It was 5:15pm and we were looking for a full set and pedis. Like I said, procrastinators. They were wonderful! They took their time, did it right with great results. I have to update my review because the service I received last time is horrible. I love the owner so much but her employees are unprofessional. I went in for a pedi & overlay which I explained from the beginning but of course as soon as a woman who they felt was more important than little ol me she told me she couldn't do my nails anymore . I was so pissed; I walked out. I would advise anyone going here to not go unless the owner Tina is working that way mishaps like this won't happen again. Out of all the nail salons on the main line they are the least inexpensive. I got a mani/pedi for $30 which isn't a bad deal at all. Of course I'm not sipping a mimosa while receiving a pedi but I'm still receiving a great message & amazing service so I'll sacrifice the drink for that. Worst french manicure I've ever gotten. First of all, it's not cheap. A french is $17. Maybe I should have just gotten a color, but I wanted a french. This came back to haunt me at the end. Now, you should know that I didn't sit idly by and wait until it was over to rush home and post. I stopped the tech after ONE nail and told her the white polish was too thick. She kept going for the whole hand - then asked me again - again, I said - no, the polish is too thick. It was ridged and clotted and looked like - well, like that! Clotted, not smooth and shiny. So, she roughly removed the polish from the whole hand, and started again with the white - same bottle of polish, only this time with no base coat. So, I stopped her again, and said, no, the polish is too thick, and now, I have no base coat. The manager came over, and they exchanged some words in a language I don't speak (don't want to assume the language) and she switched bottles, added a base coat and started over. She STILL did a terrible job. The manager told me it will all look ok when it dries. So, I dried for 20 minutes, and then I went over the manager and told her: This is the worst manicure I've ever had. The white is all ridged and bumpy, the topcoat is all over my fingers. She defended her tech, touched up a few nails, told me it was my fault for wanting a french, recommended that I get a color next time - to which I replied - no one here can do french? She basically shrugged and told me to 'take care' as I walked out. I should have asked for my money back. There are many many places to get a manicure in Ardmore. Choose another. read more

With the plethora of nail salons in Ardmore there is need for keeping the highest standards in order to compete. I used this place for years until I went to another where hot tea was served and my back was massaged while my nails dried. Eagleville has perfectly adequate technicians but the ambiance is lacking. At one point or another it is hoped that the place is dusted and cleaned. In the years I went there the fake flowers were never dusted. Ultimately it was the barely useful ladies' room that made me move on to other, cleaner nail places. It is not meant to be Millenium or Young's Nails in Wynnewood but, come on....get a steamer in there and clean the joint up to a reasonable standard. read more
