They have no concept of professionalism or positive customer service. As a walking, I got a gel manicure on Tuesday and my nails are peeling already and today is Thursday. When I was done (which I was not aware of), the technician come out of the back room, walked by me (I was sitting at station #2), she was almost at the register when she said to me, with a flipped wave, "you're done". I had to ask for lotion and she did not provide a warm towel for your hands. I went there in a pinch and doubt I will patronize that place again. For those of you who don't recognize their unacceptable ways, that's because you are use to them. I however am not. At the very least, I or we all should expect a high degree of customer service. We are the paying customers. After all, there are nail salons on every corner. As a matter of fact, I will not return. This is my go-to for a quick brow wax. Perfect job every time and they do it in a private waxing room. I've never waited more than 5 minutes and you can't beat the $7 price tag. This location was previously M&A Nails and, from what I've heard, it's the same folks working there, they just changed the name to distinguish themselves from the M&A in Springfield. The menu does say they're open on Mondays, but I'm pretty sure the front door now says closed that day, so I'd call ahead to check before heading over if you were thinking about it. read more

Came here for a gel manicure with my mom. This place is located in a small strip of stores by the McDonalds. I will say the price is more than reasonable, but the quality is just not there. The workers were friendly. The job seemed kinda rushed and my nails were done quicker than normal. Mine turned out good, although not the best. But, my mom's manicure wasn't great and got bubbles within the next couple days. Overall, this place isn't bad if you are looking for a cheap place to get your nails done, but I would prefer to spend a bit more for somewhere nicer. read more

It seems like the men are actually the best at Cedar. They are both GREAT with acrylic and dip powder. If you want a plain polish manicure or pedicure, you run the risk of getting one of the female technicians who historically have not been as FABULOUS as their male colleagues (unless you make an appointment with someone you like and trust). There have been times that Mike will clean and buff my nails, set my acrylic then one of the ladies will take over to do the polish and it's always a little disappointing since Mike does such a good job then it isn't finished in the same way. I have yet to get a gel manicure but I would assume the same applies. I have now moved on to the SNS dip powder and make an appointment with Mike every time! read more

Tried a dip manicure for the first time and I am NOT impressed. My cuticles weren't cut at all, which is why I get manicures in the first place. My skin is stuck to my nails on multiple fingers and I have bumps all over my nails. Worst $40 I have ever spent. I Will NOT be recommending this salon. read more

Mike does the most incredible job with my dip powder nails!!! He is meticulous and I never have to ask him to correct anything. I get perfect nails every visit and will not go anywhere else. They are closed on Mondays but are usually quiet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the mornings. read more

The customers service is okay, however the performance is pretty bad when it actually comes to polishing the nails. The gel nail polish looked very streaky and when I let them know, they told me I chose a color that was too light. But what I don't get is why the color that that they show on the fake nail doesn't show up the same way on my finger?? It looked perfectly fine on the fake nail There are no streaks. Don't advertise what you can't perform. Also, I did get a darker color previously and their excuse that time was that they color was a hard color to work with. I was never offered the option to switch the color or anything. Needless to say, I'll be looking for a different nail salon that can actually do nails. read more

So. Yesterday I go and get my nails done. I walk into the salon at 5:40 pm. Salon closes at 7:30 pm. I asked for a pedicure & a color change for my SNS Powder on my nails. I get a man; whom I've NEVER seen work there before. I thought he was just going to remove my SNS to prep me for the nail techs that I normally see revolving to do nails. Still didn't get any prep for a pedicure. So as this older gentleman is doing my nails, the vibe just feels off. He's actually proceeding to do my SNS color change. I decided to give him a chance instead of making a big fuss about it. While doing it, he skipped an entire step that I had to REMIND him to do because he was messing up the entire color change. Well he finishes the color change. Nails are totally uneven, color tones are completely different, AND not to mention I have some nicks in my cuticles. AND I DID NOT EVEN GET A PEDICURE! So once I'm done drying I ask to speak to the owner of the business. I explain that I come every two weeks and I've never had a problem with people prior doing my nails. I explained what happened with the person I was given, and how he didn't know how to do the service I asked for. The lady told me she would give me $5.00 off. Ummm no, that's not acceptable. The service fee is usually $30, I'm not paying $25 for a service that was HALF DONE. So while I'm speaking to her, she literally looks away from me AND PROCEEDS TO TALK TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER. And takes a payment from her. Like blatant disrespect. Now I could have resorted to my old ways, cursed her out. I could have just walked out, but I didn't do that either. I PATIENTLY waited for her to finish. She turns back to me with an attitude and says so how much you wanna pay. I told her that I would pay $15 for the half decent job I received. She didn't apologize. She didn't try to make it right. It was made to seem like I was some type of burden or causing a problem when I wasn't. Honestly, I wanted to share this story, to show the LACK of customer service was given. And also, the idea that in a rush it doesn't matter who you are, you won't always be valued as a customer to some people. Granted I've only been going to this salon for a few months, but I stay loyal to where I go if the service is good and I am RESPECTED as a customer. Even though the service wasn't as top notch as I had previously received, I would have went back if I was TREATED WITH RESPECT AS A PAYING CUSTOMER. I could have walked out, due to the attitude I was given. But I didn't. I still choose to pay SOMETHING over nothing for the service I did receive. Anyone that knows me, knows I take my nails super personal. So that was a big thing for me. Either way I won't be returning to that establishment, and I'm looking for a new place to go. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTA. I really really wanted to like this place. It's super convenient to my house, the prices are right; etc but I've gone several times and just never been happy. They really push SNS dip powder nails here. I was used to gel but willing to give SNS a try. I love how long SNS lasts but everytime I've gotten here the technician puts it on SO thick. My bails look completely fake. I've known friends who have gotten them elsewhere and it seems the techs are in such a rush here they don't take the time to put it on thinly. When I returned to Cedar to have my SNS removed (the proper way) the recompile yet destroyed my nails. They use a drill to remove it rather than the soaking method. It's been over two months and my nails are STILL completely destroyed. Since then I've gone back to another salon I had liked (and another new salon) and they both asked what happened to my nails - they could not figure out why my nails looked so ridiculously thin and damaged. I have only given 4 stars because I have been here twice so far to get dip powder. They are very professional and the biggest thing for me is that they're not rushy and doing half-ass work even when they were busy the first time i went. I was there still while it was close to their closing time and they didn't speed through and skip steps, they took the time to make sure the nails were done right. I have been to a lot of salons and this one is not only detailed but very quick too. Also they are very gentle to make sure they are not cutting or scraping your skin with the electric polishers (I can actually relax when I'm here and not flinch the whole time anymore). i've had one of the worst experiences with this nail place. i normally go there to get my dipped nails done and they stay on good and everything. the girl that did my nails did not know what she was doing. i got 2 different colors of powder. there was cracks everywhere on my nails every time i do my hair it would come out and get caught on my nail. they all fell off after 1 week. i paid 70 dollars for these shitty ass nails. i will never go back! i do not recommend this place to anyone. corona made them lazy. they get paid more and do a shittier job. read more
