Recently visited the salon and advised them that I only had 1 hand. They quoted me a price that I assumed reflected my situation. There Is No Price list on display in the salon. Later after checking on-line I realized that I was charged for a full manicure. When I questyioned the amount I was advised that there was no price accomodation for me. I will not be going back. Beautiful classy salon with a lovely atmosphere! I've been meaning to visit this Black owned business for years and finally got the chance to go. My entire experience was pleasant and professional from the time I booked my appointment to when I walked out the door. The lady who answered the phone was incredibly warm & polite. My tech, Samara, gave me an excellent pedicure which included some extras you don't get at typical nail salons like a warm scrub that felt amazing and oil to finish. The ambiance was peaceful & relaxing. This was a much better alternative to the shoddy service I've been getting at other neighborhood nail salons. I will definitely be back! read more

This place is amazing with the kindest people and a comfortable environment. There was free street parking available. We came here for a 60 minute couple's massage because of a Groupon we purchased. You have to come 10 minutes before your appointment to fill out a paper and then you wait a bit before entering a small, cozy room. This was the first time I ever got a massage and it was very relaxing and the massage therapists knew exactly what they were doing. The only downside was the massage itself only lasted probably 45 minutes. However, the people here were so nice and they gave us water after the massage. My boyfriend even decided to get a haircut afterwards and it turned out great! They also do manicures and pedicures here. I highly recommend this salon! read more

Went to this location today for the very first time and let's just say....I WILL be a repeat customer! Due to covid-19, there were precautions set in place and I appreciate that for all of our safety. Right as I walked in, a wonderful lady took my temperature and provided me with hand sanitizer. I was wearing a mask as required and so were they (kudos). My eyebrows (aka caterpillars) were in some serious need of TLC! They are thin as heck so I'm always leery of allowing people to do them! Haven't had them touched by a professional in 5+ years, so I took a chance. Bayyyyyybeee Chavonne/Shavonne got my life together in less than 15 minutes! I normally tear up from the pain of getting them done,but she was so gentle with these delicate brows of mine. No tears and no rips or issues whatsoever. Everyone (3 workers) in this establishment were so pleasant and the customer service was amazing. Definitely excited to go back and try out different services. For Foot Care - Tomika is the best. She is as believer in trade education. While on her most recent seminar, she was introduced to a product for cracked heels. Well I am happy she did because between my semi-annual visit to the podiatrist they were never able to "heal ' the cracks in the heel of my feet. Tomika found a product that I 100% stand by and it is a multi level formula. The cracks are closing and I am not embarrased to wear an open heel sandals. Growing up I always had a problem with acne. Knowing that it was hereditary, I figured there was no way to help control the breakouts. Yet, I decided I would do my best to clear my skin. Birth control pills, proactive, retina micro and antibiotics became part of my life. After trying 3 different dermatologists, I finally found one that offered all the right products. My skin cleared and I knew the products were working; family and friends who knew the challenges I had with my skin immediately noticed the difference. As excited as I was at the age of 28 to see my skin at its best, money became an issue. Sixty dollar copay and $100 - $200 monthly prescriptions filled, brought me to the decision to no longer see my dermatologist. Let all the prescriptions run out and I would figure out the rest. Over the counter topical washes became my lifestyle. A 3 step acne wash, Cetaphil, Dove and finally Neutrogena were the products used to help with my lifetime struggle of bad skin. Fortunately, I was offered an opportunity to trial a facial peel given by esthetician, Chyvonne Shackelford of 3rd Element Spa & Salon. Six weeks ago the process began and six weeks later I'm going to miss every moment. Not only was it a time of relaxation, but it was a time to begin the process of clear skin. We started with a cranberry peel followed by 5 weeks of salicylic acid peels. The cranberry peel was an introduction, a fruit based peel to begin the process of open pores and even skin. I knew by week one I wouldn't see an immediate difference, yet I trusted the process. By week two the salicylic peel was used and immediately I felt the difference in potency, but realized the slight discomfort was doing what it needed to open pores and even skin. Furthermore, after the cooling mask was applied everything felt like normal. I was given a soap to use day and night as part of the process, with a moisturizer (my own) to follow. After about the 3rd week I could see a difference. Less breakouts, maybe one during my cycle, but as women with loads of hormones that is bound to happen. Yet, my sister even said, "your skin looks good and mine is breaking out." I told her to try the peels for clear even skin. Every persons skin is different, however if acne has been or is currently something you have struggled with I recommend you call 3rd Element for details on the treatment. Unfortunately (for them) they lost a recurring client. I'm not 100% sure who my partner spoke with but they were given such a hassle when trying to purchase a massage package for me for Christmas. Mind you I had already been there, they have a record of my visit, I'm sure they still have the credit card I used to reserve my appointment via StyleSeat in their system, which is the same credit card I used to pay for my previous session. Why they gave my partner such a ridiculously hard time about purchasing a gift certificate, and when they offered to just pay for the services and allow me to redeem it when I came in, they gave them this speech about having an ID etc. Ummm my ID was never checked when I paid for my first visit nor was it in anyway required. I love this place! I was looking for a place that was within walking distance to my house, and found Element spa. I go every two weeks for a gel manicure and pedicure, and I'm always pleased with my results. I also like the quiet and peaceful environment that allows me to relax. First of all it was my first and my last time going there. I made an appointment and made me wait for almost 45 minutes before being seeing. I was told over the phone the first time customer would get the Brazilian wax for &40 after the service the charged me $70. When I get a wax it takes up to two or three weeks before I see the hair coming, after three days it feels like I needed to get it done again. The area wasn't properly wax I can see the hair poking at me like right after the session was over. I asked her to use hard wax not soft wax, She refused. The place smells like mold. She used small strips which makes the waxing longer and more painful instead of using a generous size of strip to do the job. She didn't wipe the areas before and after my wax for sanitize reason. I needed to get my hair done and researched a lot of salons and ended up picking this one well bc it was close to my house. Happy I did, Brenda was my stylist, she did a great job. She takes her time to make sure your hair looks nice. I've been one to suffer from acne throughout my life and I've tried many remedies to cure the problem (e.g., ProActive, Neutrogena Acne Wash, facial creams, etc.). After discussing my issues with Chyvonne, my esthetician, she suggested visiting a dermatologist and a series of enzyme peels. Listening to her professional advice I found a dermatologist who prescribed me a daily regimen. While this proved to be effective after approximately three months, I continued to get monthly breakouts that caused scarring and blemishes. After using the products prescribed by the dermatologist for five months Chyvonne and I talked about the enzyme peels. I did a little research on the products and talked it over with my dermatologist who indicated it would be an asset for my skin. The enzyme peels were over a period of six weeks. Chyvonne explained the process to me prior to beginning the peels and she demonstrated patience as I asked many questions. She let me know that there would be some sensation and possible redness because of my complexion. As with any facial product that I've ever used, my skin needed to adjust to the peels throughout the six-week process. In addition to being knowledgeable, she was caring and concerned about how I felt during the process. There was expected sensation and redness during the first session, however, the result of a clear and glowing complexion was evident. I smiled as I looked in the mirror and left 3rd Element. The sensation subsided by the second week and it was minimal during week three and thereafter. After week three I received so many compliments on my clear and glowing skin from co-workers, family members and friends. My scars and blemishes are gone, my complexion is consistent, and I didn't experience any breakouts during the six-week sessions. My overall experience was AMAZING! The accommodations, professionalism, knowledge, and services provided by Chyvonne and other 3rd Element staff members made it a pleasure to visit the venue each week.
