I told the Aesthetician that I had bad reactions to Botox, but she dismissed my remarks saying that they. my doctor (migraine protocol and muscular Botox for Myofascitis by a Neurologist) "They just did it in the wrong place" and disregarded that I did not want Botox, just filler along the lip line for wrinkles above the lip and maybe the lines next to my mouth. As she was doing shots in my face, she says as the needle is in my face, "just a little toxin". I ended up looking like Quasimodo or a monster (see first 3 pictures below). It cost me $1600+ for procedures I did NOT ask for and I DID NOT want and turned me into something grotesque. They refused to reimburse me for procedures later that I did not want nor ask for. I did not take pictures for over a week or more of myself because I could not look at myself. I also could not talk right, pronounce hard consonants, eat or drink because the water would just pour out of my mouth because I could not move my lips and my jaw, and I could not move my mouth or jaw to eat, drink or speak (= Botox). So, 3 of the pictures are the pictures from over a week or so after (less than the worst of it). I was told after the injections to come back in 2 weeks for them to finish. What! More money and work after over $1600? The last 3 pictures are from a week before the injections and at the time of a Zoom job interview and before they started to change my face into the disfigurement it became (...See the before and after pictures below). After 2 months I still find myself tripping over consonants and have to repeat them with very thoughtful pronunciations. I would not recommend Skin Smart.

Take your chances with booking here. *** Reviews under another Yelp profile and Google are inflated- probably friends/family and/or AI.*** I booked a 90-minute massage to start at 2:15pm. I arrived around 1:55pm, and was escorted to a waiting area. 2:15 pm rolled around, and Cari (I didn't know who she was at the time) came to the waiting area with two other women. They proceeded to chat about Cari's dog, family, and all sorts of things while I waited patiently for 15 minutes past my appointment time (it was 2:30pm by the time the women left). Somewhere in the conversation, her name was said, which confused me...Like, is she really sitting here chatting about life during my appointment time?? I went to the bathroom right after the women left, and Cari greeted me and took me downstairs around 2:33pm. She didn't acknowledge her tardiness, apologize, or anything. Very unprofessional and problematic. By the time she started my massage, it was 2:40pm (remember, this is a "2:15pm, 90-min massage"). She ended at 3:55pm. How many minutes is that? 75 minutes. I left and didn't tip because her generous tip was already built into the $205 she was prepaid for a 75-minute massage. I called later to share my complaint, and she claimed that "undressing and all that is included in the 90 minutes. You received an 80-minute massage." LIES!!! She started at 2:40pm and ended at 3:55pm---75 minutes. If you add my undressing time, we can *generously* say it was 78 minutes. All of this is after she called at the last minute about my initial massage 2 weeks prior because she said, "I have to volunteer for a basketball tournament, and I just received the schedule. I can book you with a male massage therapist." Ma'am, why was my appointment confirmed if you had other life priorities??? And I had already explicitly put on the form that I wanted a female massage therapist, as the website stated I should. Red flag...But I had a non-refundable gift certificate that was already paid for, so at that point I had no choice but to use it. She would not acknowledge that her approach was problematic, and I think she didn't care because she was already paid and wanted to get on to whatever was next in her life at 4pm.

Let's dive in to the bizarre sequence of events: Via phone call and text with the owner of Remedy Spa - Cari Young, I scheduled an appointment to visit her business for three massages and facials for myself and my two sisters. On our call, owner - Cari informed me that I would have to pay a 50% deposit prior to my visit, but then followed up with an invoice for the full amount of $460. In good faith, I paid Cari in full. I never received a confirmation email, text or call that Cari had received the payment and nothing to confirm the time of service (this part is important). The day of my scheduled appointment, while en route to Philadelphia from NY, I received a text message from Cari stating that I would have to pay a $40.00 late fee because I was not on time for my appointment. Yes - the appointment in which we never received anything beyond a verbal confirmation. To keep the peace, and not spoil my pamper day with my sisters - I agreed to pay the late fee in an effort to ensure our experience was a good one. After our services were complete I gave Cari $100.00 in hand. I thanked her for the services and stated 40.00 will cover the late fee and 60.00 is for a tip. While we were not pleased with the facials, we were satisfied with our massages. Shortly after leaving the spa, I received a call from Cari asking if I noticed the $100 tip after I had given it to her. This was rather strange. I informed Cari that she had walked us out of the spa and to the exit immediately following our services, so I was unaware of where the funds had been placed by her. In the days to come Cari contacted the friend who referred me to share that the $100 was missing and indirectly suggest that my party may have taken it. She also texted me to inform me that she had not recovered the funds, to which my response was "Im sure you simply misplaced it, please let me know when you recover it." At this point the client/business relationship felt beyond informal and now completely casual. The following week I heard from Cari again when she asked me to share my personal IG page with her so she could tag me in a post of myself and my sisters from our day at the spa. It was at that time I informed Cari that I did not want to be on her social media page because 1. I did not enjoy my experience and 2. I find her to be unprofessional. This is when Cari decided to accuse me of stealing the tip I gave her and she misplaced. To paraphrase she said "I have a video and I will post it to all of my social media outlets". BE CLEAR: I know without a shadow of a doubt that no one in my party would EVER stoop so low to steal from a business. With that said I encouraged (and still encourage) Cari to proceed with sharing her non-existent video. Needless to say, and to no one's surprise - said video never surfaced. Cari then blocked me from her business Instagram page and began harassing me via her personal Instagram. She made a public post, to which she tagged me (she found my IG page on her own) - accusing me of stealing not only the $100 I gave her but now also a spa robe, (see attached image of her post). Cari has made a threat to contact the police - which she has yet to do. To that - I also encourage her to contact the appropriate authorities. I have never been so disappointed in money spent with a small business in my life. In short, if you've made it this far, or if you just scrolled past my above essay - let me say this in no unclear terms: I WHOLEHEARTEDLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS.

I said that wouldn't work because I would be getting them dissolved and fixed, and she kept saying 2 weeks, then she said she wouldn't give me a refund after all. She blamed me, saying she "told me" she would be doing part of my cheeks too? What? My under eyes literally have nothing done to them and I look way worse; like I said before, the experienced injectors, and the MD all said she did it all wrong. I told her I'd leave her a negative review and she said "God bless, God doesn't like ugly people". I now have to spend way more money than I initially spent to get the botched job dissolved and applied to the correct location. Believe the other two reviews posted on here about her "practice". Don't go to Candace. She is a mean person with poor customer service skills. Unprofessional and doesn't give a crap about her customers.

This place is incredible. I booked an appointment for a massage with Geri. I was a little shy/nervous as this was my first professional massage. Chrissy, the owner and Kelsi, the receptionist made me feel welcome and right at home from the moment I walked in. I picked the Swedish massage with the hot stone treatment & aromatherapy. I can honestly say I've never felt so relaxed in my life. The energy Geri puts into you is magical. I felt like all the tension in my body just melted away. I'm relaxed just thinking about it!
