I've visited this place several times with my family, but today I came alone and had a very disappointing experience. As an African American male, I couldn't help but feel like I was being treated differently. The technician stopped multiple times to talk on her phone and chat with people in the neighborhood instead of focusing on my service. She rushed through the job and even cut my cuticle, which was painful and careless. I had planned to get a manicure as well, but after being treated so poorly, I decided not to spend any more of my money here. If you value respect and quality service, I think it's a nice place but I think this technician just assumed it was my first time. read more

Me and my husband just came from here. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure and he got a regular pedicure. The girl that did my pedicure was fast and efficient and my pedicure came out looking good. The girl that did my husband's pedicure is the same girl that did my husband's pedicure. She was so rough, too rough. I found out from him later on that she did the same thing that she did to me. Pulled the skin on his big toe and made it bleed and I had some light loose skin on my finger and she did the same thing to me. If you have light loose skin on your finger you don't pull it to make it worse you cut it!! Nevertheless, this is a one and done for me. Then when we were leaving, the total price was $105, she took $10 off cause we paid in cash. He gave her $100, and I told him to let her have the $5 that was left and give her another $3. Came here recently for a pedicure. I didn't have to wait at all despite not having an appointment. The place is very nice and they really give you the "spa treatment" here. The pedicure chairs are so comfy and are the vibrating massage kind. I got the basic pedicure, but the lady really took her time and did a good job and it felt great. My feet look good and I definitely would come back here again. My only complaints are: -$30 for the basic pedicure I feel is a bit high. If you want the "spa pedicure" with hot stone it's going to cost you $65. - You can't put tips on a credit card, which is difficult because I always carry limited cash. First time here. I am some one who occasionally gets my nails done so I consider it a splurge and my main thing is customer service. I went with my friend and it wasn't busy. We went in and browse the color section. We asked about powder and was basically told that it's no different from gel other than it takes longer. I felt like he should have given more information. Then they asked us if they could do the manicure and the pedicure at the same time. This was the first time I've ever been asked and we both said ok. The two people who did my manicure and pedicure basically were more involved with talking to each other than in providing customer service to me. They were also speaking in Spanish. They did not ask me if I wanted my cuticles cut and started to cut. They also overcut to the point where I was feeling pain. They placed the gel heating machine on my lap (they need a better system because I was concerned about it dropping). They put plastic wrap on the feet (not sure why) but it was very itchy. There were bubbles on the nails that I could see (again due to the fact that my nail lady was more focused on talking to her coworker than on me) and I had to ask her to redo it 2 times. It was still noticeable after the 2nd time but she was telling her coworker nada and showing her the nail (this was very disrespectful in my opinion) and at this point I wasn't going to bother. Additionally my toes were not cut well. One of the other ladies came and tried to help. She cut my toes twice trying to get it looking good but I felt like she was making it worse. Because of this, and the fact that the decor was nice and they seem to be pretty sanitary, that's why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 1 star. My friend's nail person was slightly better but my friend and I wanted to talk but because he kept talking to her, I gave up talking to her. My friend also said that some of the topic discussions were a bit weird. One pro is that they offer a reward card (not sure what you get once you filled it up). I personally would not come back. My friend & I came during the middle of the day so there was no wait and it wasn't crowded. I loved the fact that we were serviced right away. They made sure we were comfortable and went right to it. I needed an urgent appointment and my usual nail salon was booked. I knew a few people who came here regularly so I thought I'd give it a try. The atmosphere was incredibly dated and the employees looked miserable. It appeared to be a slow day and everyone was on their phones. As soon as I walked in none of the nail artists looked up from their phones hoping that they wouldn't have to be the one to do my nails. Even after we got past that obstacle, the woman who was doing my nails was very sloppy and distracted. My cuticles were butchered. It was so painful. The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is because they were able to accommodate a walk-in appointment. I even tipped her generously prior to her doing my nails, clearly that was a mistake. Pedicure experience was horrible! My daughter and I went 9/3/16 because my normal place didn't honor my appointment. This place did honor a walk in. We should have turned and walked out because we were met with an old molded smell at the door! The first tech was extremely rough. Next to my daughter, was a male Tech named Andy. I know this because I noticed how gentle he was with his customer (white female). My tech got so rough the tech next to me asked her to polish my daughter, while Andy finished my pedi. Would you believe Andy wasn't the gentle being he was with his initial customer. He scrubbed like my foot was diseased, and during the massage, he twisted my ankle so bad, it caused excruciating pain to my right knee. This pain has persisted over the holiday weekend. I have needed to ice and stay off of it. I will definitely need to see a doctor. Next, a third tech then finished off my pedi needing to refile. The clip down job done by the first tech drew blood and was obviously cut on a slant so much that additional filing couldn't fix it. They didn't even clean up my cuticles. Oh, let me not forget another observation made by my 11 year old. They used paper towels to separate our toes, but actual toe separators on the other patrons (white females). And, my daughter's pedi cost the same amount, but they didn't use the pumas stone on her at all. And lastly, my heels were more rough after the pedi than it was before. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, IT MAY BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH!!! I will be scheduling with my orthopedic tomorrow. read more

Great nail salon. They do gel, and regular manicure as well as pedicures. They have many stations so the likelihood is that they will have a spot for you. They have many color options for both gel and regular polish. They do some hand massage before they start polishing and back massage while you are waiting for it to dry. I did not do the pedicure so I am not sure what massages they do there) One piece to note is that they don't have hand protection gloves for those using the gel, so just be aware of this if you are concerned. read more

I would not recommend this place. Two weeks ago I went to this salon for a gel manicure and pedicure and i am still recovering. Coco (the owner) cut my cuticle so deeply I have developed my first ever nail infection. There is literally a hole in my cuticle (see attached photo). No matter what I have tried-Neosporin, hydrogen peroxide, hot water and anti bacterial soaks nothing has worked. I have to go to my dermatologist this week to get a prescription. Be very cautious! I started coming here last summer. I don't know why I waited to write the review. Manicure: to be honest...no different from other places I've been to. Pedicure: LOVE IT! It is a spa like feel. The big comfy chairs that vibrate are ready to go when you sit down. The best part for me was the hot oiled spa rock that they massage on your calves. It's like heaven. It's my favorite part. I would like them to take more of the clauses off, but I think that is more than the basic pedicure, I'm not sure. Go for the extra 15-20 massage while you are drying. It's just a few more $$ and it's worth it. They give you a little 1-2 minute massage, but the 15-20 minute one is a little deeper and much better in the private room on the special chair. I never just walk in, I always make an appointment. I feel that the walk-ins don't get the same treatment as the ones with appointments. Once you get seated you do, but not before. Their phone doesn't always work, so sometimes it's hard to make appointments. They do get very busy in the afternoons. There are TONS of colors, so come early if you have a hard time decided on color. Overall It's a great place and I am so glad I switch places! read more

However, a quick glance at my nails as I hung up the phone revealed a far better solution to ridding my stress: MANI-PEDI TIME! However, still being new to the area, I asked my boyfriend's grandmother to recommend a nail salon I could just quickly walk into and she suggested Coco Blue, the salon she goes to for her weekly manicures in Ardmore. After a hilarious episode where my misplaced house and car keys turned up in HER purse, I ran over there and was immediately placed into the care of Sophia and Joy. The place itself is very much like many typical, generic nail salons: one side has a line of manicure tables, the other side has a row of the pedicure massage chairs. They have a reasonable selection of nail polish colors, including OPI, so you'll be able to find a color to suit your mood. The decor is minimal and done in pastels, with a large replica of Botticelli's Venus on one wall, an atmosphere that's clean but nothing special. I opted to have my mani-pedi done at the same time, but other women seemed to prefer having one done before the other. Sophia and Joy were both very professional and nice, and my mani-pedi was completed quickly but still with care and attention to detail. You even get massages on your feet and hands that are slightly lengthier than I was expecting. The one thing I didn't enjoy was the pedicure massage chair - they automatically turn it on for you, and the rolling/kneading motions were far too strong for me (my back is in need of a professional masseuse DESPERATELY), but turning it off was slightly harder than I realized. As your nails dry, you also get a quick shoulder massage, and you are automatically given a little card that, after ten visits, gives you a free mani or pedi! Prices are very reasonable in comparison to other places I've been, I would recommend this place for a quick, no-frills nail stop. read more

I have been going to Coco Blue for manicures and pedicures for at least 4 years. It is a beautiful and clean salon with friendly, non-pretentious staff. The owner is amazing and is always ready to greet you at the door and have a warm, thoughtful conversation with clients. Just went to coco blue in conshohocken. We waited here from 12-3, and this was after being told to come back. There was cold water in my pedicure tub, forgot my back massage. It took myself and 3 others 10 minutes to get the employees attention to make the water warmer in our pedicure tubs. I knew 4 others in the salon this day that were also disappointed with the service. My friends manicure looked awful and another employee had to fix it. I paid in full and I gave 5 dollar tip due to the poor service. Manager calls me out on my tip. Do not go to this place. They are rude, and over book appointments. I am a regular customer here and I was treated this way. If the service had been better I would have given my usual tip. Disappointed! read more

I asked if they could atleast soak the nails off so I can get my natural nails done and they refused.
