Wow... the In-N-Out lure is absolutely real at 10 PM on a Saturday night. Imagine if a local high school dance just got out, a traveling youth baseball team rolled in, a church event ended, surfers came off the beach, and random families all decided to meet up at the exact same time that was the vibe tonight. The drive-thru line was literally backed out to Main Street. But credit where it's due, the crew on 16 May absolutely handled business and crushed it. The dining room felt like a full-on party but somehow still stayed clean. Even the bathrooms were surprisingly serviceable considering the chaos. Most importantly? The food quality never dropped. I was craving In N Out after a round of golf at Encinitas Ranch. This did not disappoint! Service was friendly and efficient. We beat the lunch rush on a Saturday at 11:30 am. I ordered a double double cheese burger animal style, extra lettuce, extra tonatoes, and a whole grilled onion. I got my food within 10 minutes. Tables were spotless clean and after we ate a friendly worker came and collected our trash and trays! Things got quite a bit busier by 12:00 pm when we were leaving and the drive through was insane - almost out the parking lot so keep that in mind when timing your visit. read more

One of my favorite In-N-Out locations in San Diego. While the parking lot can be difficult to access when the drive-thru is long, the line inside the building is usually short. The restaurant is always clean and well-lit. My go-to order is a cheeseburger, no onions and protein style which is the lettuce wrap. Incoming dad joke...Rarely are you in & out...which is a testament to how delicious the food is paired with the reasonable prices. On Veteran's Day I headed out to In-N-Out Burger in Encinitas to take advantage of the free meal they offered vets. Went through the drive-thru and was assisted by a very efficient and polite employee. He thanked me for my military service and confirmed that my lunch was going to be free. I ordered a Double Double burger, fries and a drink (7Up). The burger was a mouthful and consisted of two beef patties, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and special sauce. It was delicious and I really loved the extra cheese and onions.. it gave the burger texture and made every savory bite enjoyable. The crispy fries were delicious and the cool, refreshing cup of 7Up was the perfect way to top the meal off. This In & Out Burger Shack was not much different than its other branches located throughout SoCal. For a Thursday night after 9:00PM, this place was super busy and both crowded on the inside and in the Drive-Thru. But service was great and the line moved along swiftly and it felt like only 12 minutes had passed before I got my order. I got a Double-Double cheeseburger and Fries (animal-style), with a vanilla milkshake. Normally I get my burgers (animal-style) as well, but I was too tired to go back and correct my order; but I definitely recommend them like that. In & Out is pretty consistent and I love that about them and their potatoes & meat are sourced specifically for their brand with the highest standards. The only *ding* I could give this branch was that their bathroom was a little dirty & table clean-up was kinda slow. The best In N Out along the 5 in SD county. Dine in or drive through, they have never failed me. Fries are always cooked perfectly and burgers are prepared as ordered. We have the family member who orders double meat, no cheese; grilled cheese with pickles; the classic double-double; basic cheeseburger. We also have that person who orders animal style fries, regular fries, and fries well don't for texture. The staff are always accommodating and meet our requests. This location has a good amount of indoor seating, but also several tables outdoors that they constantly keep clean and tidy. The only problem is parking close. Still the Soda struggle... Lines out the ass and young people with tablets placing your order miles away, no problem. The problem? The "soda crew" can work much faster than the burger crew, some customers work in the heat and getting soda #24 from the counter line with no ice / watered down is getting really old. Great spot for good food! We all know in n out is great on their fast service and good quality food. However, this one had a weird parking lot that was shared with other businesses. Their drive thru lane also blocks parking spots in the front which made it a little inconvenient to get in and get out. I wanted to park in the very front because I have little kids and I felt safer if we didn't have to walk through the busy parking lot. We were there at about 1pm and it was very busy. I was there on Wednesday 21JUN2023 at or around 1:30PM, I had ordered four burgers, 3 fries, and four drink. The service provided was second to none! My cashier Logan understood the whole order and didn't miss a beat we were number 4 but they were still in the 80 and any other in-n-out would take 20-30 minutes, but this location had our food ready within 10 minutes. I watched as everyone was actively working on orders instead of bullshitting like at 99% of the other locations. The burgers didn't disappoint, the fries weren't bad, so overall it was a great first time experience at that location. The one downfall I would have to give this place is the parking because it's shared with another restaurants d a gas station, the drive thru line goes straight through the first row so parking sucks if you decide you want to be blocked in lol. I wish they would redirect the drive thru line. All in all the establishment itself was clean, and the ambiance was great! I definitely would go here everytime I wanted a burger but I live sooo far down south, lol. read more
