My friends and I had breakfast here yesterday because we needed a dog friendly spot. My first time and I loved it! The hostesses were so nice. We were in line for about 30 minutes or so. And they kept checking in with us and letting us know they would set us up with a table out on the patio as soon as one opened up. We sat out on the patio, 4 adults, 1 toddler and 1 dog. They had put 3 round tables together for us because we were sat along that wall where the patrons can only sit on one side of the table. It was okay, but being able to sit facing each other would have been better. I ordered the Giovanni Omelette and a virgin Ale's Southern Italian Bloody Mary. The omelette was a great size, the potatoes were so tasty, the fruit bowl was fresh and delicious, and I had toast with jam. Yum! The bloody mary was good, lots of pulp which I liked, the olives were great, and I enjoyed the celery salted rim. The service was amazing, we were really taken care of, and they gave my friend's dog a water bowl. We came at 9:30am so parking was fairly easy, we found a metered spot right near the restuarant. Be prepared to wait in line, this place is popular. There were about 20 people in line behind us once we were seated. I look forward to trying more menu items from here. read more

Would definitely come back here again! The food is so amazing as well as the service. I love that they serve lunch items at 9 in the morning as my wife and I are not big on breakfast type of food. We ordered the meatballs and the fried burrata for our antipasti. When it came out it smelled soooo good!!! The meatballs come in marinara sauce with some ricotta cheese. This is marinara is one of the best I've ever had, it was garlicky, not too sweet or acidic, just right. The sauce was so delicious that I almost cleaned off the whole bowl. The meatballs were very light and meaty, not heavy on the breading. For the main, we both ordered the shrimp fra diavolo. It came in their bread bowl, which I thought was a great idea so it would soak up the rest of the sauce once the pasta was finished. The bread was light and soft yet had a nice chewy texture, it also tasted pretty nutty. I don't like bread bowls at all but this was so good that I actually took the leftover home. Besides the bread bowl, the pasta was the best pasta I've had in a long time at an Italian restaurant. The sauce was just amazing, the spiciness from the Calabrian chili came through where I did not have to add extra hot sauce. The shrimp was decently sized and the spaghetti was cooked to al dente. The portion looks small but it was pretty decent. For dessert I got the della nonna and my wife got the tiramisu. Both of the dessert were very moist. I really like their della nonna compared to others I've tried in Santa Barbara. The pastry was flaky, the lemon filling was not too tart but creamy at the same time, and it also had a lot of pine nuts on it. I think I found my favorite breakfast spot in Oxnard! read more

We seriously wanted her to sit with us and break bread together. Then, our server Liz was amazing! She was knowledgable, answered all our questions, and got our order perfect! We loved this place so much we went two days in a row on our overnight trip. There was quite a line when we went on Sunday for brunch, but Monday at 1:30 (they close at 2:00) there was no wait. The service was amazing. The staff was friendly and seemed happy. The hostess and waitress both remembered us from the day before. The hostess remembered we'd said we were on our way to a funeral, and asked us how the funeral went. Great memory with how many people she must talk to while they're waiting for a table. Had breakfast here on a Saturday afternoon for my birthday. We were promptly greeted and I have to say, the front of the house is truly five star. She took the time to show us around the new location (we had previously been to Ventura) and made sure to tell our server that it was my birthday. We ordered two lattes, the cornflake pancakes, the Belgian waffle and a Parisian omelette. The pancakes were decadent and filling, the omelette was great and came with a large portion of potatoes and side of toast and my son devoured his waffle. It was a really nice touch when our server brought out a birthday tiramisu, which was also incredible. We visited a couple days ago and we were really looking forward to it, but it was a huge disappointment. We ordered egg, waffles, pancakes, chicken sausage, and potatoes. The presentation looked fine and the waiter was good, but that's where the positives ended. The pancakes and waffles were stiff, dry, and hard. The chicken sausage didn't taste like chicken at all and was honestly hard to eat. To make it worse, the water cups smelled like fish, which completely ruined the meal. The only decent part of the breakfast was the fruit the strawberries and bananas were fresh. Overall, the food quality was poor, at the end we wished we hadn't had gone. read more

A welcome addition at the collection because there was no spaces for breakfast so expect a wait especially on the weekends from all the locals in walking distance. The space is modeled just like the Ventura location and the food execution is exactly the same. With my choice of diet I went with the sampler menu and ordered the burrata scrambled eggs, house made chicken sausage, lox and a burrata ball! I went there for the first time today with my Family. My Niece and Sister asked me to go. I was so impressed with the Breakfast. The eggs were cooked a perfect medium, bacon was too and the potatoes were delicious. The sliced focaccia with jam and good strong coffee excellent. The ambience is very airy. Has the Italian vibe and cute decor. My table ordered the smoked salmon Benedict, farmers market omelette, and the breakfast lasagna and pozole. Everything was so delicious super fresh and had me wanting to go back for more. This is my first time visiting the restaurant for either Ventura or Oxnard location and I am ready to return! The Collection at Riverpark in Oxnard REALLY needed a breakfast spot! I'm so glad Immigrant Son Cafe planted their flag. The service was really spot on! There was no shortage of team members available to greet me at the door and guide me to an empty seat. Love the bar option for a breakfast spot. While I'm a person that can eat alone, its nice to have a cocktail / breakfast bar to conveniently grab a bite on the run. I'm also delightfully surprised I can order a cocktail at a breakfast cafe. I mean, it's 5pm somewhere! The food was flavorful and well-prepared. The eggs were fluffy and light. The red potatoes were a nice touch. The homemade chicken sausage patties tasted organic and fresh. The coffee was solid. It's a lively spot, with great decor, and ambience. Not too loud, but not too quiet. The food is always great (bacon flight and chicken parm sando) and the peach bellini's are really tasty! Service is great too! Check 'em out if you're looking for a good experience. I've been to this place probably 10 times in the last three months, I just love it! Every time we go there the staff is wonderful, very friendly outgoing and even though the places is busy, they take a minute to say hello. At the end of the meal they give you "Nonna's Pizzelli" from their family recipe. It is a delicious wafer cookie. Not too sweet but perfect! The style is very casual with a lot of art on the walls, concrete floors with large tables and small quaint tables as well, small bakery and a bar. The outdoor patio is really cute with umbrellas everywhere so you're sure to be able to get a spot in the shade. The food is nothing short of Amazing. Everything is fresh "Farm to Table" I often ask how food is prepared or served (health reasons) and they tell you exactly how it's prepared, and it doesn't disappoint. I've been here probably 5 times, and it gets chosen because it's easy, there's a lot of parking, and we swing by a few of the shops on the weekends. My ENTIRE meal was spent having to listen to him talk to a couple behind me on the patio about why it's important to not vaccinate their kids, and how Dana White (obviously the best person to listen to for health advice) doesn't even go to the doctor until he "breaks a bone" because doctors are trying to kill us (????). Listen, your opinion is your opinion. Love that for you. Maybe don't talk about this in mixed company? Maybe lower your voice?? Idk. It's a weird topic. The last straw was him saying the only reason he wants main street in Ventura to open is because it'll be boring for people to come to his restaurant if everything else closes around him. Another great find, way outside our neighborhood! I find myself in this Ventura County area 2X a week and do breakfast once a week... Apparently, the restaurant's name is appealing and I can relate to, I'm an Eurasian (italopino, spaniard & french - european sailors were "brought" to the Philippines by the trade winds), legal immigrant's son, and i'm also an immigrant (grew up in Chicago, now living in SoCal)... There was almost no basil inside, and very little balsamic glaze for flavor.
