GETTING HERE: Located in the Collection in Oxnard. It's down the way from the movie theater near where the old Container store once was. MOOD: Getting hangry and ready to check this place out! #YAY REVIEW: I am so excited to have finally stopped here! I was cautious as the line to enter is ^always out the door and around the way, but the line moved fast this day! Awesome! Service: It was awesome. Pleasantly and happily surprised for the genuine friendliness and help. I had asked for a few recommendations as I was a first timer and every staff member was a great help. I observed the interactions from other staff with other customers and the service was bar none. Return customer made! Food: I omitted to get the name of my sandwich! It was the egg sandwich and it was excellent, highly recommend. The chicken and waffle was incredible! The seasoning on the chicken blew my mind. I am ordering that next visit, for sure. Ambiance: Nice, open, airy, light seating. My only note is that it gets ^quite loud inside. Not a ding against anyone or anything, I just struggled to conversate with my party. Review: I couldn't recommend Immigrant Son Caffe more! Can't wait to return to order the chicken and waffles!
Located in the Collection so there is plenty of parking. We came on a weekday so it wasn't as crowded and only a short wait. Upon arrival we were greeted by a welcoming hostess. A good sized space with outdoor seating that loops around one corner. Once seated the waitress came by shortly to get our drink order however it took a little while to get our food order in though. We got the Breakfast charcuterie, Focaccia Chicken Sandwich, Smoked salmon eggs Benedict and Basque cheesecake. All were delicious! At the end of the meal we also got a complimentary pizzelle cookie. Loved the decor and ambiance, the flags and art gave a very European feel. Service was mostly good, our waitress was friendly and checked on us regularly. They have a location in Ventura as well, so I will try that location next time.
I was drawn to try Immigrant Son Cafe because of their unique and creative brunch menu offerings, and overall it was a very enjoyable first visit. From the moment we walked in, the host set a wonderful tone for the experience. He was incredibly personable, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. As first-time guests, it was refreshing to be greeted so warmly and made to feel right at home. Between my partner and me, we ordered the deviled eggs, whipped burrata with focaccia, green juice, and avocado toast. My partner also started with a cortado coffee, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The standout dish for me was definitely the whipped burrata with focaccia. The bread was served warm, tasted incredibly fresh, and paired perfectly with the creamy burrata. It was simple but absolutely delicious. My partner enjoyed his avocado toast overall, although he mentioned that the bread was a bit thick and hard, making it somewhat difficult to eat comfortably. Unfortunately, the biggest miss for both of us was the deviled eggs. They didn't taste particularly fresh and had an oddly unpleasant flavor. One of my favorite parts of the visit came at the very end when our server surprised us with complimentary pizzelle cookies. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and its small hospitality touches like that which leave a lasting impression and make guests like us feel genuinely cared for. While not every dish was a hit, the warm service, welcoming atmosphere, and unique menu made this a place I'd happily return to. I'm honestly sad I don't live closer because I'd love to come back and continue exploring more of their brunch offerings.
Located in the Collection, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Immigrant Son Caffe. From the moment we walked up to the hostess stand, we were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The menu had a nice selection of primarily savory options that made it hard to narrow down as everything sounded so good. Ultimately, I ended up going with the "Caffe Breakfast" ($19) which came with 2 eggs, my choice of bacon and season potatoes, along with a slice of ciabatta. Everything was delicious, but my favorite item on the plate actually ended up being their house made berry jam. It was so good paired with their perfectly crusty ciabatta bread! We also ordered the "Breakfast Charcuterie" as an appetizer which was beautifully plated. I loved the toasted focaccia and it was so fun getting to top your own bread with the sunny side up egg, creamy cheese options, fresh avocado, smoked salmon, pickled red onions, calabrian chili crunch, and pickled pistachios. While I didn't get to try their toasts, our table also ordered their "Salmon Avocado Toast" ($19) and their "Avocado Pomodoro Toast" ($18). Each dish was so aesthetically pleasing. I only wish the portions were a little bigger as everything felt on a bit on the smaller side and we all left still feeling like we could have eaten more. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed the food and our experience at Immigrant Son Caffe. The restaurant was clean and inviting, the wait staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. If you're not an early riser, be prepared to wait though. When we arrived closer to 8:45am on a holiday weekday, we were able to get seated right away and there were only a few tables occupied. However, when we left closer to 9:45am, there was already a line formed outside that wrapped around the side of the building.
Service was great and it's a cute spot for brunch/ cafe feel. My friend enjoyed the trip cannoli and we both really loved the rigatoni pasta.
Really pretty and unique café I absolutely loved all the flag decor throughout the space--it's one of the first things you notice when you walk in and it gives the place such a fun vibe. Everyone was super welcoming, from the host to our waiter, which made the experience even better. They also have a coffee bar where you can just walk in and grab a drink without waiting, which is a huge plus. We came for brunch/breakfast, and while everything was good, I did notice they lean more toward brunch options rather than a wide variety of breakfast items. I started with my usual sugar-free vanilla oat latte, and it was sooo good--perfectly creamy and not too sweet, just how I like it. For food, I ordered the chicken parm panini with a side salad, and it did not disappoint. The bread was a little overwhelming, so I took some off, but overall it was still really good. We also tried the chicken and waffles--personally not my thing, but my boyfriend said it was just okay. They also didn't have ranch for the fried chicken, which was a bit of a downside. Service was amazing--Brandon was super accommodating, friendly, and answered all of our questions. Overall, such a great experience! I'd definitely come back with my girls for mimosas
Service top Quality! I was excited to come here, my family and I have been searching for. Good place to eat, ever since I hop has went down hill. We very pleased, let me start off by telling you the service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming. The coffee amazing! The food was flavorful! There is nothing negative I can say about this place and I can't wait to come back again' to try something we didn't get a chance to order!
Came here after a friend of mine recommended this restaurant to me. I love Italian food, especially authentic Italian food, so I was excited to try it. I was surprised to see that it was quite busy for the middle of the day on a Monday. But even though it was busy, we were seated right away. The restaurant is pretty, with different flags hanging all around. I like how bright and spacious it is. I don't like to sit too close to other people I don't know while I eat. One of the waitresses noticed that the sun was hitting me, so she asked me if I wanted her to lower the blinds, which was nice of her. After going through the menu, I decided to order their spaghetti and meatballs that they serve in a bread bowl! I had never heard of that before. The meatballs were hand-made and freshly made. The pasta was also cooked to perfection. My husband ordered their carbonara, and I have to say we both knew that their bacon had to be imported because it tasted just like the bacon we had in our recent trip to Italy. Very delicious and authentic food.
I came here for my birthday for brunch on a Sunday. First of all the wait staff was incredibly on top of things and very welcoming. The food was top tier. I got the Aunt Anna eggs Benedict. I love that there were red potatoes and I appreciate that the fruit served with it was really fresh and something I enjoyed versus frozen melons served at other cafes. You know I had to try the cafe de Olla latte. It was perfection! They also give me a birthday tiramisu that I took to-go. Thank you!
We stopped by for a quick lunch on a Friday afternoon on the way to SLO. We found street parking. We shared a breakfast lasagna. It was very good. To drink my husband had the espresso martini (it is heavy on the espresso) and I had the empress gin spritz. Both good cocktails. Service was friendly and attentive. Cortni was our server and she was lovely. The restaurant was very warm and inviting.
Sat quickly though the water glass didn't match my lip gloss. Wrong eggs Benedict served. When I did get the right one.....Salmon with Capers , slim on the salmon, hardly a caper or a red onion. It fell flat.
A Must-Visit Family Gem at The Collection! We had a wonderful breakfast at Immigrant Cafe. Despite the house being packed, the service was excellent--attentive and seamless. It's clear why there is so much positive word-of-mouth surrounding this family-owned local eatery. The atmosphere is beautiful; it features a fresh, contemporary aesthetic that feels upscale without being overstated. The Food: * Eggs Benedict: Perfectly executed and very tasty. * Giovanni Omelette: A meat-lover's dream! Loaded with savory prosciutto and pancetta. * Buttermilk Pancakes: Topped with strawberries and Nutella, these were a massive hit with my daughter. The drinks were a highlight, and the pricing is very fair for the quality and location. Buen provecho!

Super cute caffee! Loved the vibes, and everyone was super friendly and helpful. We came during the pumpkin spice season, so there were special items on the menu. Our server was very familiar with both the specials and the regulars. She was helpful but not pushy or trying to sell specific items. I got the seasonal omelette, and it was pretty good. The only downside is that there was a lot of squash in there, and I don't like squash. That's a personal preference, and I should have asked them what they meant for seasonal veggies. Otherwise, if you like squash, it's a winner! read more

I have been to the restaurant in the Ventura location, and I have wanted to try this new spot at The Collection in Oxnard since it opened. Finally, I got the chance. When I arrived, there was a long line to get in, and a server gave us a small cup of water (which was nice). My friend and I sat down at the bar, which is good for solo diners or couples. We ordered "Cousin Michael's Carbonara" and "Shrimp Fra Diavolo," along with orange juice (it was fresh, as they squeeze it here). The pastas tasted good. All the dishes were beautifully presented. After the meal, I ordered "Café de Olio," which was delicious. The service was friendly and excellent. It's an excellent place for couples, groups, or families. You can park in the parking lot at The Collection or find street parking nearby. read more

I tried Immigrant Son Cafe for the first time and wow.. I don't know why I waited so long. We had an espresso martini and a vanilla latte, and both were absolutely delicious. For food, we ordered the breakfast lasagna and the avocado pomodoro toast, and everything was beyond amazing. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the staff makes you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you walk in. Definitely a new favorite spot ... can't wait to go back! read more

Great place for brunch with unique and delicious brunch entrees and a good selection of familiar ones as well. Highly recommended the breakfast lasagna and chicken w waffles... I've not had a lasagna like this breakfast version and it was delicious, and the Belgian waffle was quite tasty and the perfectly prepped fried chicken pieces went well with the syrup and spicy butter. This place has large portions, friendly and attentive wait staff, lots of seating and free parking. This is our new Oxnard go to for brunch now! read more
It was a nice and quiet morning , and Upon entering I sat at the bar. I was greeted promptly and handed menus and a water. There is so many delicious things on their menu it took me awhile to decide. I opened for a hazelnut latte and their chicken and waffles. The chicken fried to perfection, the waffle crispy on the outside, and warm and fresh in the inside. I will definitely be back for round two, this time trying something different on the menu. read more

Came for 9:30 am Sunday breakfast before the rush. Greeted w/ smiles from both Host and Servers and attended to promptly for drinks and menus. Service frequently checked in ok us and drinks kept full. The high ceilings and natural light was perfect. Even with it busy it didn't feel cramped or chaotic. Perfect family and couple setting. The food took some time to come out but was worth the wait. Polenta was creamy, The breakfast lasagna is a definite must try and the salmon eggs Benedict was served with perfect poached eggs and very well seasoned . Great portion sizes! Make sure to come early because after 11:00am expect a line outside! read more
We stopped by for our first visit after our workout since our gym is around the block . We were greeted at the door and seated immediately. Our server came right over and took our drink order. We both got a hot hazelnut latte which was delicious. I ordered a Greek omelette and added bacon. It came with toast, seasonal fruit, and potatoes. It was amazing. My wife ordered the avocado toast which came with a poached egg on top. She loved it. It is a very nice and welcoming atmosphere, great service, and fair prices. We will return soon! read more
I have tried both locations for Immigrant Son Caffe and something about this one in the Collection is just extra special! I've been a couple times to this one specially and each visit I was blown away by the warm service, amazing quality of food / drinks & I LOVE the interior design / ambiance so much. Dined in with my partner and friends on 03/14/2026 for reference to the staff. This is their second location and it's still really good just like the original. The good: Food and the Waiters were good. The Waiters we had were very attentive, checked in on us, got us refills on drink and made sure we were well taken care of. They even accommodated us to a new table (more explained on this below and why I say waiters). The food was delicious, love how the pasta comes out in a bread bowl similar to a pizza crust. The noodles were al dente, shrimp was cooked perfectly. The bad: THE HOSTESS. She was not friendly at all. She had asked if we had a preference of inside or outside, we asked for inside. She still sat us outside. The table was infested with gnats and flies, constantly getting into our drinks. I had politely went up to her after we ordered our food and drinks and asked if we can be switched inside. She just looked at me and said No, I can put you guys at the bar or you guys will have to wait in line again until everyone else has been seated, which at that point the line was picking up so it would be rather a long wait. Why do we have to wait in line again if we were already seated and ordered?! I ended up asking our waiter instead if we can be switched to a different table which two other servers quickly tried to remedy the situation and had said that a table was open for us to move to, and noticed the hostess giving us a glare when we got switched. read more
First time visiting Immigrant Son Caffe & it won't be my last. Find them at The Collection, Riverpark in Oxnard. Near King & Queen Cantina & just across the street from Gen. Service was excellent. Our beautiful server Peyton was such a sweetheart. Everyone was super friendly... Met Ronin, he was nice & funny. Even met the Owner, as he came to our table & asked us how everything was. Love that! Felt so welcome & at home. I devoured the Breakfast Lasagna. It's exactly what it is, Breakfast (Bacon, Bechamel, Prosciutto Cotto, Bacon, Spinach, Eggs, Mozzarella, Served with Tromba Family Marinara and A Fried Egg). It's a big portion, I had some to take home. So Good! I'm a fan of their Chocolate Espresso Martini. They have a Brunch Cocktail Menu that is very inviting. You can also grab Coffee & treats at their walk up Cafe Counter. Love this Italian-Inspired Resto :D read more
My family and I went at around 1PM on a Thursday. We were seated within 10-15 minutes indoors which was relatively quick. I've been to the Immigrant Son Caffe in Ventura and I've never had any issues. However this was my first time visiting the Oxnard location and it left more to be desired. Our waiter was a bit blunt sometimes cutting us off when we spoke. I understand we went in an hour before closing but it didn't particularly feel very welcoming. I ordered an orange juice which was $7 and when he placed it on the table he knocked it over so it ended up spilling. He didn't even bother to apologize or help clean it up. Only when I asked for more napkins did he hand them over. I understand mistakes but respectfully it's not a cheap drink. The other staff are really sweet from the hostess that checked us in to the people who brought our food. It was just our actual waiter that left a very bad impression. The food itself was pretty good. I got a yogurt parfait ($14) which in itself is pretty boring I understand. I was getting over being sick and bedridden for the last week so there were only few things I could stomach. It's a really good option for people who want a light and balanced My sister got a rigatoni pesto ($21) which was quite tasty we especially liked the chewiness of the noodles. My mother got the heirloom tomato and strawberry salad (seasonal) ($20) which was interesting. My mother added chicken (+$6) to top it off but what came out was more of a fancy dip than a salad. She said she enjoyed it but it just caught her off guard. Overall I'd say the experience landed somewhere in the middle. The food wasn't bad but I'm not sure how much of an effort we'd make again to come back. The service again was lack luster from our waiter. The ambiance would be good for groups as it's pretty loud. There's always a lot of chatting and there's some music they play in the back. The pricing seems pretty typical for any "nicer" brunch place and it's unfortunate that some of these reviews seem overhyped. read more

We stumbled upon Immigrant Son Caffe while looking for a bite to eat during a Tesla charging stop on our way to LA -- and it was such a hit that we made a point to come back the next day on our drive home! The first day I ordered the Breakfast Charcuterie, and wow -- what a creative and delicious idea. You can choose from smoked salmon, chicken sausage, or prosciutto. It comes beautifully arranged with an egg, fruit, and cheeses. So good. The next day I went for the Traditional Breakfast with chicken sausage, and it was equally satisfying. I also had a vanilla oat milk latte both mornings -- creamy, flavorful, and perfectly made. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it a great spot whether you're in the mood to enjoy the sun or stay cool inside. And bonus -- it's directly across from my favorite store, REI, which makes it even more convenient for a quick stop and stretch during a road trip. The staff here is incredible. Super friendly, quick service, and one of the team members even remembered me the second day -- a small but thoughtful touch. We were lucky to arrive early each day and beat the crowd, but when we left, there was a line out the door. Definitely a local favorite. This place is now officially my go-to breakfast stop anytime I'm heading to or from LA. Highly recommend! read more

Second visit, great service, good food and cute patio. Their specialty Tiramisu Affogato had an amazing tiramisu aspect to it and was delicious, but it didn't exactly satisfy my morning iced coffee craving. Maybe that's because it was my first affogato but it was yummy regardless . Their Lemoncello Spritz was yummy but pretty strong on the Prosecco side. LOVED THE AVOCADO TOAST. I have a hard time justifying paying a high price for avocado toast because I eat it at home every morning, but this was more than justified. Eggs perfectly cooked, and the tomatoes were incredibly fresh. I can't wait to come back and have it again. My boyfriend had the Caffe breakfast, which he also enjoyed. read more
Immigrant Son in the Collection has immaculate vibes and is a fun breakfast spot. Plates are $20 minimum, coffee is $6+ without syrups or different milks. Know that going in so you can't complain about the price points. Great energy and great customer service, every time. I'm not a coffee aficionado by any means but this coffee tastes clean, light and fresh. Really enjoy it every time and it's mandatory. I've tried a bunch of different things on the menu here and the Ventura one. The best tasting food I've had is pictured in this review- a Peach Burrata Toast. I asked the server if it would be sweet and he said he would add prosciutto to counter that. My wife and I shared this - ended up being $28 and visually doesn't look like a lot but it was filling and fresh. Peaches, dates, goat cheese, candied pistachios and some kind of sweet sauce. Would recommend but the server told me it would likely be off the menu as soon as Peaches were out of season. I've had the breakfast lasagna - it was decent but kind of heavy and is way too much for one person. The breakfast sandwich is good and is made chicken sausage. Kids loved the French toast. After the meal, they give you a Pizzelle which is an Italian Waffle Cookie. Really tasty. Some cinnamon on it. Wish I had this to dip in my coffee! Highly recommend this place. read more

Immigrant Son was pretty good adding some breakfast Italian fare, I am still intrigued by the breakfast lasagna. But I had the shrimp diablo pasta which I thought would have more spice, but the bread bowl was a nice touch, I just needed more sauce because by the end it made the bowl tough to eat since it was dry. But the flavors were good so more sauce would've clinched it. The ending cookie was very nice so I look forward to trying it again read more

Such a beautiful spot! The restaurant is bright and airy with tons of natural light, and the staff were so warm and welcoming.. I got a flat white and it was perfection. Super smooth, great balanced flavor -- highly recommend it either plain or with a little flavor shot, if that's your thing. For food, I went for their signature Breakfast Lasagna (because obviously, you've gotta try what they're known for first, right?). The portion is massive -- definitely sharable. Loved the flavors of each layer and that perfectly runny poached egg on top. My only small gripe was the sauce being a bit on the salty side for my taste, but the overall Lasagna was nice in texture. Already eyeing a few other things on the menu, so I'll absolutely be back. read more
Although we prefer the other location, this restaurant fits the setting beautifully. The food is fresh and delicious. Atmosphere is bustling. Not "mall food." The breakfast lasagna is filling and the egg in top is just the perfect touch. read more

Wanting to try a different restaurant for breakfast/brunch in Oxnard. Immigrant Son Caffe came highly recommended. And they were right!!! There is metered street parking right in front or a free lot about a block away. 10:30 on a Monday and there was a line waiting to get in. About 10 minutes later we were seated on the patio. Savannah came by right away with a welcoming smile and answers to our questions about the menu. And we had quite a few because of the many interesting choices on the menu. We decided to share the breakfast lasagna ($23) and the Giovanni Omelet ($22). Who has lasagna for breakfast??? If you are at the Immigrant Son Caffe, I strongly recommend giving it a try. A huge slice of "lasagna" topped with a fried egg, swimming in their special marinara sauce, it has bacon, prosciutto cotto,bachamel, spinach, mozzarella, and more. DELISH!!! The Giovanni omelet also had prosciutto cotto, carmelized onion,garlic, and Provolone, WOW - soooo good. Served with breakfast potatoes, a small bowl of cut fruit, and a side of toasted bread. You are not leaving here hungry. read more
Great place for brunch but I also want to come later one day to try more of lunch-type options like the pastas! My first time here I got the focaccia breakfast sandwich which was very tasty. Today I got the original eggs Benedict which I also enjoyed - and the breakfast potatoes are super delish! They have yummy drink specials different days and I enjoyed my iced coffee with espresso cold foam and honey. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal; the kids had pancakes which I tried a bite of and enjoyed, and my brother opted for their famous breakfast lasagna. You really can't go wrong with whatever you order - I was even drooling over food I saw being brought to other tables! A great addition to The Collection with great food, service, and comfy booths and seating options indoor and out. read more
