    Chicharon

I was so excited to go back to San Jose and come back to this place for their chicharon. The first time i had it, it was so good. So i came back for more. Very disappointing. I understand the price increase but the quality just went down the drain. It tasted like they used a very very old cooking oil. Never again. Waste of money!!!

Another Filipino shop part of the seafood city plaza in Milpitas! It offers both sweets and hot foods like fish, meats, and more. My mom got what she wanted with a large dessert platter for the holidays. It varies from $29 to their smallest platter to $65 for their largest platter. It's a small family shop and service was quick and easy. Can't wait to feast on the desserts!

Tocino is a childhood fave for me and moving to the US, it was difficult to find good ones that's very similar to home. So never mind that it's more expensive than the ones at the grocery stores, this one is the best Filipino tocino I ever had. When you fry it, it caramelizes perfectly and the pork is very tender. recommend!

This location is located at the seafood city Plaza. We came on a busy Sunday and luckily they were able to still make us a tray. This is the best place to get Filipino desserts. They also have turo turo filipino.

Came by to get some Ukoy. 4 stars. Their ukoy has minimal batter and plenty of veggies, which I like. But only one shrimp. Wish they had more little shrimp in it. Goes for 4.50$ for one Ukoy but it's pretty filling and comes with garlic vinegar. They also have a variety of deserts like cassava cake (4 stars) and sweet rice desert. Their banana egg roll: 2.5 stars. Was ok. Not the best I've had. Wish it had some jackfruit inside. And the banana was a bit hard and not too soft. They sell some hot foods for lunch - a la cart or part of a meal. I didn't get any since I was not sure what anything was. They had plenty of variety of fish dishes as well.

Platter I bought that contained many items with mold on them.

I'd be wary of this place. I bought a platter of desserts and when I brought it home I found it had mold on many of the desserts and the sapin sapin was hard. Check the photos - see the mold we discovered on the products. I wish I didn't have to write this but someone can get really sick and serving moldy food to customers is concerning.

2023/037 A very quaint shop offering authentic Filipino homemade cuisine and traditional flavorful desserts. We came here to buy Carioca which is a sweet chewy fried glazed balls made out if sweet rice flour and shredded coconuts. Friendly and very welcoming store environment.

We just purchased this kakanin today and they tasted bad "sour". I hope this store check the quality of their before selling them.

We just purchased this kakanin today and they tasted bad "sour". I hope this store check the quality of their before selling them. It's embarrassing we served it at our birthday dinner and some people are not familiar of the taste until one of us tasted it.

This your $15.50 price small Adobo Squid!!

A small order of the Adobo Squid was $15.50 ..I could have gone to Goldilocks and they were only 5 small squids...I could have gone to Goldilocks!!

Their lechon is absolutely delicious, and the authentic desserts are a true delight! I always make it a point to stop by whenever I'm in the area. Riz, the charming young man who works there, is a pleasure to chat with. It's wonderful to see young people so actively involved in their family's business. Thank you for always providing such a fantastic experience!

Specks of mold on the biko.
    Harvey R.

Just so happened to be at Seafood City for the first time in a while and noticed this shop. I was excited to see that they had my favorite Filipino desserts, so I bought some biko, espasol and palitaw and they tasted pretty good. The next day, I saw that there was mold all over the biko, so I threw everything away. What a huge waste of money, and it's not like these items were cheap.

What’s in their pancit palabok? Is it good tasting?

No it wasn't good at all. The noodles was soggy and the chicharrones bits were chunky and stale. Worst version ever. I prefer the ones at Goldilocks or Valerios

I wished it had more toppings or something inside that was sweeter, but mostly it just tasted like chalky cocoa powder. Not very sweet and not in a good way. I usually wouldn't get this flavor and would get fruit so maybe that makes the difference. Was it the worst? No. The shave ice part was delicate and the portion was what you would expect. But I wouldn't attempt any chocolate ones again if I did come back here. It's lacking something. As for the inside, it's a spacious place with plenty of seating which is nice, although the music feels a little loud. The service is pretty straight forward here as you can order from a kiosk or up front, and there are screens that show which order number is finished around the restaurant. The bathroom was clean. Overall, wouldn't say it's bad but I'm not sure if I can recommend.

Each ingredient tasted fresh and added a different texture. I would definitely get the Ha Noi Mist again. I ordered online and I was grateful to see the pricing was the same. Pick up was super easy. I opted for ice on the side because I wasn't having my che until later, but unfortunately the ice froze into one big chunk in my freezer so I might just have them put the ice in the drink next time. I think price might be the only sticking point. The che is about 50% more expensive than Bambu or other Vietnamese dessert spots. I can absolutely see why their products are more expensive and totally think the quality of their dessert drinks surpass Bambu or similar dessert cafes. At the same time I have to acknowledge that I can order a che ba mau at another dessert spot and have my craving satisfied for less money. For me, this makes Co Ba a special treat that I wouldn't be able to have all the time.

My husband and I visited while waiting for a table at Flaming Ox, the restaurant next door. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the cashier and we browsed around leisurely looking at all the different food items. I'd really love to come back here and try out the more unique foods like their rice cakes and mung bean ice cream, but my husband and I got a notification that our table was ready so we went to eat our lunch. We returned after our meal and were greeted again. We looked at all the pineapple cakes again because my family enjoys them so much and my husband wanted to gift them a box for a Christmas present. All of the boxes are so beautifully designed and we finally settled on one. The cashier was very kind and talked to us about the iTaiwan membership and how to get the most benefits out of it. She also packaged the pineapple cakes in a cute bag for us for free! A very cozy story run by cute people. I will most definitely visit again.
