I called Image Tree Service and the owner came out and spent a good deal of time looking over my trees and explaining what needed to be done balanced with what I was looking for. A huge, multi-hundred-year-old oak tree fell during a storm on a recent night. A large portion of it landed on the roof. I called Office Manager Eileen at 8:00 the next morning. By 8:30, Jeff (and his attack Chihuahua!) were here to scope the job. By 9:00, his crew was here, removed the tree from the roof, cut off enough of the barely standing remainder of the tree to stabilize it, and tarped the hole in the roof. Jeff also referred a roofer, who came by within hours to plan the repair. Image Tree Services crew came back a couple of days later with a crane to finish the job. We hired Image Tree Service to do some maintenance work on our backyard trees. The crew spent 6 hours cleaning dead branches out of 3 redwood trees, removing two large branches and pruning 2 large maple trees and finally topping and thinning 2 dollar eucalyptus trees. The crew was knowledgeable, careful and very considerate of our next door neighbors yards. They cleared all of the debris and left our backyard in pristine condition. Once again, The Grove, Healdsburg hired Image Tree for major tree work. Noel and his crew (Leo, Nick, Sergio, Rigo, Celso and Aaron) went above and beyond the call of duty. Their work was done with skill and precision, from working on the grove of redwood trees in the middle of our property, to trimming crepe myrtles, oaks, ash, and all other trees throughout the properly. The best tree service in town. When you call, you talk to a real person not a recording. Ignacio, at Image Tree Service was very professional. He came out the same day we called (on time). His estimate was very fair and the job was scheduled promptly the next week. They arrived on the day we had scheduled, and the two guys they sent were professional and they obviously knew what they were doing. From the initial consult with Ignacio to the completed tree work, I've been super pleased with Image Tree Services. The project was at my vacation home in Guerneville and involved pruning a major oak tree and removing a volunteer bay tree. I highly recommend Image Tree Service as your go-to tree services. The customer service is superb and the crew does a great job. We had the best experience from the time I called into the office. Eileen was extremely helpful and sent Ignacio to give us a quote. Ignacio gave us a per tree quote as well as a daily rate. Eileen also called us to notify that they had an opening earlier than we had expected. Hooray! Most tree services we contacted were booked until late August and September, Image Tree Service was busy too, yet they had the courtesy to call us back to see if this earlier schedule met our needs. We finally decided to go on a daily rate since it was very reasonable. On the mutually agreed date, the three guy crew went to work immediately using a very handy cherry picker. I believe their names were Noel, Sergio, and Salvador. Noel would check with us to make sure the crew was cutting the correct trees to our satisfaction. The crew would accept our direction in terms of the height to which we wanted the trees cut. They cleaned up and chipped the wood. A reinforcement crew came to finish off the job, since two dry branches hanging over our driveway were missed by the initial crew. Image Tree Service kept their promise. I gave each and every one of the crew a tip because it was a very hot day and they worked through the day (with needed pauses, of course!) doing an excellent job. (Compared to another tree service we worked with two years ago for a huge job, they are by far superior. The other tree service cancelled our quote appointment this year and never got back to us. When I got back to their office they told me I had given them the wrong number (???). Still they had my email from a previous job. They never cared to email me to let me know the quote appointment had been suspended. The excuse was that they had a job to finish and therefore had cancelled my quote appointment!) I plan to work with Image Tree Service and especially with Ignacio if I ever need to have more dead trees/branches cut and other trees trimmed. They were outstanding. They were prompt and flexible with their quotes (per tree or per day), the office staff was amazing, and the crew who cut the trees were both efficient and effective. dreadful customer service Although this company came with good referrals, even the referring people agreed that the job done on my property was less than adequate. Job was not a big one but the gap between the work order you create with the estimator and the final outcome is enormous. Beware of the use of words like "light" pruning on the estimate as it is the means that this company uses to do a substandard job. Since the verbal discussion you have with the estimator then gets translated into a written estimate, you need to be as quantifiable as you possibly can. The discussion I had at the outset about removing deadwood and trimming back branches to blend in the canopy ended up being only trimming back of a few branches. Additionally, when one asks for a tree to be removed, one must also know to ask to have the stump removed (at extra charge). Don't mind the charge, but when I called to ask about it - the estimator admitted he had forgotten to ask me if i wanted it removed so that it could be included in original work order. 200 dollars and another site visit later the work was done as I naively had assumed it would be originally. Overall, the work done was substandard. I had to ask to have crew sent out again to prune as per the agreement with estimator. The repeat visit had better results but still was not complete to my specifications. Don't bother to complain about the work done...apparently they are perfect in every way and customer satisfaction is of no concern. You will be verbally berated and concerns will be ignored. During my FIRST conversation with the owner I was told by him that I am a nitpicker and threatened with legal action for withholding payment until work is done to my satisfaction. So much for voicing a concern. Oh yes legal intervention on work done originally on January 23 and remediated in early February. Inspected the work the week of the 16th of February - finding it still not done to my original specifications as at February 28. Trying to voice a concern is like dealing with petulant children - I was talked over and yelled at..awesome customer service. In short, you had better ensure that the estimate doesn't include non specific use of words like "light". You would be best to mark up photos to ensure you are on the same page at the outset as there is no recourse if you are not satisfied...there is NO guarantee of the work, the owner doesn't even pretend to care if you are a satisfied customer. Apparently he must have a litigation lawyer on staff as he wields that threat at our very first conversation. read more
