Vema helped us take down some trees that were endanger of falling on our house and cars. They came out and gave me a quote the same day I called and service was completed quickly. We had a painful situation with a mature tree being removed when we didn't ask for it. Edgar went out of his way to refund us and write us a letter. They have a great company. It pained me to write that review but losing a mature tree can do that. But they stand by their word. It is very much appreciated and I will continue to use them in the future as you should too. read more

I highly recommend Vema Tree service. They removed several trees from our property and trimmed back a few more. They did an excellent job, they were professional, knowledgeable, arrived on time, and cleaned up before leaving. The bid was more than fair, and they went above and beyond in our opinion. We will definitely use them again. read more

Highly recommend Vema Tree Service. This is our first time working with the company, but they came greatly recommended by one of our neighbors and our own experience with them proved it right. Very professional- starting from the initial phone call to finishing the job took within a week. Dante who visited us for a site inspection was extremely knowledgeable, wonderful to work with, great communication and gave us a straight forward estimate. Within the next two days Lalo and his crew came to do the job- we cut three small oaks, got rid of a couple of privets too all too close to the house--we are doing serious fire prevention. Also cleaned up two of our palm trees and they look so happy! Over all, fantastic work of cutting, trimming, and complete clean up. We will definitely work with them in the future. read more

Vema Tree Service - Happy cleaned up Palm Trees!! - Tree Services Near Me

Trees are beautiful but unfortunately there does come a point when they have to be maintained. I have a bunch of mature bay trees and a heritage live oak (about 150yrs). I had 5 different tree companies give me bids and not only was there a giant range in price but the things told to me varied widely. An arborist was also brought in for good measure! I decided to go with Vema because of Edgar's clear communication and estimate process. Four men arrived at the time we agreed upon and they WORKED!!!! From 8:00am to 6:00pm they transformed our trees, were safety conscious and made themselves available throughout the process. Honestly, I was dreading having to have tree work done but Vema did an excellent job. They cleaned up everything so well that my wife and daughter couldn't believe it. I've dealt with many tree services and Vema was awesome. I recommend them without hesitation! read more

Impressed with the quality of work. Edgar and his team go above and beyond--highly skilled, efficient and safe, offering invaluable suggestions. The team operates like one unified well-oiled machine. They cleared the overcrowding by taking down a 70-80 ft Monterey Pine, 20+ ft American Sweetgum/Liquid Ambar, various smaller trees and thinning the branches of over a dozen redwoods that stand over 100 ft tall. I now enjoy the filtering sunlight and the trees that surround me while perching myself on the stump of the Monterey Pine--a beautiful space has been created! read more

This is my second review for Vema. I had to write it because you don't know when dealing with a company if your experience is a one off. Not so with this company. Answered the phone right away, scheduled an estimate the same day and completed the work the following day. Santiago and his crew are awesome. These guys are professionals, they are very careful, respectful of your property and do an outstanding job. They asked me to do a google review but I don't have a google account. read more

Vema Tree Service is truly exceptional and absolutely deserves your business. This was my second experience with them in under three years, and once again, they exceeded every expectation. After their first visit a couple of years ago, I knew I wanted them back to continue caring for the trees around my home--and they reminded me exactly why. Edgar reached out to schedule an estimate, and he was prompt, warm, and thoroughly professional. His assessment was thoughtful and his pricing very reasonable. The work was booked for the next morning, and Angel and his crew arrived right on time. They checked in with me to ensure they fully understood the scope of work, then got started immediately with impressive focus and coordination. I had them remove a full oak tree, trim several large limbs, and reduce the height and weight on multiple mature trees throughout the property. Angel and his team worked with an efficiency and expertise that is rare--they are meticulous, hardworking, and careful to avoid causing any damage. It's clear they operate with strong communication, trust in one another, and a commitment to safety. Throughout the day, they checked in several times to confirm the work was being done exactly as I wanted. And the cleanup at the end was outstanding--my property was left even cleaner than before they arrived. Once again, I was genuinely impressed with the entire operation. They are reliable, fast, skilled, and friendly. And knowing they are fully licensed and insured adds an extra level of confidence and peace of mind. The Vema team consistently goes above and beyond. They are a top-tier business run by people who care about their craft and their customers. I recommend them wholeheartedly and already look forward to having them back in the future. Thank you Edgar, Angel, and Vema team! Until next time... read more

I am very pleased with the excellent service of Vema Tree Service. Eduardo and his team were professional, responsible, and respectful to me and my property. Everything was done with precision. The men worked as a team and the cleanup was impeccable. They gave me a very competitive quote as well. I had given the team permission to start the job before I got home. I was very surprised and pleased when Eduardo phoned me to tell me that they were at my home and asked for permission to enter the property which of course I granted. When I did get home, they were all there hard at work and Eduardo checked in with me to confirm and review what was to be done. Over the years I have used other tree services.I can honestly say there is no comparison with the quality of work, professionalism and pricing that they offer. They are the best. read more

At 1:30AM on 12/24/25, a hellacious wind and rain storm caused a large redwood tree failure that hit our house with extensive damage to our roof, chimney, skylights, solar tubes, roof vents, and gutters along with internal damage from branches puncturing and intruding into our home. At the same time, we were in the dark without power trying to stumble about and assess the explosion that just happened to our house of 35 years in Sebastopol city limits. We confirmed that all of us were safe and uninjured, and we made calls to Sebastopol PD and Sebastopol Fire who responded and confirmed that there was no threat from down power lines. They left because of the volume of calls from the storm. The best call we then made was to VEMA Tree Service for help. Owner Edgar said he would gather a crew and be there as soon as possible. He sent his able foreman, Angel, to coordinate a very large and complex down-tree removal on Christmas Eve morning and day. Angel directed and choreographed his crew and equipment all day and they were still working after dark in the rain...on Christmas Eve. I can't give high enough marks for VEMA Tree Service, Edgar, Angel and the hardworking VEMA crew. read more

Excellent service all around. I called several of the best customer rated tree companies on yelp. Edgar called me back within an hour, and he came out later that day to give me an estimate. His price was reasonable, another company was charging more than twice as much for the same work. I decided to go with VEMA, and a couple days later, their crew came out and did a really great job. I appreciated how responsive Edgar was when I called him with any questions, and how safely the crew worked, and made sure that when they dropped big limbs it didn't damage anything below like fences and sheds. Amazing really! read more

We had these palm trees are in our neighborhood they have been a nuisance to all the neighbors for many years these things were at least 60 feet tall and very close together. The amazing new neighbors hired Angel and his crew. They used our front yard to park their bucket truck, and access the trees from our yard. Angel the foreman was amazing and did a great job. We were super happy with the work that they all performed. Everything was done with consideration to making sure nothing got damaged in our yard as well as the neighboring yard, which are all very close. Did a great job protecting our fruit trees from getting damaged with falling palm fronds. Very happy with the job they did cleaning up and came over to confirm that we were happy with the cleanup. Would highly recommend this crew. 10 out of 10 stars from our side read more

My late husband is turning in his grave. I ask for a professional fruit tree pruning 11/25. I am still cleaning up their mess and awful pruning. They lied about having a arborist on site. Basically they pruned like they were trimming bushes. read more

I had Vema trim and crown two oak trees and two plum trees along with thinning out a 100 foot redwood tree with three trunks. Santiago and his crew of three did a great job. When they downed one of the trunks, from a cluster of three, of the redwood tree I had some trepidation because the offending trunk was mere feet from my deck and hot tub. But Santiago and his crew put my mind at ease with their efficient handling, cutting and the removal of the trunk. When all was said and done, everything was cleaned up nice and there was no damage. I have nothing but good things to say about Vema. Edgar was extremely accommodating at every stage of the process, including the scheduling of the estimate and my frequent texts about site specifics. Whole job barely took an hour, bill was reasonable, and we're happy to see the ugly junipers disappear! Thanks Vema! read more

I called Velma tree service and requested that someone come out and give me an estimate on what I want done. Edgar came and he was very nice. Looked over my stuff and gave me a quote. The guys were just here three of them. They did a great job. They cut back two very tall trees in front of the house and then went to the back yard and cut back more. From the beginning, when Dante gave us the estimate and went over everything, I felt confident in having Vema Tree Service do the job (and at a very reasonable price, I'll add) and I was not disappointed! Santiago and his crew did AMAZING work! Santiago went over all the work with me and asked questions to make sure it was clear. In one day, they trimmed and skinned our Mexican palm, trimmed our Yucca palms, took out a diseased Japanese Maple, trimmed back a neighbor's tree from our house, and the biggest job of all: pruning and raising the canopy on a group of six redwoods in our back yard. They were obviously a very skilled crew. They had all our neighbors mesmerized going up and down the redwoods to carefully prune and remove A LOT of dead wood and excess growth. They were careful and efficient and did a great job cleaning up, both in our yard and our neighbor's yard. Everything looked better than before they arrived. I was told by two other companies that it would not be worth skinning the palm tree because it would take too much time/money. When Dante did our estimate, he said it wasn't a problem: they did it the right way with a razor and it looks SO much better. We were very happy with their work. I'd definitely recommend Vema and I'll be calling them for any future tree work. read more

Vema removed a 50' Silk Oak for us in Healdsburg and they did a great job. They came with an eager team of 4, a chipper, and truck. Even though it rained during most of the job they worked without a break until the tree and debris were gone and the yard tidied up. Edgar bid the job and worked along side the crew just as hard as the rest. The negotiated price was competitive (after a bit of haggling) and fair. We contacted Vema Tree Service for a tree-trimming estimate (20 oaks and 3 other trees) and Miguel came out within 30 minutes. He was very pleasant and walked our entire property with us, listening to what our concerns were and explaining what he thought needed to be done with each tree. He used a laser to show the extent of what each trim would entail. He gave us an estimate on the spot and a date when the work could take place. The estimate seemed very reasonable so we called the next day and agreed to the proposal. As stated, the crew showed up on time Monday morning and completed the work by Tuesday evening. They were courteous, mindful of our other plants and trees, and their clean up was impeccable. During the work, I had a question for Miguel and he responded by coming by the job site and answering it on the spot. I highly recommend Vema and will use their services in the future. read more
