Stuffed Pappardelle

Incredible. Service was the best, I was at the bar, the bartender was a hoot. Could easily be his own show. The food was stunning. Italian staples but also some dishes with a twist. I got the. Stuffed papadelle. It was soooo good. The flavors were so complex. The asparagus with pistachio was also delicious.

I found this place while looking for a pre-show meal at bass hall. This was some of the best pasta I have had. Our server was super nice and helpful with what we should get. The meatballs were the only thing that were just okay. I honestly am still thinking about that linguine pasta with shrimp. If you need a delicious meal in the area, Il Modo is amazing and worth a try.

It's so rare these days to find a great hotel-attached restaurant in a nice hotel that still has an affordable brunch menu. Il Modo at the Kimpton in Downtown Fort Worth is that rare find! Sunday brunch doesn't limit you to just the breakfast menu, so if you want a more substantial meal, go for it. Hubby had the Steak and eggs. It comes with their roasted potatoes, but he was able to substitute avocado. I got their burrata appetizer with sourdough slices and this delicious cherry compote along with their roasted Brussels Sprouts. They roast pearl onions in with the Sprouts and it kicks it up a notch or two. Our server, I believe her name was Faith, was definitely a busy woman, but she always made the time to check in and get us the things we needed. Valet parking is available for $10 with a stamp from the restaurant and they were quick even with us being there at hotel check out time. We'll definitely be back.

Brunch Pizza*

Food: the calamari was really good with the dipping sauce not sure what the cream sauce was but it was good. The marinara sauce has a kick to it. The arugula and the peppers that it came with were so good. I had the brunch pizza. It wasn't bad but wasn't great a little on the saltier side. Service: they took care of us. Ambience: nice place had a bar more of a lounge vibe. I would try to go back again.

The service here is so great! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and made this visit a great birthday experience. We got the Tuscan sunset and the il lago for our drinks. Both 10/10. The meatballs were soft and flavorful and the sauce had a nice little kick. We got the sea food capellini which was also great. It came with clams, shrimp, and calamari and made for a great combo. We also got a tiramisu and you could really taste the espresso in it which I loved. It was over all a great experience down to the food and service. This did not affect my experience just adding a tip for parking! If you are doing vallet, tell them 20 minutes before you leave to retrieve the car especially on a weekend because you might have to wait a while. There are also many walkable parking spots near by as well.

I love the Kimpton Harper Hotel in downtown Fort Worth and a bonus. Is this cute little restaurant that is on the first floor they have amazing breakfast and I was so lucky to get to stay there last night so of course I had to get this for my way home that is a breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese and breakfast potatoes all great and the service was super fast. It was ready to go when I was getting my valet!

Steak and Eggs*

We only went here for breakfast, as it was included in our room at the hotel that we booked with IHG rewards. It was the best "free breakfast " we've had in a long time, everything was high quality and flavorful and there were so many options! My husband loved the Benedict so much he had it both days. I had steak and eggs one day and another time the full breakfast. The best breakfast potatoes I have ever had! Also excellent service, really pleasant servers all around.

Linguini Carbonara

Linguine Carbonara! Legit AMAZING. Pasta was SUPER FRESH. The Burrata was delicious. I do prefer it with tomato and basil, but the fruit is an interesting twist. My server was perfect. Very polite and just the right amount of attentive. The interior is chic, clean, modern. Because it's downtown, parking is a challenge. I went on a Monday and parked about a block away at a meter and strolled 6 minutes to the front door. I've added this to my top two Italian restaurants in Fort Worth.

Veal Cheek

My lady and I were feeling in the mood for Italian and decided to come here, as it was close to where we live and seemed to have good reviews. We were both very pleasantly surprised. The drinks were very good and the service was top notch. As a New Yorker who has been on the search for a good pizza since moving to Texas several years ago, I think the pizza left much to be desired, but that's okay. The meatballs were excellent and the veal cheek was exceptional. Overall would definitely recommend and we will be back.

Braised Short Rib*

Il Modo is small but nice and cozy little restaurant. We went on Valentine's Day so both the kitchen and the bar were backed up and slow. The server was very nice and professional. We started with crispy calamari and grilled octopus and they were the stars on the evening. They were delicious. We ordered braised short rib, Pappardelle, and diver scallop risotto. The short rib and Pappardelle were under seasoned. The diver scallop risotto was slightly undercooked. The food was good but just few problems. It was a lovely night out for Valentine's Day.

My granddaughter is visiting and I wanted her to see some of Fort Worth so we walked around near Sundance Square. She wanted Italian and found il Modo in the Kimpton Harper hotel. It was a short walk down a lovely street. Lunch on this Saturday wasn't busy so we were seated right away. I tried the Aperol Spritz $11 and it was really nice. We shared some calamari $18 (not real tasty but not overly bland) and Meatballs $16 (larger than I expected and a little too much sauce, which is better than dry). I loved the seating. I prefer to sit in a booth but my granddaughter grabbed it. My seat was so comfortable that I didn't mind it a bit! We could see a bit of the street out the windows, really nice. She ordered a margherita pizza $15 but it seemed each time she tried to pick up a slice, all the toppings came off, so it was a little clumsy to eat but she enjoyed the flavors. We each enjoyed dessert - I had the cannoli $9. It was good and the fruit served with it was fresh. She ordered the creme brulee $10 and I had a taste - yum! The custard was lovely and the topping crusted perfectly. I appreciate a little more attention when a restaurant isn't busy and our server checked on us often. I believe even the manager passed by and asked how everything was. So I have to give this visit 5 stars - they checked all my boxes for good food, good service and a nice atmosphere. I live in Dallas, I need to check if we have an il Modo here!

Located on the ground floor of the Kimpton Harper hotel, this restaurant gave me the cafe vibe more than a restaurant. I've only had the chance to have breakfast there but their menu includes brunch items. I ordered the Il Modo Frittata. Was worried about the goat cheese --- if it would have a lot of it, but was assured by the server that it's not overpowering and she was right! I actually liked this dish a lot! It had that sweet taste from the squash and savory from the goat cheese. The goat cheese was served crumbled on top, so you can pick it out if you don't want too much of it (or you could probably ask the kitchen to serve it on the side). All the ingredients worked well together so don't dismiss goat cheese if you haven't tried it. The sage added a nice finishing taste to the frittata. Served with roasted potatoes. Staff were friendly. Service was a bit slow, but I wasn't in a hurry that morning so all good.

Gluten free options!!…read more We are so thankful Giovanni's offers gluten-free options! My mother-in-law has celiac disease, and we were literally seconds away from going somewhere else because we didn't realize there were gluten-free choices. I would highly encourage adding that information to your menu or advertising it more prominently. There are so many people who struggle to find safe, satisfying meals, and there's only so many salads a girl can eat! Now for the food... wow! The cheesy garlic bread with olive oil is absolutely to die for. The Pasta Trio was delicious, but the lasagna completely stole the show for me. It was so good that it's what I ordered the second time we came back! We had a party of eight, and every single person loved their meal. Great food, generous portions, and something everyone enjoyed. We'll definitely be back, and we'll be recommending Giovanni's to anyone looking for amazing Italian food. Especially those needing gluten-free options!

He took time going over the menu with us, making recommendations and checking back at all the right moments. My Grey Goose martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives were chilled perfectly. The rosemary bread was amazing! It didn't even need any of the butter and sauce that was served along with it. Nathan said the Serpente was a great vegetarian option. I decided to add lump crab meat on top. OHHH my gosh!! So amazing!! The ricotta was super creamy and the crab meat was a perfect match for this entree. The restaurant was elegant and had a romantic like setting. It was clean, quiet and the restrooms were probably the nicest I have ever been in. I loved the dark marble and decor. One of the best meals I've had all year, this is a Tarrant County gem. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - On my Saturday visit, Acquario Italian Restaurant was busy and full of energy. Acquario has a very upscale feel, with dim lighting, heavy white tablecloths, and lots of pretty people. You can make a reservation on Open Table. 1 Star. Service - Our server was exceptional. He made many recommendations and didn't need to write down our order. He checked in several times, and a manager even stopped by asking us how things were. Our table settings were cleared after each course, and the entire time we felt like we were at a fine dining establishment (because we were). 1 Star. Food - We began with several starters, but the two most outstanding were the Octopus Ceviche and the Grilled Octopus. The Ceviche was light and fresh, and the Grilled Octopus was tender with a smoky char. The presentation was outstanding. For my main, I chose the Ravioli Tartufo. I discovered this rich, savory, truffled infused cheese at one of my favorite soufflé spots in Dallas, so when I saw Acquario had a ravioli version, I ordered it. It easily exceeded my expectations, the creamy Tartufo cheese sauce was smooth, velvety, and creamy. And none was spared, as it made an excellent dipping sauce for the house made Italian bread. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes.... I hope. Keller is pretty far for me, and there are many delicious Italian restaurants in Dallas. But wow, Acquario Italian Restaurant has permanently made its mark on me, and I will be looking for an excuse to return (or hope they open a second location in Dallas County). 1 Star.

Wait staff dressed uniformly. Dining area divided into sections, so we sat in a cozy intimate "corner" with a few other tables. Wait staff: Clean, neat and friendly. Our server was a WONDERFUL young lady named Jasmine. Very attentive, almost "intuitive", but not too intrusive. Perfect service. Food: Bread was nice, in house made garlic rolls with a light pretzel salt on top. I had Chicken Parmigiana, on a bed of thin spaghetti. My wife had the Lasagna. Portions were very generous. (I'm Cajun, so a "portion" to me usually feeds two. I was full and happy.) Chicken was fresh, hot, perfect breading. Marinara sauce tasted like homemade sauce, with a perfect amount and blend of Italian herbs. I had my wife's leftover lasagna for supper. (She loved it, but there was a lot.) It was every bit as good as my entree. I'm guessing that was ground veal. Wonderful! A gentleman I assume was the owner/manager came around to personally make sure the dining experience was good. Price was well in line with other sit down restaurants. (About $37 for both, and got 3 meals out of it.) Overall experience: I'd give it a 9.5, only because I don't give 10's. (Unless you feed me by hand, and wash and wax my car. HA!) We will *DEFINITELY* go back. (OK. I admit. That means I'll be harassing my wife to go back sometime this week. But, it really was GREAT!
